The shop is mobile and actually located in a trailer that is pulled by a truck and is also run by a generator. There is no designated seating for this place, but many people either set up on the grass behind the trailer, sit on the curb or go to their cars and eat. They offer a ton of flavor and signature combinations and shaved ice specials (shaved ice combinations with add ons). You cam also make your own combination as well. They have add-ons that you can purchase for your treat such as ice cream, sweet cream, whipped cream and chocolate syrup. And do not forget to ask for your gumball at the bottom. They offer 4 sizes from smallest to largest, pup, small, large, and flat top. The flattop is billed as the shaved ice you can travel with. It is the only one that comes in a cup and you can get a lid on it. They are all decent sized and full of your favorite syrup. Some shaved ice places that I go, I worry if the syrup would cover the entire ice, and some didn't. You do not have to worry about that here. The syrup went all the way through and I ate/slurped every last drop. The women working the trailer were very friendly, helpful and efficient. They really added to the experience. I highly recommend checking this spot out and treating yourself.

Every team member I talked with who was working the event was genuinely kind and friendly. Yes, they were busy, but not too busy to help, give directions, and answer questions. I watched as they moved between set-up and tear-down. I watched them interact with the guests and each other, and what I saw was impressive. One team member in particular was taking charge and leading the others, so I decided to say hello. This team member happened to be Rich, the owner. I thanked him for his team's kindness and genuine desire to help his guests. I asked him to tell me more about his business and why I saw a VIP/Chik-Fil-A level of friendliness and service from his team. He shared the story of how Ivory Foundry came to be. He and his wife were former wedding photographers, and they started compiling a list of things they wanted in a venue from a guest experience standpoint and a photographer's wish list for a venue. They started Ivory Foundry to provide a great venue for Indy residents to hold special events. They are family-owned, not corporate, and are one of only two indoor and outdoor wedding event spaces in Indianapolis. Rich and his wife decided to focus on providing value to their guests. They wanted to eliminate the "Nickel and Dime" billing practices of the other venues and provide exceptional value for the clients who chose to share their great moments with them.
