A great experience from the moment I entered the office to the end of my appointment…read more I was greeted by extremely friendly, professional and knowledgeable staff. The waiting room is beautiful and calming with a beautiful flower wall. I was given paperwork to complete and immediately taken to a consultation room. The Dr came in within 5 minutes. I had every question answered regarding the procedure in which I was interested. I was able to schedule an appointment for my procedure within the times that were convenient for me. I am looking forward to having my procedure in the next few weeks. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Legacy Plastic Surgery and Aesthetics. I would definitely recommend Legacy to anyone Interested in a consultation from skin care to surgical procedures. CJ

I scheduled a consult for what I believed were symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome. When I called to…read moremake the appointment, the receptionist asked if I had gotten an EMG of my hand yet (a nerve conduction study that measures the extent of any possible nerve damage). I said I had not, she said the Dr. usually "prefers" that you have that first. I said I wasn't having it for a month, she scheduled the appointment for within a week of my call (so 3 weeks before my test). I arrived. The first thing I noticed were the upgraded light fixtures on the exterior of the door compared to the other buildings in the complex. The next thing I noticed was that one was completely smashed and judging by the oxidation had been so for a very long time. Not the best first impression. I entered the building and the receptionist was on the phone. She didn't look up, didn't smile, didn't give me "just a minute" gesture. She just ignored me as I stood a respectful distance from the counter. Another woman appeared and approached me. I introduced myself and stated the doctor I was there to see (Dr. Kim). The first woman finished her call, hung up the phone, turned to her co-worker and said "What does it want?" I said, "Excuse me? I'm not an it, I'm a he. And he is standing two feet in front of you and doesn't appreciate being spoken to as if he isn't there." I know - over the top perhaps, but to refer to someone standing less than a yard away in the third person and as an "it" is unacceptable to me at a Walmart, let alone in a medical setting. I finish checking in, paying my co-pay, and sit in the waiting area. I am the only person there. Eventually I'm pulled out of my reverie of counting all the burned out bulbs in the over-the-top chandeliers on the ceiling and am escorted back to see the doctor. I follow a woman into an exam room and she doesn't say - "have a seat, the Dr. will be right with you." Instead, she says "come in." I come in, she turns, closes the door from the outside and I'm left there wondering "WTF?" In comes Dr. Kim. He asks me why I'm there, asks what medications I'm on (which I'd already filled out on their online patient history portal which they make a huge deal about and which he obviously hadn't bothered to read.). He tapped my carpal tunnel on the palm of my hand and asked if that made the symptoms appear. I said no. He bent my hand forward at a 90 degree angle - I said that makes my hand go numb. He said - "OK, come back when you have your EMG results." Normally, I wouldn't say anything in that situation, but after having been called an 'it" and having been charged a co-pay for that farce of a visit - I'd had enough. "Are you kidding me?" I asked. "Your receptionist knew I had scheduled, but hadn't had my EMG when she made this appointment. You're going to charge me my $40 co-pay to tap my palm and bend my wrist one time -- only to tell me to see you when I've had the test?" He smiled and walked out. I will NOT be coming back. EVER.

So I realized (almost 6 years later!) that I never reviewed Dr. Bucky and his staff - unacceptable!…read moreI decided to sit in my car and whip out a review real quick after parking near his office and seeing his name on my map. I went to Dr. Bucky after a friend (who was a doctor for Penn at the time) suggested him when I was looking at doctors for breast implants. I had recently gotten a large settlement from a car accident that left me with permanent injuries to my back, and I had also just lost a bunch of weight. It was time to treat myself to something that I knew would boost my self-confidence and happiness. I researched Dr. Bucky myself before calling the office and saw nothing but amazing and informative reviews and very positive before and after photos. I made the plunge and called to make my appointment. There was a consultation fee ($100 or $150 maybe? This was back in 2013...) and if I chose Dr. Bucky, the fee would be applied to the procedure. Cool. Sounds good. Everything was explained in detail over the phone which I thought was really great. Cue the day of the appointment, my friend (who recently had breast augmentation surgery in Los Angeles) and I show up to Dr. Bucky's office in Washington Square. Obviously the aesthetic and vibe in Washington Square is a little different than the rest of the city, and I was a 20 year old kid (essentially) with hot pink hair and tons of tattoos and facial piercings -- slightly out of place here, but whatever. When I walked in, my age and appearance didn't make the staff treat me differently, which was (and still is...) super refreshing and reassuring. Dr. Bucky is the best, and his prices reflect that along with a very upscale clientele; I stuck out like a sore thumb in the waiting room! I get brought back (with my friend) and get changed to make it easier for him to... assess the situation, we'll say. I speak with Dr. Bucky's nurse, explain in more detail why I'm there, blah blah blah. On we go.. Dr. Bucky comes in for the consultation, and I still swear to this day, he was so, so nice, professional, and just overall amazing! I explained how self conscious I was with my small and sad B cup boobs, and losing weight just made the situation with the girls worse! Dr. Bucky totally understood and gave me an in-depth explanation on what his plan would be: a mid-level lift with implants to bring me to a DD cup. I was sold. Like if I could've handed over all the cash then and had the surgery right away, I probably would've done that. Side note: during the consult Dr. Bucky explained how they include a rigorous vitamin regiment prior to and after surgery to help my body prep for everything. Where the hell else do you get that kind of care? Because I haven't seen it before. Scoring more points even after I'm sold! Way to go! Erin (I think?) was the patient coordinator at the time. She would be the one to handle my payments, scheduling, etc. She was awesome. It was at this point in my interactions with Dr. Bucky and his staff that I told Erin about my "settlement" money, and quite honestly, I had never spent this kind of money EVER! She was super sweet and supportive with the whole process. I had a super ridiculous time with my bank declining the large transactions I was trying to make to pay for the procedure, and Erin let me mail them checks from my parents' account to pay for everything since my bank wasn't having it! Points again! I'll spare you more rambling and not go into detail about the day of the procedure, I mean it was still surgery after all... I got to Penn, they did the thing, I woke up HOURS later feeling I got drop-kicked in the chest by an elephant. Dr. Bucky, his staff, and the staff at Penn were all great. Now it was time to go home! Fair warning to anyone considering a lift/implants: you're going to feel pretttty rough for a while. I thought I was dying. However, Dr. Bucky prescribed me Valium to take post-surgery alongside the narcotic pain medication I was already prescribed by another doctor for my back at the time. He told me to trust him and that it would help more than anything. And boyyyy did it. Post surgery points! I had three follow-up visits to check on how everything was healing/to remove stitches/make sure the implants were settling okay. I felt like that was really, really awesome and like they really wanted to make sure I was okay. Six years later, I'm still so happy with my decision to have Dr. Bucky do the procedure. My boobs do not *look* fake, which I hear all the time (such a strange compliment, I know).. I recommend Dr. Bucky to EVERYONE. I keep meaning to go back to his office for Botox and other procedures. They are the BEST!

I did so and mentioned what a previous oculoplastic surgeon recommended after surgery with him. I then received a very rude email stating that my eyes were shaped "extremely different" (duh, I know that, that's why I'm seeking help), and that the surgery wouldn't be helpful. No suggestions for an in person consultation. If I look so "extremely" uneven, wouldn't you at least want to try to help me? Photos are limited for evaluation. Also, I just mentioned what one doctor suggested years ago. Obviously I don't believe that what was mentioned then is still what I need. I just finished medical school and honestly, I'm still so peeved and hurt by this unprofessional encounter I felt the need to write. Having a congenital eye disorder results in a lot of insecurities, and having a sensitive bedside manner is really important when helping potential patients. I felt awful about myself after this encounter and stopped seeking help for some time...I just hope whoever wrote that email has learned to be more sensitive towards vulnerable patients. My lips are my favorite feature now I was greeted by the kind staff and seen quickly after signing in. ( I don't know the name of all the staff but everyone was so sweet and Mishel is awesome!) Dr. Undavia asked me what results I was looking for and throughout the procedure I was shown my lips and asked for feedback to make sure everything was to my liking. My procedure was quick and I was able to wear clear lip balm afterwards without noticeable discoloration or swelling like I was afraid of. Dr. Undavia listens and is very knowledgeable so he made me feel totally uncomfortable. I'm going back for another procedure (non-surgical nose job) because I trust that I will get a natural but noticeable change for the better in my appearance. Thank you Dr. Undavia!
