I started taking my 7 year old grandson to Kimes tutoring in September of 2020 and he got really excited because this lady Christy gave him money when he did good in class. He got two dollars on the first session, three on the second, and so on. He really liked it and he looked forward to Tuesdays and Thursdays. Ms. Christy was nice at first... but then things changed. My grandson missed a couple of sessions because he was ill... mom left a voicemail letting her know that he wouldn't be able to attend. When I took him the next week, the lady was a completely different person: she started telling me how she doesn't like to deal with unprofessional people, that she lost money because of my child and that she could have taken another student in his place. What upset me the most is that she behaved like a complete psycho in front of my grandson, I even asked if she could take him one last time, I mean we were already there, right? She said no, and in a very rude manner told me to tell mom she had to pay for the two sessions the boy missed because she didn't call to cancel (Check your voicemail!!!). I would understand if she had told me all this in private, but no, she had to make her point in front of my little boy. I wonder if she is really qualified to be a tutor. What are her credentials? I don't know, but you don't need to be a psychiatrist to know that things like that are very upsetting for young kids. A little bit of common sense would be enough to let her understand that she should have told me all that in private... there's a playground on her yard, was it too hard to send the little boy to play while she ranted furiously about his mom? Shame on you, Christy from Kimes tutoring!!! read more
