Left here completely disappointed. Was hoping for a great experience due to other reviews. We were the only ones in the shop I asked for a medium skin fade and a trim on top. This is what we were left with. I asked her to please blend it in and the line was VERY noticeable ! Her response was "his hair is difficult " and the manager Kim also tells me " it's because your sons hair is hard to work with because it's so thick" so with "trying" to fix it this is what we left the shop with not to mention she chopped a huge chunk off the top and didn't even out the rest of his hair . If you're not comfortable cutting thick hair then say something. They could tell I was extremely disappointed... they charged me the flat rate for the kids hair cut and she continues to ask if I want to add more money for tip . Twice she asked that and I clearly said no. Very upsetting . Won't be coming back . read more

This place so awful. They did not listen to my son request and did their own thing. My son came here just for a trim. He showed her a picture to make sure she understands.She said ok ... yes, but she cut his hair all the way up. My son was very upset and crying a lot on the way home. The Korean lady who cut my son's hair was very rude and displeasing. There was blood on my son's nose, I asked her if she has a tissue to wise the blood, but she said NO he is a big boy. I saw a box of tissues on the counter next to her. OMG can't believe it. They charged me $30 for a teen boy short hair cut, and also prefer cash only. They told me they would charge extra $4 over $30 if I pay credit card. The price they charged is double than other Hair Cuttery. There are a lot of Hair Cuttery very nice and polite around in Fredericksburg. Why we come here to support there ladies. read more

I have given this place multiple chances, because every once in a while they do a decent job. They are very polite, no issues there. But they don't cut your hair the way YOU want. This shop has a problem cutting hair and trimming beards the way the CUSTOMER wants it done. If you don't understand English don't say you understand. I had a full beard that was down to my chest. I told her just an inch off the beard and trim. I laid back and when she was done, the beard was gone. She did what she wanted and NOT what i told her. Never again will I go there. DO NOT COME HERE! You are cattle in the assembly line waiting to get butchered (pun intended). They did a horrible job on my two sons and me. They rush you in the chair when busy and rush you out to get that next person in. Its all about quantity and not quality here. When I expressed I was dissatisfied with al three haircuts and would like a full refund she rolled her eyes, gave me attitude and treated me like crap. As we were walkong out she said "you should find another barber." Well, there is no shortage of them in the area sweety and thats not the way you should be treating your weekly military customers. Normal Korean barbershop. No one speaks English well and no matter what haircut you ask for, you're getting a medium-high. There was a guy who used to work there who was okay, but he left. A couple of the women by the door have serious hygiene issues as well and smell pretty bad. You will not get a good haircut, but unfortunately that's the case for the majority of places around Stafford. If you want anything other than a medium-high with short hair on top, your best bet is to go to someplace in DC or Fredericksburg. read more

Tried here for the first time. Firgured it has been here awhile, they must do an okay job. Took my 8 year old son in, told her a to use a 3 and a 2, so it is little longer on the top and tighter on the sides. Went next door to grab a water, came back and my son was in tears saying it hurts, it hurts. She said you are big boy, you take Karate. She finishes up and guess what she is putting ointment on his neck with a qtip. I look at my son's neck and sure enough he has 4 knicks on his neck from her clippers. Don't tell my son "you are a big boy, you take Karate", when you are cutting his neck with clippers. How does it feel when you knick yourself shaving, it burns. Years ago my son didn't like going to the Barber because of a bad experience, he is or was finally comfortable going again without putting up a fight and then this happens. Thanks for putting the fear back in him Kim's Barber. He went to Hair Cuttery for a long time since he was afraid of the word Barber, well guess what Hair Cuttery always did a fine job, reasobably priced, kid friendly and did what I asked without hurting him. I think their specialty is with Military cuts and men a bit older than 8. She had no empathy and that is what made me even more disgruntled. read more

It seems to be mostly a military crowd in there but, if you are looking for that style haircut you can't go wrong. Plus $8.00 for military/FBI/DEA is an awesome deal. They always use hot shaving cream and a razor to clean your neck up and they'll give you a quick shoulder massage before you leave. read more

But gradually more mistakes were made or they didn't listen to my brothers requests and did their own thing. Although hair is hair and it will grow back, the sloppy work was highly displeasing. Came here on a weekday evening (7pm), at the time all the other barbers close (this place stays open till 8pm). Very spacious area, tvs, a ton of up to date magazines on everything from sports to outdoor gear. Barbers were asian females, very friendly and professional. They made sure they understood your request thoroughly before starting. I was number six in line, so I got to see the results of the 5 before me (there were only 2 working), and they all looked sharp. Most sounded like regulars. They give a discount for military/police. Unisex bathroom, lots of seating, did not feel like they were talking about you as I have felt at other shops. Would have given 5 stars, but only 2 barbers made for a 30 minute wait, and no water cooler. read more

Just found out about this Barber shop recently and was very Surprised that they were open until midnight on Sunday and this past Veterans Day. I was able to get my haircut, razor fade, and neck shave all for $8 plus I always throw in a $2 tip. I even got a nice, neck, scalp, and back massage. Just had the worst haircut of my life here. I moved to Stafford last week and needed to find a barber. I arrived and we ran through the "sample" photos on the wall because English was not the primary language of the guy getting ready to cut my hair. This haircut isn't bad because its not my style, it's bad because it has no style. The white walls are ABOVE my ears, the length on top is vastly different from one side to the other and despite showing him a picture on his wall of a guy with a lower blocked hairline in the back he raised mine an inch+ higher AND tapered it. The lady next to him cut the hair of three people while this guy was destroying my hair. I'm off to another location now to find someone to fix this botch job. kim used to be my little ones favorite barber, however, i noticed she rushes to cut his hair and never does it as requested simply to service anyone else waiting. i always always always tip her $5. today i took my 9 year old back to her, she again took her time with the 2 men in front of him and spent only 6 minutes to be exact on his hair. he gets a skin fade with a 2.5 on the top. she decided to cut his hair super short which frustrated me. i was talking to a coach from a local high school about my sons experience in football as i paid kim, i put my money back in my wallet as i was still talking to the coach and she rudely interrupted me as i was speaking to the coach to say "excuse me, you need to tip" i was appalled by her disrespect and let her know this was the first time i went without giving her a tip because i was fed up with the treatment she gives my son and i am in no way required to tip her, she slammed her register and walked away. she embarrassed herself and should be ashamed to treat a loyal customer this way. i will not return to kim and i hope that anyone with integrity will do business elsewhere. read more
