I've gotten a haircut here several times and it has always been an enjoyable experience. The staff is very friendly and really take their time in making sure your haircut is great. The haircuts are inexpensive, and they provide a nice massage at the end. The place becomes busy and it's tough to gauge what times you can get a haircut without waiting a long line. I've been going to 610 barbershop for over 8 years. They moved into a new shop just around the corner. I've used many of the barbers and my fav is Yong#2. (BTW: There are two ladies with the name Yong). Some ladies take forever, some go so fast & make mistakes, some press too hard but Yong#2 is just right. There are MANY barbers in this shop. The largest I seen in Stafford. Worth a try for sure! read more

I've been coming here for years and whenever I'm in the area this is where I always wind up coming back to for my haircut. I can't say enough good things about the wonderful women who work here. The fact that there is not much turnover amongst the barbers is a testament to what a good job they do. I will say that they care about your hair as much as you do. That is, if you want a quick simple cut they'll oblige you, however if you are particular with what you are asking for (like I usually am) they will go out of their way to accommodate you. I just moved to the area and am looking for a new barbershop. I looked through the window and saw that the woman in the middle chair can cut hair and liked what I saw. I then walked in to see the prices which are by the door. As I looked at the prices the woman in the middle chair asked me what was I doing. I told her I'm looking for a new barbershop. She asked me was I a customer or not that I could sit down or go. She then proceeded to tell me to go, shaking her hand for me to leave. I had an appointment and had planned on returning soon after. When I said I would be back, she said no you won't. I noticed that there where all white clients in the shop and that I was the only BLACK person that she was talking to like this. I plan on speaking with the owner. I feel disrespected as a human being. I will never step foot into 610 Barbershop again. read more

I visited this shop for a haircut. Upon completion, I noted to the elder lady (her chair is on far end wall as you walk in and turn left). She started asking me what do you do; are you active duty? I showed her my ID card and she still badgered me about my military status. This was a horrible experience. I have and will continue to recommend to friends to stay away. read more

Quite possibly the worst haircut I have ever received which is saying a lot since I've had many while in the military. I came here to get my edge cleaned up was asked twice if I wanted a haircut which I responded no and I left paying $12 to have one of my sideburns be an inch longer than the other. The staff is friendly and the location is very convenient which is why I have returned several times in spite of less than stellar haircuts. Generally the ladies cut my hair shorter than I like. even though I try to give clear instructions that seem to work elsewhere. I understand this and know what to expect and so have no complaints. However, my last haircut was simply bad. The lady cut my hair way to short (even by their normal standards) and cut one side shorter than the other and actually managed to cut the middle shorter than the back. I've been looking for a cool old-school type barber here in No.Va. and there isn't any. I was spoiled in CA as there are a lot of them. That being said, this place knows how to do fades and tapers, though they do not style your hair at all. All the barbers are Korean ladies, and though nice, tend to kill any manly vibe you may be looking for. There is a lot of Korean chatter about who knows what. These are nice ladies, but I really wish I could find a man's hangout type barbershop where people talk in English. Anyway, I've been satisfied, but DO NOT let the old one cut your hair if you can. She just doesn't get it exactly right, and you can't choose who cut's your hair and some how by luck of the draw I've got her twice. It's mostly jarheads getting their medium fades super short on top (used to be a jarhead so I can say that), so if you want some hair left on top they are a bit hopeless as to how to style it. They don't come your hair or anything so you can't walk out of there feeling styled and good to go. You get a good fade, with a razor trim on the neck, and a nice shoulder massage-well worth 12 + tip. These ladies do a lot of haircuts so they are experience, but the communication gap is bit frustrating at times. So far, the best I've found in the area. I really wish there were some sort of cool culture around here to create a demand for a cool barbershop. read more

Have been here a couple of times, it's an Asian-women operated shop, they do a pretty good job, but don't like the talk in a foreign language while getting a hair cut, their tone of voice sometimes suggests they are talking about the clients. They tend to cut a little shorter than I like (despite my requests not to), but they use the vacuum cutters so you don't get hair down your shirt, and they wet shave your edges. When I started dating my wife and I was living in New Jersey and she lived down here I started going here that was 15 years ago. I have been coming here twice a month for 15 years. They $12 for a hair cut but this is the only place that will shave the side of my head. They are always nice funny and on the ball. I have never gotten a bad haircut from them ever. It is a nice well lit clean shop. I just can't say enough good things about the ladies there. They are like a second family to me. read more
