This doctor ruined my life. Find someone with any semblance of decency. He ruined my right eye and abandoned care. I am still trying to fix what has been done and my eyes will never be the same. I have horrible scarring from seeking revision fixes and will likely need another one just to try to get my eyes in any way back to a reasonable state. The way he treated me afterwards is appalling and his arrogance beyond heartbreaking. My eyes were beautiful before surgery. I don't feel I'll ever be the same- on any level. When I read other people's posts about Kun Kim's demeanor and botched surgeries, it felt like they were describing my very own experience with him! He was acting nice to me at the initial consultation but after getting the money and when things didn't turn out right, he did a 180 on me. Like some other ladies, my eyelids were decent before surgery, I just wanted some enhancements. Well, Kun Kim botched them so bad, my upper waterlines are now exposed to the air and cause severe dry eyes, which I have to use prescription eye drops chronically. I'm afraid to face people because of my deformed upper eyelids. I can only get out of the house after spending copious amounts of time tightlining my upper waterlines (which makes the dry eyes worse, and all that chemical couldn't be too good for my eyes when they constantly touching them) and fake thick-framed glasses to help hide the very surgical-looking eyelids. When I politely expressed my concerns at follow up appointments, he laughed in my face and tried to gaslight me into thinking that he did an excellent job and that my eyelids were completely fine. He then went into the next room and loudly told his next patient about me and they both laughed as though my disfigurement was the most funny thing they've ever heard! Total unprofessionalism that a caring and ethical doctor would never imagine doing! By the way, during my surgery, he and his assistants were talking trash about a patient who just stopped by to complain about her recent surgery done by him. Kun Kim kept mocking me and blatantly told me to learn to like my new looks. I feel like a sucker for being swindled thousands of dollars to suffer and look horrendous for the rest of my life. I have been to Dr Kim many times for Botox and fillers, he is a skilled injector and always lets you see in the mirror periodically during the injection process to assure patient satisfaction and input. I think that is most important for me, having the control over what result I want. He is honest and has a great sense of humor and attitude, I would recommend over and over. Dr. Kim is an ENT doctor that specializes in plastic surgery procedures in addition to cosmetic procedures that are not surgical, such as microdermabrasion and botox. Much of his clientele is in the Asian community (he's Korean) and does many procedure popular within that niche. Clientele is diverse though since he's been featured on AJC and NBC news. ATMOSPHERE: Very nice office. Clean and neat. In a shopping complex that includes a clothing store, furniture store, and a couple of restaurants. SERVICES: Excellent. Dr. Kim provides additional services if justified to satisfy patients without charging extra for procedure or consultation. In addition, with every procedure you get a certificate to get microdermabrasion and facial without any charge at his branch clinic, which is more of a "medspa" by Perimeter Mall. Something like that is probably worth couple $200. Consultation fee of ~$70 is waived if procedure is done. After procedures they give you cute little gift bags with all the post-op needs - antibiotics, tylenol, gauze, band aids, additional prescription if needed, etc. They have a post-op room for you to rest and they even called a cab for me on one occasion when I needed it. On one occasion since I was coming from out of town to visit, they scheduled my surgery the same day after my consultation! I was very grateful since it is often hard to accommodate additional procedures on a full surgery day. I also got Latisse here and they sell it here for $120. PRICES: I know that price should be no object when considering important life changing surgical procedure but I have to comment on this. For the procedures and service, this is a bargain since he's so reasonable. He does offer the professional discount. LOCATION: Off of Buford Hwy and Oakcliff Rd intersection on the Asian section of Buford Hwy down the street from the big farmer's market. Doctor Kim and his staff are the BEST. I go to him for all of my injectables and I've been with him since I was 21-22 years old (I am 28 now). I always had freckles when I was young. People commented how cute they were and I always loved them. However, as I aged, those cute freckles started to grow closer together, connecting the tiny specs on my upper cheeks likes webs of constellations. Was that one near my right eye the Little Dipper? Hmmm, the one on the left looked a lot like Cassiopia. Not to mention, age spots appeared on each side of my temples. Ugh! What is this??? I tried all kinds of primers, foundations, and concealers from Maybelline to Chanel. I tried all kinds of skin treatments to fade my spots. Nothing, I mean nothing, worked. I just ended up spending hundreds of dollars and looking like I had layers of frosting on my skin. Desparate, I even went to Estheticians after Estheticians, who all promised me clear skin after ten treatments. My skin did feel better, and the sessions were totally like being at the spa getting pampered, but my spots were still there. A friend of mine mentioned that I should try going to Dr. Kun Kim for laser. My consultation with Dr. Kim was a bit intimidating, and I wasn't sure if his laser solution would work, but I took the chance and had the Erbium with Q-Switch procedure. For a week after my treatment, my skin was dark like I had an uneven tan. Plus, the Q-Switch spots were black with scabs. I could hide the blotchyness with lots of makeup, but I could tell people were trying to look beyond my makeup to see what I was hiding. No worries though, after a week, my face and the Q-Switch spots peeled off. My face felt super soft, however, the Q-Switch spots were still pink...kind of like raw skin. It took a few months for these pink spots to finally disappear with new skin growth to match with the rest of my face. I think my age (50) played a lot in the delay of healing, because the friend who referred me (27), healed after only a week. The laser treatments in combination with Obagi's Vitamin C Extract removed most of my spots. Now I no longer need to "frost and spackle" my face with foundation. I just use a tinted sunscreen and I'm ready to go. I absolutely love my clear skin! I get compliments everyday that my skin is glowing and I that look younger. I feel younger again too! "Dr." Kun Kim BUTCHERED my face!!! This arrogant, smug prick disfigured my face! I went in for Botox and he mentioned that I had extra skin on my eyelids. I told him I was going to see an Oculoplastic surgeon (specialist) because my eyelids were literally getting stuck shut. He then made a case of how he could do the surgery and started quoting stats. I told him I read several reviews online stating he gave them uneven eyes and scars. He looked me in my eyes and lied. He said that the reviews were untrue and he had performed over 2000 surgeries during the past 18 years. Well not only is he a horrible surgeon, but he is a big LIAR! I have since spoken to several people that stated Dr. Kim BUTCHERED their faces. He botched my eyes. My horrific scars look like the work of Edward Scissor Hands. He stuffed so much fat in my cheeks that it looks like I'm storing nuts for the winter. After months of being swollen, I went in and raised hell. I demanded my money back. He begged me to trust him to correct his mistakes constantly stating "I have options." Silly me I should have never let him touch me again because things went from bad to worse. During the second surgery, instead of this moron removing some of the excessive fat, he scraped my cheeks from my face and attached them to the corners of my eyes. Yes, you read that right! As a result, my entire jawline, face and eyes collapsed. Now my sight is impaired. I'm not certain, but maybe the floor of his surgical room is tilted because when he lifted my cheeks they are now asymmetrical. Oh did I fail to mention that he must have been a bit hungry at the time with McDonald's on his mind because he cut my brows in the shape of Ronald McDonald clown arches. In the end he said I would have to learn to live with the scars. I could not believe what I was hearing! I was holding a mirror at the time and I almost hit him upside his head for his flippant attitude. He saw what my reactions were and said, "You almost bopped me with the mirror." I'm glad I was able to sensor myself in that moment, but it would have served him right. He thinks he can butcher and disfigure people without any consequences. FYI, he made a half-hearted settlement attempt in hopes of keeping me from suing him and ruining his reputation. Well, I say the heck with him and his reputation. He deserves to be EXPOSED!!! I am very impressed with Dr. Kim and his excellent staff. I needed a revision on a previous upper blepharoplasty that I had years ago. I was very nervous and hopeful that Dr. Kim would be able to fix a very difficult revision with lots of scar tissue. It has been over a month since Dr. Kim's revision on my upper lids and I can confidently say, Dr. Kim is an excellent surgeon. I want to thank him and his team for giving me hope and for their moral support. I would highly recommend Dr.Kim. He is very confident and an excellent surgeon. The WORST experience with any hospital/clinic-related incident EVER. DO NOT GO HERE. They initially lure you with fake smiles and empty promises and give no results. Later (after you pay, $3000 for my procedure) when you ask questions about the outcome of the procedure, they are VERY RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL about how they answer and treat their patients. I never write on yelp but this time I had to. I went here for something I have been stressed out about for many, many years and finally decided to go to a surgeon. On my first visit and the day of the surgery Dr. Kim and the staff seemed friendly and considerate and they pretend to listen to my concerns. During the appointment and after the surgery (the day of), they told me that if I'm not satisfied with the outcome or something needs to be touched up more, they can do a second appointment for better results and even made me pick a day for the appointment before I left that day. THEY LIED TO ME. After 6 months when I met with Dr. Kim and shared my concern that the surgery didn't fix what I went there for and most of the problem remained the same (which we could see on the comparison photos), he said that he would have to charge another $1500 to do a second surgery, that he cannot do a second one free of charge and denied that he had said that he could do second for free. He was also VERY ARROGANT AND OFFENSIVE in the way he was speaking to my mother and me even when he was talking about the results, which I was shocked to see from a doctor. Frustrated, my mother and I walked out and spoke to the receptionist and the nurse about the situation. THEY WERE WORSE. They didn't even try to listen to what we had to say, interrupting us whenever we try to say something. The nurse was incredibly ILL-MANNERED and UNPROFESSIONAL. She SCOFFED at my mother as she was explaining the situation and when my mother questioned why she scoffed at her and asked for an apology for her rudeness, she pretended as if she didn't understand Korean. Unbelievable...There was a lot more mess and rudeness from them and this is only a glimpse of what really happens in that office. VERY UNHAPPY. after doing research, I refered my friend to him for Asian eyelid surgery. I went to the consultation with her and he seemed very focused and "straight to the point" type. I have had cosmetic procedures done before by other surgeons and they all made me feel alot more welcomed. With Dr. Kim, it was more of "get to the point" and then off you go. Since we didnt find anyone else in the area who was specialized in Asian eye lid surgery, my friend decided to go through with the procedure with him. Plus his price was very good I must admit. Her results came out pretty good but again, on her follow-up appointment he wasnt that friendly. So a few months go by and I refered my own mother to him. He was still the same. Not very friendly but more of the "get to the point" attitude and off you go. He seemed like he's always in a hurry. She told him exactly what she wanted and he said he could do it. His staff is GREAT. they were all WONDERFUL. a few months go by and my mother comes back for a follow-up. She hasnt been too happy with the results. He tells her to wait a little bit longer to see true results. So a year goes by and she comes back to see him. I came with her to see him and let me tell you I was VERY UPSET with how he treated my mother. My mother is usually the type that will tell you how she feels and put you in your place. But instead, the whole time I just tried to re-assure my mom that she looked great just so that way she wouldnt get upset with him and tell him off. He pulls up my mom's before picture and he says to her in a rude way "THATS YOU BEFORE AND RIGHT NOW IS THE BEST YOU'RE EVER GONNA GET". I was so taken back by this I just didn't even know what to say. Instead, he should have said to my mother how beautiful her results were and that she shouldn't have any worries. That would have made things alot better, but he didn't do that. My mom was explaining to him her concerns and why things didnt come out like how she wanted during the consultation and he just kept taking deep breaths and was being so rude to her. It really hurt my feelings to see someone treat my mother this way. So when he was done speaking, he just got up first like "ok we're done time for you to leave". That was so very rude because my mother wasn't even done but I just got up and told her let's go because I couldn't take it anymore. I continued to tell my mom how beautiful she was just so that she wouldn't feel bad and I told her to consider getting another opinion from another surgeon. His staff is very sweet and nice he should learn how a few things from them on how to treat people. If he doesn't like dealing with people, he should consider retiring or changing his career because that is not the way to treat people. I regret taking my mother to him and I do not recommend him to anyone. Go elsewhere if you want to be treated like a human being. read more

I used to be a client of Dr. Kim's however over the year's I noticed his manners have changed. He's cold, impatient, and abrupt. Also, the quality of botox changed for the worse in my experience. Do your research before getting any procedure done. My mom had her eyes done here to have the extra sagging skin remove. Basically he doesn't do any sterilized procedure he will numb one eye up leave the room come back n cut and then leave the the room again. He's probably seeing patients in between procedures. Her eyes was so bruise up she couldn't see for a couple of days and had a eye infection. Her eyes wasn't even. She went back for her follow up and he wanted to do another procedure to eye that doesn't need to be fix. The eye that had the extra skin needed to be fix. To keep it short we never return to him. I met Dr. Kun Kim at Lifestyles lift. He talked me into coming to his office at 3042 Oakcliff Rd. I was so excited to have this done by a "DOUBLE BOARD CERTIFIED PLASTIC SURGEON", (which I found out he was not a Double Board Certified Plastic Surgeon later on). I could not wait. On March 2014 I finally had it done. When they removed the bandage from my face I was so DISAPPOINTED. I had a open cut in my hairline which was a sloppy open cut. I also noticed the laugh lines were NOT FILLED in around my nose and mouth. His nurse told me they had taken the fat from my stomach and injected it into the lines, and that is why I went home with a band aid full of blood. After bringing this to her attention, she said she did not have time for me to give this Doctor a BAD REVIEW.. Bad review..WHAT? I NEVER went home with a band aid FULL OF BLOOD. As a matter of fact Dr Kim had poked or even pinched my stomach twice. Once on my stomach and the other by my navel to make it seem like he was extracting fat from that area. He charged me $8500.00 for the whole Facial Procedure. One week after the surgery I asked him, "why it doesn't look like the laugh lines were done"? He said it will take awhile, because my face was swollen for the fat to fall in place, I went back to see him in April of 2014 (a month later) to have the stitches removed. ONE week after the stitches were removed, my ear came apart from my face. OH MY GOD! I had to go back for more stitches in that area. I then asked him about the laugh lines again and he came up with another excuse by saying the fat could have spread out around that area and you just don't see it, but for $600 more I could use another type of filler. WOW, I just paid you $8500.00 which INCLUDED THE LAUGH LINES. HUM? I Then went back again in May, June then July. Still asking about why the laugh lines were not filled out and here again the same things. HOWEVER He kept pushing the $600.00 filler, but he then said I could give you a discount on the $600.00 and charge you only $300.00. By this time I knew he had taken my money and LIED about injecting the fat into my laugh lines. In August of 2014 I could no longer go back to Doctor Kun Kim, because my father was diagnosed with cancer up North. I can't remember how many times I had gone back to Dr. Kim, because I had more important things now to worry about, but, before I went up North, I had notices every time I would ask about the fat injection he would look at his notes and come up with many more excuses. The best excuse he told me was "after three months it had(the fat), vanished". What a LIAR. It VANISHED, BECAUSE HE NEVER INJECTED THE FAT FROM MY STOMACH TO MY LAUGH LINE IN MY FACE. I stayed up North to help my father, at the same time I had an uneasy spirit that would not allow me to rest, when it came to the MONEY Dr Kun Kim had charged me for a services he NEVER PERFORMED. November 2015 my dad passed and I was able to come back and focus on the MONEY I WAS CHARGED FOR A SERVICE THE DOCTOR NEVER DID. I didn't want to go back to Dr. Kim, because it had become a trust issue. I can NO longer trust this Doctor. I did however go back to him in November of 2016 and here again I had asked him about the fat injection and was told after three years it had vanished. When he showed me the before pictures and after pictures I asked him how come they look the same? HE COULD NOT GIVE ME AN ANSWER. He then told me to make an appointment with him in December 2016, he would look for a sample, and inject the sample into the laugh lines...hum??? I must say after I had read Stock S.' comments about Dr. Kun Kim I NO LONGER CAN AND WILL TRUST THIS Doctor. I had always respected this Doctor and trusted him, but at this point and time I am no longer able to trust him. Dr. Kun Kim, YOU OWE ME MONEY FOR A SERVICE YOU NEVER PERFORMED. I AM NOW ASKING YOU FOR $3400.00 BACK. I did however call my Attorney and she said a DEMAND LETTER CAN BE SENT TO YOU. A contract is good for up to 6 years. GIVE ME BACK MY MONEY. I am now going to another Plastic Surgeon who is going to redo what should have been done. I have so many regrets in my life and one of them is having this Doctor work on my face. What I have learned from this experience is READ ALL COMMENTS AND ASK QUESTIONS. If the Doctors has 1 to 3 1/2 stars DO GO TO HIM. I have notice Dr. Kim has a lot of 5 stars???
