One of the things we appreciated about Kevin is that he not only did the work that was quoted, but he also did some general cleaning up in the area. He took older stumps down to the ground level, removed trees that had previously fallen and were rotting in the woods, and essentially cared about the work like it was his own property. This time around he has been as responsive as the first time. He asks for half down and half upon completion, and his prices are superb compared to other quotes. He's clearly skilled - he's able to drop heavy branches away from fencing and anything that could be damaged using ropes - which is another benefit for us. Also, he proactively has his insurance company send an email showing his insurance coverage so you don't have to ask. Finally, one of the other things we appreciate is that he takes everything away - there is not a trace left of the tree he was cutting down. The project was completed from beginning to end with a high degree of conscientiousness toward quality and care for the overall property. The crew arrived early, worked in a highly productive manner throughout the day, finished each day leaving roof in a no risk protected condition from potential rain or wind and did not leave until all personnel participated in a thorough clean up of debris, including magnetic screening of lawn, gardens and driveways for nails. I have done construction projects in the past, know building codes and felt the crew met/exceeded my expectations. I made sure I sent pictures ahead of time and also confirmed twice ahead of time that they had the ability to clean the ceilings. They showed up with a small ladder a bit bigger than a step stool. The ceilings were not cleaned and still have lots of cobwebs. We paid $550 for a deep clean- the bedrooms were left with all beds unmade- windows and floors were not done. My poor mother in law trusted me to pick a good company and we were left to clean after paying a high price for cleaners. Others in the area quoted around $330!! I give two stars because they did a great job in the downstairs bathroom. That being said- that's the room they started in so I think the mojo was lost after that.
