The girl who answered the phone told me that they couldn't fill a carrot orange juice order because they are in a rush period and didn't have time to peel carrots. I was thoroughly confused as to why a beverage place couldn't make one of the one thing they're supposed to sell. And also, why would you need to peel carrots for juicing? I have frequented Kim's tea house at their other locations and I just disliked how Bear Creek never had one!! Well NOW WE DO!! The best thing to ever hit this place!! The strawberry mango is amazing and I love how it is super thick and blended. Taro is my favorite and the fruit tea. Lots of flavor combinations and I have tried almost everything on wide variety of their things they offer! Bahn Mi's are yummy!! Staff is super friendly and the ambiance is between fancy and hip, but I don't care about ambiance that much. Love that they finally opened one up here. Try it out and definitely get the sinker boba! My favorite teahouse of all time. They always get the drinks right and I find that it's not overly sweetened like other teahouse places. My go to here is always the jasmine milk tea or the almond cream tea. Their sinkers are always fresh and my favorites are the baby tap, taro heart, almond pudding and egg pudding. Their sinkers are unique and more of a variety too. Not to mention that you can't go wrong snacking here either. Popcorn chicken is a must but I love their squid balls and calamari the most. My daughter and I come here often, but we were coming and eating here a little to often (if ya know what I mean ), so we decided to take a break. We really enjoyed the chicken nuggets (spicy) and the smoothies (mangonada & the chocolate). After our two month long break, we visited here over the weekend, on a Saturday; we ordered the bbq pork special sandwich and it was so nasty . I should have stayed with what I knew best, because there was entirely no flavor, the bread was extra hard, there was way too mayonnaise and I can't tell if that was real pork or not. I took one bite and told my daughter she didn't have to finish hers if she didn't want to. Needless to say, we threw our sandwiches in the trash. The drive-thru is usually fast and friendly, but this time they were friendly, but not very fast. This restaurant is super cute and I love where it's located, so I will give them another chance, but I won't be ordering a Sandwich. I'll stick to what I know is tasty and I'll update my review at that time. I hope this review and my future review of this restaurant helps someone out who is coming here for their first time. Pretty good Ice-cream coffee. Asked w/o sugar, the sweetness from the ice cream at the bottom will compensate for the overall sweetness of the drink. Great helpful service. Will definitely be back to try the food. read more

This is our second time here, although the drinks are ok, save your money on the sandwich. I order a meatball and bbq pork sandwich, the meatball sandwich was disgusting. I've always been to the Kim's teahouse either in and around bellaire since we are always in the area and also the one here a couple of times. I honestly loved coming here for the sweet potato fries ( the less than five times I've been.) My man loved their sandwiches. I have an allergy and can not eat the bread. I asked for a sandwich minus the bread. She told me "no, we won't do that." Im sorry, I'm paying for it and not even asking for more meat or anything just no bread and it's a no!? After that, it was our last visit. We won't discuss how bad the calamari was or his drink. Only reason why I'm not giving a 5 star is because they tend to turn off the lights inside the shop as soon as the clock strikes 10 pm. This may be my last visit to this Kim's Teahouse. I am not sure what factors led to my drinks tasting horrible, maybe I came around 8pm? But regardless, it's not like price decrease at night or near closing, why did quality go way down? I ordered a pudding green tea with cream, add tapioca, and a mangonada for my mom before we headed to the airport. My drink was extremely light and then it just became watered down, making it taste almost water like. The pudding had no flavor and the regular tapioca was more like baby tapioca. My mom's mangonada was "sucky". There is no other way to describe it in one word, except it sucked. I asked if they used real mangos and they said, "Yes", but my mom said it had more of a pineapple taste to it. No mango taste detected. The same feeling that pineapple gives your tongue, this drink did also. I tried it and confirmed it. We threw it away with 90% full. I understand that mangonada is a popular option at tapioca joints now, but not every place can succeed. Kim's honestly failed on the concept of this drink. Down to the cup they used. The hole was covered by the nasty candy stick they stuck in the opening, making it impossible to stick a straw in. So opening the whole lid is your only option, but if the drink passes the lid, you're most likely going to spill and it'll get messy in attempt to move the candy and insert the straw. Harsh, but honestly Kim's should omit this drink since it definitely was not an option 5 + years ago and they truly fail at it. I am extremely disappointed in this Kim's teahouse since I've been going to the one on Bellaire and Hwy 6 since my high school years when they first opened. Maybe other drinks are better, but they do use powder in a few of their drinks. There's too many places that can make a simple green tea with cream good for me to waste anymore money here. One star for service. Edited since my last review recommended a better place and they took it off. And my bf got drinks and banh mi today and said they weren't good. read more

The food and drinks here are cheap and get made very quickly. The quality is mostly nice, but they put too much ice in drinks and sometimes the boba is too hard and not cooked all the way. Young polite staff. But the drive thru never disappoints and all of the drinks I have tried were good. My favorite though from here, is the green Thai tea. read more
