My family and I needed a quick, easy, and affordable last-minute dinner, so we searched for a pho restaurant in our area that was open late. We found this place, and I'm glad we did. They were open until 10pm. We arrived at 9pm and the place was empty. They only had one other customer who was finishing up when we got there. It's a really spacious restaurant, double the size of a typical pho restaurant. Our waitress was really nice and helpful. My husband ordered the pan fried flat noodles with beef and mixed vegetables. He asked for his noodles to the be on the side since he likes it crunchy and didn't want it to soak in the gravy and become soggy. The portion was generous and the flavor of the gravy was yummy. He really enjoyed it. I ordered a large bowl of pho with lean beef and meatballs. I shared some of my pho with my daughter. The broth was just right! I didn't need to added fish sauce or soy sauce, just the usual hoisen and sriracha sauce needed for pho. Now we have a go-to pho restaurant that isn't too far and stays open late. read more

The Pho is legit. We had mostly beef cuts with our order and it was takeout. Broth is nicely seasoned and you get a hint of the star anise that is sometimes missing. Noodles were excellent and I asked for no cilantro and got NO CILANTRO! The place looked really clean inside and the service was fast and friendly. Should have known better after seeing that the marquee sign hadn't been maintained and lights were missing. Should have known better after seeing that the grade-school window shades were pulled down to the tops of high-back chairs along the window. Should have known better after seeing how empty the restaurant was on a Saturday night (it *was* raining, but middle of dinner hours). Should have known better after having to ask for water twice, and a menu three times. Yet, craving traditional Vietnamese entrees, my family stayed. Ordered. And grimaced through about half our meals before the empty calories weren't worth the torture we were putting our taste buds through. - A spicy beef dish which was obviously a *different* beef dish on the menu, garnished with spicy peppers before being served (no spice-heat on beef nor sauce). - Sweet and sour pork which literally tasted like chicken mcnuggets dipped in honey. No sour notes present at all. - Chicken fried rice (catering to a toddler) which had lots of flavor - I would guess about 1 stick of butter's worth. This dish we minded the least, since the little one needs more calories, and we did appreciate the peas/carrots/shallots cut up in the rice. Many reviews below say the Pho is good. I've only had pho at a few places, so by no means do I consider myself an expert on the stuff, but after eating here tonight, Kim Long will be my new go-to pho place in Spring. I really enjoyed the flavor of the broth compared to other places I've been in the area. I went late on a Sunday night with my dad and we were the only people dining in the restaurant. I feel like the servers could have been a little more attentive considering we were the only people there, which is why I knocked off a star, but other than that, I had a good experience. Average, almost unremarkable bowl of pho for a restaurant. I prefer my mom's but this is a good place for when you just want that bowl right now and not have to wait a few hours. However, I'm not a big fan of pho (which my family finds completely blasphemous "But you're Vietnamese!") so I usually opt for something else off the menu. I got the honey chicken on my last trip and it was so disappointing. The portion looked big but it was mostly pineapple, bell peppers, and onion with some chicken thrown in. So really, the portion was tiny, considering the dish is called honey chicken. It was also a bit tangy for my taste. We were the only table occupied in the restaurant for a good while so I expected the service to be speedier and more attentive but it sadly wasn't. We were seated right next to the cashier booth/kitchen too! There are some things they need to improve but for someone who just needs a quick Vietnamese food fix, this is a decent place to go. Vietnamese is my favorite food... there's nothing like a great bowl of pho and some fresh spring rolls. Kim Long is mediocre. Service is fast and attentive, they kept my water glass filled. The spring rolls were okay, a little bland, and the peanut sauce was watery. The pho was good but nothing to write home about; I could go to a dozen other pho places and get this same bowl of soup. I've found a place in The Woodlands with great spring rolls but this same generic pho, and I've found a place with some of the best pho I've ever had but rarely do they have spring rolls and they aren't great... my search for the perfect combination in the area (if it exists) continues! read more

It was a below freezing day in Spring. And this not so young man's fancy turned to Pho. Spring, Texas that is. Thanks to Yelp, I was able to find my Pho. It led me here, and did not steer me wrong. I tried the fried shrimp and pork egg rolls, which were solid and $5.95 for 3. I was in the hinterlands of Houston, and definitely not on Bellaire. But I digress. I also had the Pho Tai. It was very good. As usual, I tried the broth before adding anything. It was nice and clear, with a strong beef flavor and just the right amount of fat floating on the top. The eye of round was freshly added and still pink when it reached my table. And nice and tender. The restaurant is in a brand new strip center, next to a Dollar Store. The inside is cavernous and clean, with a modern edge. My only complaint? Came here after cycling 50 miles out in Chapel Hill. Restaurant was nice and clean along with the bathrooms. Staff was friendly. Got the vegetable fried rice which was really good. My friend got the seafood noodle soup which had a couple huge chunks of crab meat in it. She said she liked it. The Vietnamese coffee was good. The fortune cookies were a bit stale though. If you're used to eating authentic good Vietnamese, skip this place. It will be a huge disappointment. The rice plates were horrible. My husband ordered grilled chicken rice plate and my daughter had the grilled pork rice plate, neither meats were grilled. You can obviously tell it was pan fried. I had the pan stir fry noodle with seafood. It was flavorless and texture was not what Im used to. I must have added a 2 or3 tablespoon of Sriracha just to add flavor to my dish. Le is an absolute joy- she is just so wonderful to my hubby and I. Hiep is so friendly and a joy to be around as well! Stumbled upon this place because I was in the area, wasn't expecting much because some of the reviews were hit and miss. My husband wound up ordering a catfish dish and I had this pan fried noodle dish with shrimp and scallops. We were both blown away with the amount of flavor our dishes had. They were both equally delicious. I saw some people in their reviews saying this place isn't authentic tasting. I look at it like tex-mex food, sometimes you feel like something different. If it tastes good, who cares if it's authentic or not? We will definitely come back and try more things on the menu. read more
