You should also know ahead of time that the prices quoted are if you're paying in cash. There is a service fee for paying with card. I always enjoy my time with my nail tech, she is always friendly and professional. Everything is organized and well cared for. I have no complaints about the pedicures/manicures/waxing services, as those are my regular selections.

She mumbled under her mask when talking to me, so I had to ask her to repeat herself and she'd get angry. I am extremely disappointed in my service, as I did not get what I asked for (I am a college student and don't get my nails done often) and I felt embarrassed for not understanding what she said. Also, when I used to receive dip for my fingernails, my nail tech would file the sides of my nails so hard that I left with cuts on each side of my fingers from the file. They would bleed and hurt for the next week.

It was Sunday evening and Vivian was the only place open and taking walk-in appointments. Upon arrival, we were taken right away and the staff was extremely nice. My technician started conversation, was interested in my visit to East Lansing, and did a great job on my nails! The salon had a clean bathroom and all-around clean facilities. My gel manicure turned out great and they even gave me a punch card (which I gave to my friend who lives there). After three visits they offer 10% off your fourth! Walk in and its really inviting. Salon space was kind of small but welcoming and homey feeling. There are 3 ladies that work there and they were all really nice and funny. I got a simple cut and eyebrow wax. Price was amazing and Becky did a great job. Will definitely be going back in the future and cant wait to bring my daughter in for a cut and color in the upcoming weeks!! Great little place! I live in DeWitt but will gladly drive to Holt just to have this salon be my hair place from now on!

Very unhappy with Douglas j salon. They have steadily lost their way since the founding father has…read morepassed. Since then, their managerial skills have declined considerably. Unannounced they decided to no longer purchase Aveda color. Their colorists were not advised about this nor did they have an explanation for the colorist to give to the client. What do you do when you sit down for a hair color and the colorist changes the product you love? You have no choice right then and there. I am not happy at all with the results, sure they will offer to fix it. Who wants to spend another 2 hrs at the salon. A phone call to warn me would have avoided my INTENSE dislike with how this was handled. I will find a better salon that treats their customers with respect. It is totally unprofessional to be treated like this without a call to give me an option to change my hair color treatment before I actually came in for my appointment.
