I really love Dr. Whiteman. I was very excited for him to do my blepharoplasty and neck/chin lipo. He is a very professional. He is an excellent doctor and I like his office staff. The reason for the three stars is because although he did a competent job, he was too conservative on the amount of skin he removed from my eyelids and left them still looking saggy. It was definitely an improvement, but was not the phenomenal result that I was hoping for. At 50, with good skin, I think that the result I was hoping for was achievable. After two years, it already looks like I need to have them done again. My neck was also an improvement, but not nearly as taut as it should've been all things considered. One side was left more flabby than the other side. I understand these things can happen during surgery and nothing is guaranteed. However, I do feel that a different surgeon could've given me a better result. So while I would not recommend him to family or friends, I would also not discourage people from using him because I have seen other results that are better than mine. read more

I first met dr Whiteman in 2014 I lived local he did a beautiful breast augmentation with a lift I was 48 years old breastfed 3 children and he made me look and feel amazing in my breast and skin it has carried me in taking care of myself and received many compliments albeit no one knew I had a breast augmentation I had since moved to San Diego a city I love for all thing mind body soul looking your best is something important there and came very easy I fit right in I've always been into physical fitness but when it came to breasts they didn't necessarily fit with the rest of my body so doing the augmentation transformed the last piece to pull me together fast forward almost 11 years I injured one implant doing an activity I had not done before irregardless for my health and well being in the recommendation to replace implants every 10 years I felt it time to either remove completely or go down to smaller implants By now I had moved from San Diego and was now in New England I thought to look for a local surgeon and made an appointment with a woman surgeon thinking who better than a woman to do a breast augmentation and knowing recovery has it difficulties traveling just wasn't on the radar screen that was quickly dismissed thinking after the realization I had already found the best of the best in dr David whiteman and his staff Beth Jackie Maria the hospital he utilizes anesthesiologist nurses both then and now I flew back to Georgia and had all the comforts like I was going back home everyone was as exactly as I remembered and experienced all still there in staff which speaks volumes so caring kind professional i am a week postoperative and while needing mesh because I wanted to be smaller threw me a curveball my breast's the second time will be as beautiful as the first time it has been a bit more painful and going to take more time to get to the final results but I can already see it coming together nicely Dr Whiteman s experience in listening to what I wanted the second time were excellent he picked out the ccs he new would give me the results did a follow up from my house after my fly in the results are slow and speaking for themselves I can't wait to dress up and feel and look great again if you are out of state dr Whiteman is very accommodating I forgot to mention making an appointment with 24 hours notice him being able to accommodate my flight and time of day thank you Dr Whiteman and staff read more

I cannot endorse this surgeon for augmentation. I had him replace my emplants and I preface there was absolutely nothing wrong with them other than age--it was just time to replace them. The result I ended up with was I looked like I had never worn a bra a day in my life, they were sagging down about three inches past where they should have been and one was bigger than the other. At my post op visit I didn't say one word but stand there and let him look at his work and tell me what he thought. He admitted it was bad, he tried to say one implant had deflated somewhat and also said somehow they fell out of the pocket. He want me to give it a few weeks to wait to see if it corrected itself. Oh ok like maybe a miracle would happen, or maybe I would get hit by a car-die and you would never see me again. Few weeks later I show back up and it's not better, rather worse. He says he will take me back to surgery to perhaps fill them up with more saline. I interjected and said NO, if they have deflated there is an issue with them as well as the fact they are sagging down. His office then tells me I have to pay the surgery fee of $1,587. Umm no, you messed up and messed up bad this is on you. A bit of argument ensues and I said bottom line "but for the surgeon not doing it properly I wouldn't be going back under the knife--I am not paying you to correct your mistake." I scheduled the re-implant surgery and instead of Whiteman replacing them, he just filled them up with more saline. I still look bad, really bad, even worse than before of course because it's just a bigger mistake and am going to have it redone properly somewhere else. I'm not even sure what the legalities are that I signed surgical papers for a re-implantation and he decided without my consent while I was under anesthesia to just add more saline, sew me up and call it a day?? I saw Dr. Whiteman in 2015 for minor acne scars on my face. The technique he performed caused the cuts he made on my face to heal in the open position. At the follow up appointment I told him that it did not appear my scars were healing properly. He told me all was well. I went back again because the my scars looked like gashes and holes in my face. Dr. Whitman told me that he stitched the wounds too close together which caused the skin to pull open. I was able to get my money back. He later offered to use a new permanent filler on my skin...I would have been his first patient with this product. I declined the offer as my face was already scared by his initial work and I simply did not trust his skills and abilities as a physician. Since 2015 I have spent thousands of dollars trying to correct Dr. Whitman's gashes and holes that he put on my face. I have had some improvements but my scars are still very noticeable 5 years later. I am going to see a scar specialist in Florida to hopefully correct Dr Whitman's mistakes. I also have a dear friend who had a horrible experience with Dr Whitman years ago as he caused permanent arm scars following a surgery. I have never posted a review but he permanently damaged my face and I don't want this to happen to anyone else. read more

My experience with Dr. David Whiteman and his team of stellar professionals has exceeded my expectations. Earlier this year, my primary doctor suspected some health issues after conducting a thorough physical exam. She referred me to many different specialists. It was incredibly challenging, given the fact that I had no clue as to where I would begin. One of my diagnoses' required further examination by a plastic surgeon. The same diagnosis was confirmed by several plastic surgeons to whom I went for second, third, fourth, (and yes, even fifth) opinions. I noticed a pattern in each office; my initial consultation would be great; however, after the initial appointment, the communication would either cease, become contradictory, or just plain ineffective. I was delighted to speak to Jackie Madison. Not only was Ms. Madison incredibly friendly, but also, knowledgeable, empathetic, reassuring, and always available to answer any and all questions that came up. At my initial consultation, Ms. Madison remembered me and took the time to walk out of her office to greet me. She seemed genuinely happy to see me. She really made a difference and made me feel as if I mattered. The office was tastefully decorated and squeaky clean. The waiting room was not piled up with patients who were overbooked and had to wait over two hours. Dr. Whiteman stole the show. A very humble gentleman, he blew my mind with his humor, wit, and knowledge. He was "to the point." I appreciate these qualities. He was the first surgeon who did not immediately blurt out a "medical diagnosis" for my condition. David Whiteman is a surgical god. At my initial consultation, we sat down and talked about my goals. He really listened to what I was saying, then he took some measurements, and we formulated a plan that was right for me. At this visit, I was most impressed with his level of professionalism. His office staff was bright, friendly, and unpretentious. You see, I had already had a consult with another Atlanta surgeon, and I had even scheduled surgery with her. During the time between that pre-op and surgery day, I had two friends tell me that they were not happy with their experiences with her. Even though she refused to refund my deposit, I cancelled, and I'm so glad I did. Dr. Whiteman's consultation was on another level completely - he and Beth (MA) were much more thorough, taking measurements, etc, which is something that the other surgeon never did. Until I met Dr. Whiteman, I was in the dark about what a real surgery consultation was supposed to be like. This Dr Performed a breast reduction on me and performed a completely different method on each breast. My breasts are not even, and one is larger than the other. They tell you that this will probably be the case (asymmetry) but performing a completely different method on each one? It's like after he finished one, and was worried he was going to miss his golf game and started rushing to finish up. When I went in for a check up after the surgery he said "I know they are a little different but they're different in the crease underneath your breast." Really? Back then I was young and didn't speak up for myself and was just so happy to downsize that I didn't say anything. BUT did I really want him to operate on me again?! Talk about between a rock and a hard place. He did Nene's nose on Atlanta Housewives, maybe he should stick with noses. His bedside manner is horrible. He is not warm, does not listen and is just in it to make the money. I hate that he can get away with this. I don't how he can get any good reviews.
