I trained many dancers who turned pro. When I came here, I could not find good schools close to where we moved. I found this school and it was wonderful. My daughter and I took classes there and were very impressed. It was hard to continue because it was a trip from where we lived, and during the weekdays, I was a single mom of 2, due to my husband's work away from home. I opened my own school, locally, and it was successful for 15 years, until I retired from ownership and passed it onto others. I retired, temporarily, from teaching (since 1973) due to bad knees. Once I had them replaced, I called the owner, who is a colleague of mine who had judged for me at my competition, to take some classes to get back to dance. She asked me to also teach. I've been teaching there and am still so impressed with, not only the professionalism, but the moral and ethics, that match mine, that I find are lacking in some schools, I love working there and how she, and the staff, truly care for the well-being of the dancers. Michelle will not abandon her ethics, just to make a parent, or child, happy. Her standards are too high, thank goodness. I am so happy, after the few years I took off from teaching and dancing, to be at this dance school. I love the fact that their annual student demo concert does not charge fees for costumes, or concert fee. Only ticket sales. It is run beautifully, and I love working with professional teachers who think like me and have the background of excellent training, not just as dancers, but as teachers. If you are looking for an ethical school for your child, or yourself, with people who care more about you than what you can bring to them, this is the place. Thanks, Michelle Wurtz, for bringing me on board, in my later years, and giving me back my passion and the joy of teaching, again.

The fact that this group has performed at Carnegie Hall, the Lincoln Center and at the Olympics tells me that their instruction and execution is first rate. I will continue to recommend this hidden gem to all of my friends in the area. The low cost for the quality of education my kids have received is amazing. Check them out.

This theater was about 40 minutes from NE Philly, but worth the trip! We ended up getting seats up in the balcony so we had the chance to see everything, every detail of the ballet was viewed. The ballet was amazing! The dancers put on an awesome show and the production of the show was amazing as well. Everything from the music, to the concerts was well put together and I was stunned by how swiftly the dancers twirled and glided across the stage. The stage area was intimate and spacious, and surprisingly the seats were comfortable up in the balcony section.

The Roxy Ballet is housed in, what is called, The Canal Studios, way down on the end of Union St. in Lambertville. The performance space is very intimate, which we loved. There is a large parking lot around the back of the building, where the entrance is. Once inside at the theater we were warmly greeted and shown to our front row seats. The Ballet is supported by, in part donations. They also have classes for young people. F and I were so close to the dancers, we were able to see the whites of their eyes. All the performances were emotional and heartfelt. We love see such wonderful talent so close to home and on such an intimate level. Looking forward to the next show.

Thanks to an early holiday gift, I attended my first performance, the 2025 Christmas Show Deck the Halls. I didn't make any food purchases, but I could smell the inviting aroma of popcorn when we entered the theatre. We enjoyed the lively, excellent singing and performances, dazzling costumes, set designs, and a top-notch band. Deck the Halls is a fantastic way to celebrate Christmas with nostalgic songs and remember Jesus' birth. I must note that 1600 people exiting the theatre parking lot is the only honest, non-five-star worthy concern. AMT Memberships are available, and there is already a performance schedule of shows for 2026; tickets are not sold through 3rd-party resellers.

It is illegal to remove medical assistance devices and she was left with no way to even get to her walker. We brought a small foldable one and she was refused to place it at her seat. This was after we were told to make our way through a very crowded gift shop to the other side of the venue, even though our seats were in the middle. This is one of the least accommodating venues I have been to for people with mobility issues. From the parking spots to removing a medical device, it is wholly unacceptable. The theatre itself is a very nice, modern establishment and the performances I have attended are wonderful productions. The ticket prices are a bit high but better seats always are. If you have no mobility issues you will likely be thrilled with this venue.

We got a super sweet mix of yogurt coated nuts, which we didn't finish. The venue is MASSIVE, and could easily offer a place to provide some decent wraps, maybe a large Philly soft pretzel w/a honey mustard dip to share, mini-quiches, fruit salad, a cheese and/ or cheese and salami platter-- even AMtrak offers that!
