The pool , hot tub and corn hole was amazing as well. Most Hotels we stayed at gave honeybuns for breakfast but Annabelle Gardens actually had biscuit and gravy and other stuff. The staff was so helpful and nice after stressing over trying to find a last minute hotel. This place was definitely more like home not a hotel and has earned our business from now on when we travel to Nebraska. The aroma of freshly baked cookies swept me off my feet and lured me in (even though that's where I was going anyways). They bake fresh cookies every Wednesday and I believe Thursday too between 4pm and 630pm for their patrons. The lady who checked me in was super chill. She was busy doing a million other things and checking people in and running in and out. She was very good at her job. After checking in, I went to my room. It can be a little hard to find. The number signage is pretty small but they gave me a map and I was able to find it. Each room has their own wifi. It's less hotel and more like a townhouse suite. You walk in and there's a small living room with a tv, a coffee table, and a loveseat. Across from it there's a kitchen - fridge, pantry, stove. I didn't cook here so not sure if it comes with pots and pans. As you move through the apartment, you enter the king size bed which also has a TV and a closet. In the back of my room, around the corner was the sink and then another door that led into the bathroom where the toilet and the shower is there. There is also a laundry machine and dryer. You must buy your own cleaning products however. Small bottles of lotion, shampoo, and conditioner. Bar soap and bar facial soap are provided. I was on the bottom floor. There was someone above me but I didn't hear them. There's a pool in the complex as well. They serve breakfast in the morning from 6am and 930am. Waffles, eggs, cheesy eggs, sausage patties, English muffins and gravy, some pastries and coffee tea. They have an ice cream machine, a slushy machine, and a cappuccino machine which are available 24/7. Bed was comfortable. Not cloud 9. I'd say the hardness level is about a medium. I have some back pain but I could easily sleep on it for a few days. There's a CVS, Walgreens, Best Buy and Buffalo Wings and Rings across the street.

Don't get…read moreme wrong, I'm a millennial and I'm definitely the target audience, so I loved it, but they had just a lot going on. They had a good bar with some food that I didn't get to try but looked good, and they had TV's and games and fun chairs everywhere, and we definitely spent some time sitting down there and playing Jenga and drinking and talking. All that to say, you lose all those amenities as soon as you get to the rooms. They are incredibly small and cramped, and there are no fridges in the room, which I always dislike. They have a microwave on the first floor but again, I want to have food and the space to eat it and heat it up and store it in my room, not around a bunch of people. The room was very fine, honestly very similar to rooms I've had in Europe, and since we were there for a short time and it was in the old market, we didn't spend almost any time in the room anyways. Overall for the price, with additional paying for parking, and lack of space in the room, I don't think I'd go back here if I had to stay for more than 2 nights, but for the short trip it was fine, and if you love a fun lobby, this is definitely the place for you.

With the SAC museum nearby, numerous state parks and outdoor activities, shopping at cute stores downtown, and fun places such as glacial till and Ashland brewing, this is the perfect location to stay overnight or for a weekend to be close to it all. Only two blocks from the main street of Ashland, we loved being able to walk into town and check everything out! They were super communicative from reaching out before booking to when we checked out. Any questions beforehand they answered, and gave great information for check in. At check-in, we were given a short tour of the house and shown all of the amenities the house has to offer. We also discussed breakfast options the next day, leaving us very excited for the food we heard great things about! We were given a code to the front door for our stay, allowing us to come and go as needed, with individual keys for each room. Each room had everything you could need, with some snacks and drinks provided right outside your room in the upstairs pantry! For dinner, we walked to Glacial Till less than 2 minutes away in downtown Ashland. The rooms were spacious and had great themes! We were very comfortable in the rooms, which were super cozy and had everything we needed and more. Items such as shampoo and conditioner were available in the room which was great for not having to worry about those if taking a short overnight trip. The porch was beautiful, with nice seating all around, allowing you to appreciate the quietness and get some fresh air. If you enjoy spa baths, the tubs in the rooms were large and enjoyable. Outside, there is a swim spa if you want to sit in the water or swim some laps as exercise. The area was very quiet and peaceful for a great night's sleep. The rooms also have Netflix to relax with and a noisemaker if you like that to fall asleep to. Breakfast was delicious, with fresh baked goods, great coffee, fruit, and then a hot course following the small baked goods we picked on as a starter. The stuffed French toast we had was amazing! As someone who also loves coffee, I really enjoyed the hot pot of coffee on the table. Plenty of teas, as well as fruit juice, was available if that is more your thing. Whether coming from Omaha or Lincoln for one overnight, coming for the weekend, or passing through on nearby I-80, The Roost is a great stop and very much worth the stay! We really enjoyed our time here and would definitely visit again!

I have visited Two Rivers in Summer and Spring, but my most recent visit was in early winter - and…read morethe winter season, while different from the fun of summer days - is still a cool time to visit and see the changes the season has made on the park. The water at Two Rivers stays strikingly blue no matter which season you visit, so I think it's definitely one of the cleaner parks in the regions, when it comes to water quality. There also was no litter that I saw, so whoever is maintaining the park is doing a great job. Two Rivers has great walking trails around the lake, so it's a wonderful place to go get some exercise in a cool surrounding. It's also never been busy when I visited, so if you like a more tranquil walk, it could be a good option for you. They also offer camping, fishing, swimming, and other outdoor activities (probably more for in the summer season), as well as horse trails if you happen to have a horse! For boating, they only allow non powered boats, so keep that in mind if you're wanting to fish off your boat. While this isn't a huge park compared to a few others in the Omaha/Iowa area, it does offer a lot of activities and cool scenery for being a smaller park! Definitely worth a visit, even if it's a short one.

We were supposed to pick up my sister from the airport and she check with the shuttle driver and because of the storm he offered to take us to the airport. His name was Steve we were so grateful. I booked staying at the downtown Marriott in Omaha because I was arriving at 10 pm and needed an…read moreairport shuttle. However, even though I was happy with the shuttle (and the drivers) I was disappointed in the hotel. Although the rooms are nicely furnished with clean simple lines and new vinyl woodplank flooring, the room was not clean, at all. The floor had not been swept or vacuumed. Worst of all was (ahem) residue at the bottom of the toilet, which showed the toilet had not been cleaned, much less flushed. I hate to write this in a review, but I've never come across this in a hotel before, no matter the level or price of the hotel. I would have complained but it was almost midnight by the time I got to my room and I was leaving the following morning. One other complaint was that when you call the hotel, you are put on hold until you can talk to someone. Sometimes you can wait for 20 minutes to talk to a live person! That includes when calling to ask for a shuttle at 10:30 at night. However, the night clerk, Devin, was very nice and helpful when I checked into my room. And as I mentioned, the shuttle drivers were the friendliest people I met at the hotel.
