Paid $60 for a set of tips that literally popped off the next day. Went back day before Christmas to fix nail with no charge. Then Christmas Day most popped off, so went back next day to ask for it to be fixed and she wanted to charge me. My manicure with tips didn't last more than 1 day!!! I went to Kim's for the first time today (at the recommendation of two friends) and had a great experience. I got a Shellac manicure and a regular pedicure. it was $50 for the two, which I thought was very reasonable. Jessica was very friendly and patient with me as I chose my colors (they have a great display of options!) Note: They had me pick my pedicure color first, and brought the ring of Shellac options over to me to pick while I got my pedicure. Both the manicure and pedicure were done with meticulous detail. They use brand new tools for each client and even had a plastic form in the soak tub for your feet that they dispose of after each use. Cleanliness is really important to me in a nail salon so this was really reassuring. They offer water, which I just found really nice. The gentleman brought me over a magazine (I hadn't realized they were right in front of me before I sat down). Overall, it was a great experience and I will be going back! read more

The vibe here is very friendly and the work they do on nails is excellent. I had a gel manicure and a regular pedicure done here over three weeks ago before a trip to Italy. The nails still look beautiful after all the travel and cooking and wear and tear. I had been going to another nail place just up the street and paying more for offhand nail services that were not durable. At Kim's it is more like a friendly neighborhood joint. They don't have mood lighting or the most up to date decor or any of that faux zen stuff. But if you want friendly service and quality work at a good price, I highly recommend Kim Nails and Spa! read more

Love Kim Nail. Been going here for many years. The technicians are friendly and do a great job. The salon is always busy and just recently I have noticed it hard to get a walk in appointment or a next day appointment. Call ahead! I do wish they would update their polish colors with more Essie and replace the most popular colors more frequently. They have a ton of gel colors and mostly Essie/OPI polish. If you pay cash you can save a few bucks! Def recommend. read more

This place might be great for nails, I wouldn't know because I didn't use their manicure or pedicure services. I went there for waxing though and I felt like warning anyone who might be thinking of giving them a try: most painful waxing I've ever had! The wax texture is not good, the service took a lot longer than it would take anywhere else and the result was far from great. Unfortunately I won't bee coming back. read more

This place is great! I am new to Beverly and needed a place to get my nails done. They took me as a walk in at 6pm despite the fact that they close at 7 an didn't complain when I ended up being there til 7:30. In face, we watched wheel of furture together. They do a great job, spend a lot of time and effort on your feet and hands and are beyond nice. It is a tiny bit pricer than I'm used to in Boston/Cambridge ($42 for a mani and pedi) but I felt it was worth it. I'll certainly be back! read more

Called on Mother's Day to make an appointment for a pedicure. The man who took the call told me to come at 2 pm. I promptly arrived at 2 pm and was seated in a pedicure chair - feet in the water - for 30 minutes! I was told sorry couple minutes 10 mins then 20 then thirty minutes into waiting ! I decided at thirty minutes that I had enough and left - I was told sorry sheepishly by the same gentlemen who took the call . I've been there before and have always waited but not this long. The experience has never been stellar but average at best. The place is run down feels rather seedy and now after this I no longer will spend my money or time there. Respect people's time don't bring them in and make them wait like cattle - poor management read more

Everyone there is so friendly, they are as talkative or as quiet as you want them to be! Sometimes you feel like chatting, sometimes not.... they are very in tune with that! I brought my Mother, who is battling end stage cancer, for a little pampering. The staff at Kim Nails was playing a vile, inappropriate movie on a large screen tv. I am by no means a prude, however not a fan of constant use the "F" word, accompanied by sexual activity, and women licking each others breasts. I found this movie choice to be beyond unprofessional. I kindly asked Kim to please put something on that was more appropriate for a spa setting, and she abruptly answered "NO.". After my initial shock wore off, I explained that mom is ill, and we are here to relax, and their choice of movie is not conducive to that. Kim was extremely rude to us, and told us we don't have to come back! In the middle of our pedicure, we left. I will never return to that salon again. I also recommend that if you have small children, leave them home, as you will not know what they are showing on tv, and as I was so rudely told, "we choose movies, not the customer.". read more

I've been going to Kim Nails since January of 2013. With so many nail salon options, I wouldn't bother unless I thought highly of the operation. I was a newbie when I first went, and a little intimidated by the "pick a color" command when I walked in; but I found that the premises are clean and well-maintained, and the stylists are all friendly, and most important of all-- certified. I've tried a lot of the nail salons in the area and was quite disappointed. However, though it was hard to understand their english, they are really friendly people. I had an emergency with my acrylics. I got my nails done at LA nails and within the week, my acrylics were already about to come off. They were ready to fall off so I came here. They were extremely nice and had a lot of tips to give. I will be revisiting soon :) read more

I got an infection in a toe from my pedicure. The manicurist cut skin along a nail. I had to go to the doctor and get an antibiotic. I would not recommend going to this salon. read more

First-time customer charged $5 to take off OPI nail polish, which resulted in them filing the crap out of my nail beds! Then the shellac chipped within three days! I kept calling to try to get in there. I got them done on Tuesday 4/2 and on Friday the first nail chipped. I called on Sunday Kim wasn't there, I called on Tuesday Kim wasn't there, I called on Thursday Kim wasn't there, I finally got an appointment and then I got really sick and didn't want to go. So when I finally get in, she says oh well it's been two weeks... okay but my nails have been chipping since the very beginning! Its not my fault you filed my nails and made them weak! They didn't just start chipping two weeks later and you are supposed to 'guarantee' shellac not to chip for up to 14 days. I will never go back again. Disappointed, wasted my money! Going back to my expensive salon who will fix any nails up to 10 days free of charge! I can go 3 weeks between gel at Orange Nails. read more
