While we ultimately had success with this clinic, that outcome came despite the care we received, not because of it. Over the course of multiple IVF cycles, we experienced persistent miscommunication, poor coordination, unprofessional conduct, surprise billing, and a lack of basic systems that caused unnecessary stress during an already physically and emotionally taxing process. 1. Serious consent and communication failures One of the most alarming issues involved ICSI. Due to a history of poor outcomes, we were explicit, both verbally and in signed paperwork, that we did not consent to full ICSI. After significant pressure from the clinic, we agreed to limited use on a very small percentage of eggs. Even up until the time we were in the OR, staff appeared unclear on what had been decided. We later received a call stating that 100% of our eggs had undergone ICSI, directly contradicting our consent. After we raised concerns, we were told this was a "mistake" in the chart and that the nurse had misspoken. Given the gravity of the situation, this explanation did little to restore trust. Informed consent is not optional in fertility treatment, and this incident was deeply unsettling. 2. Unprofessional physician conduct Our primary physician, Dr. Angie Beltsos, repeatedly communicated with us while distracted or unavailable. On one occasion, she FaceTimed me from her car using her personal phone. Her video background briefly glitched, revealing a teenager seated in the passenger seat while my medical care was being discussed. This raised serious concerns regarding professionalism, patient privacy, and safety. When we expressed confusion or frustration, after many rounds of IVF and repeated errors, responses were often defensive rather than collaborative. At one point, when my husband asked whether she had time to speak with us because she seemed rushed, she responded curtly that she was "shopping for her family right now." These interactions felt dismissive and inappropriate given the stakes of fertility treatment. 3. Questionable protocol guidance Dr. Beltsos stated that she had extensive experience with my specific egg quality issue and strongly advocated for a protocol that ultimately failed in exactly the ways we had feared. Concerns about excessive stimulation and duration were dismissed. Ultimately, success came only after I personally drove protocol decisions, which underscored how disengaged and unsupported we felt as patients. 4. Chronic scheduling and coordination failures We repeatedly arrived for appointments only to find incorrect labs ordered, surprise tests added, or appointments misclassified altogether. On several occasions, staff could not explain why a test or procedure had been scheduled. Communication between nurses was clearly inconsistent, leading to wasted time, unnecessary visits, and confusion. Hysteroscopy scheduling was particularly chaotic, involving contradictory information about equipment availability and days-long delays to confirm appointments. 5. Medication mismanagement The handling of Lupron Depot was especially disorganized. After receiving approval from Dr. Beltsos, we were later told, by different staff members, that additional testing was required, that the medication might not be allowed due to possible ovulation, and then that it might be fine after all. We received conflicting guidance from multiple nurses and the physician herself, with potential delays to retrieval that were not feasible for us. To make matters worse, we were scheduled for the wrong appointment date. When I arrived as instructed, the error caused me to miss work and scramble to arrange last-minute class coverage. 6. Billing and financial issues The clinic failed to pre-approve anesthesia through Aetna, resulting in a billing dispute that lasted more than six months. We were charged for procedures, including assisted hatching, that were never agreed upon in advance. Billing staff later contacted us about issues that had already been resolved, clearly without reviewing our account history. 7. Privacy concerns Staff openly discussed my case in the waiting room, including confusion about procedures and scheduling. One staff member had to be shushed. Hearing my medical situation discussed publicly was humiliating and unacceptable.Administrative negligence Despite a five-month gap between cycles, the clinic failed to notify me that an updated physical exam (including a breast exam) was required. I discovered this at baseline, on the very day I was supposed to start stimulation, while I was out of state, which the clinic knew. This could have delayed treatment entirely. read more

I had a virtual consultation with Kindbody and was very disappointed. I was inquiring about freezing my eggs and was told that the virtual consultation would cost $350.00. I was willing to pay for what I was about to embark on. The woman who I consulted with did not introduce herself and did not ask my name. She rushed through her 'presentation' as if she was being timed. Her presentation was reading off of a powerpoint which I could have done myself. I will say that she was able to answer some of the questions that I had, however I felt for the amount of money that I spent (even if it was free) that this experience should have been drastically different. I asked what the cost would be if I needed to pay out of pocket with no insurance and was assured that I would be contacted by someone from their finance team with packages that they offer which never happened and it has been over a week. The doctors do seem to be nice and knowledgeable however you rarely interact with them and doctor turnover is very high (prob due to their disorganization) I had one leave mid cycle with no notice until I called in. I should have listened to the reviews. Nice place. People in the office are nice but zero follow up on my results. After about 10 days I called & left a message. No follow up the next day or that week even. Now it's been almost 3 wks post visit and nothing. Called and finally got ahold of someone. She said they sent my results to my primary care who obviously never contacted me either. When I asked why I wasn't alerted by Vios she said that wasn't her job so she doesn't know but she will alert who should have & they will be in touch. Well that was this morning & no call. I called them at 415pm & apparently they are closed. Ridiculous. If you want to work with someone who cares about your fertility concerns I advise you go somewhere else. I did not plan to share about my extremely negative experience with Kindbody but I feel compelled to after the last few months in hopes that I can save someone else from going through what we did. I sought treatment for fertility problems at Kindbody after failed attempts with IVF at another Chicago fertility clinic. At first, the staff and doctor were friendly and I thought I had found a good fit. We did not have success working with Kindbody and it turns out they did not correctly diagnose the condition that I have, which could have made all the difference with us being able to build our family. As you can expect from a fertility clinic like Kindbody, they are quick to get you into treatment rather than find the root of the problem. ($$$) The reason I'm writing this review is primarily because of what happened in March of 2024, about a year after our unsuccessful fertility attempts. After an extremely difficult failed attempt at conceiving, we decided to take a break from the fertility clinics to consider our next steps. Our bills for Kindbody were paid in full since summer of 2023. In March we randomly received a bill from an embryo storage company saying that we owed money. The shocking part is that we had no good embryos in storage. After many MANY emails and calls to Kindbody, I finally figured out that they had stored an unusable embryo from our failed attempt a year ago. Never did it cross these 'medical professionals' minds to ask us if we wanted to destroy an embryo that could never be used. It was completely obvious that Kindbody cares about one thing...money. The experience that I had dealing with many employees at Kindbody through this ridiculous situation was unbelievably upsetting. They were unapologetic, rude, and were obviously withholding information from me. I still to this day have not received an invoice that I asked for AT LEAST ten times. The disregard for my feelings around getting a bill for an embryo that I did not know existed was appalling. I spent countless hours emailing people trying to get answers and sitting on the phone when I should never have been dealing with this in the first place. A fertility clinic like Kindbody does not see their patients as people. People who are going through one of the most difficult things in the world, which is the uncertainty of infertility. I highly recommend that someone in need of fertility help visits their doctor and works with an actual hospital system. I do not wish my experience with this fertility factory on anyone. read more

Unfortunately, Jeelani declined stating she didn't have my records memorized and I should have my new doctor figure it out. That would be great if I could get anyone to release my medical records So now I've lost $2k in medical consults when I was told vios sent the records and didn't and new doctors said they could only give me so much advice without the records. This is because vios didn't care. I was never a priority. And truthfully, the reason I believe inwas "diagnosed with PCOS" was because That would force me to do IVF instead of IUI and we all know... IVF is a $25K paycheck versus a $1-2k paycheck. So this feels like a money driven clinic not an outcome driven clinic. Oh yeah...and when I asked them for their success rates I was declined and avoided. This should have been providing. What are they hiding? My 3 normal tested embryos that we spent $20K testing only one made a healthy pregnancy. The other two I was told didn't work out because I have PCOS and they were likely abnormal... And all of my abnormal tested embryos I have had clinics tell me they are fine for putting in because they aren't missing #21 and have a B possibility to create a normal pregnancy... BUT...the two clinics I found are out of state and don't take insurance for this so it would cost 7-10K just for the transfer, not including the transportation or logistics of getting there and staying there when the time comes for that. So what was the point of testing? To decrease my chances? I think so Igenomix then told me that my most hope for success was the "chaotic" embryo...because they likely made a mistake and that would be the best hope for success. And then after losing my two embryos, when I asked what was the cause of that I was told.... Only 1 in 3 healthy embryos will take. If this is true why wasn't I told that when I was 39 doing retrievals? Why did Jeelani say... "it's time to stop doing retrievals and settle for the three babies you have." I mean, this is my life. My money. My time. My resources. My body. I trusted Vios and Dr. Jeelani. Yet, everything was made up so they could continue putting me through a process knowing it wouldn't work and I'd come back. I was given different transfer protocols than what initially worked, being told when I asked why "we could do that if you want"... But I don't want to dictate how to have success with this process... I'm not a doctor, and I relied on vios and the Jeelani to guide me to success with the right cycles, meds and timing... Not tell me we can do that if you want. Not overstimulate me to the point I couldn't poop for three weeks after retrievals having multiple doctors telling me Jeelani shouldn't have overstimulated me and could have done a bowl prep. Which she never did. I have to ask, does Jeelani really care about patients? It sure seems like she doesn't. And that's why I wrote this. For all of us going through this process, we are desperate for results... Not asking for more stress problems or difficulty through this already difficult and stressful process. Jeelani and vios do not care about their patients, and these are all the reasons to evidence that. If you want success, I wouldn't recommend Vios or Jeelani who seems very new to this profession. As you can see from other reviews, I'm not just making this stuff up. Jeelani has destroyed my dreams and my body and my hope at 44 for success... Now that o revealed I don't have PCOS I have even less of a chance and I owe it all to Jeelani and her misinformation leading me down a path that benefits her pockets and not me or my family. read more

I am so disappointed in my experience with Dr. ROOHI JEELANI. Please always get a second opinion if something seems off to you, ladies. I had a consultation with her about PCOS and she ordered blood tests for my hormones. I came to the office and had to also do an ultrasound which was confusing but I trusted the process. Bedside manner: When I had my follow up to go over results, she started my zoom call telling me my insurance wont cover egg freezing. Never have I mentioned I wanted to freeze my eggs. The ultrasound that I had to do was to count my egg follicles which had NOTHING to do with why I was there. This will most likely come out of my pocket. I told her 3x I was not trying to get pregnant yet she still ordered that test. I felt like I had to pull answers out of her. I would ask a question and she would give me 1 sentence answers. I felt like I was boring her. Diagnosis: She said my Thyroid was abnormal. When I saw the levels they were in normal range. She said to get on thyroid medication which thankfully I did not get on immediately. Instead, I went to my general doctor to get a second opinion. My gut feeling was right and my thyroid levels were NORMAL. She also was baffled that I had my eggs counted as that had NOTHING to do with what I was there for. Getting on thyroid replacement medication could ruin someone's life! All because you do not LISTEN to a patient. A medication I dont even need to replace my normal thyroid! She also just told me to get on estrogen birth control for my PCOS which I could have googled myself. I told her twice I cannot take estrogen due to migraines and increase risk of stroke. I'm a patient. I should not be the one telling my doctor this. I should be the one getting this info from her. This is a transaction. She does not care that she completely misdiagnosed me and that I could potentially have terrible results from what she put me on. Being absolutely livid is an understatement. You should not call yourself a doctor. This should be illegal. This is malpractice. Glad you get a hefty paycheck from me wasting my time and money on seeing a SPECIALIST that told me nothing and resulted in a lot of anxiety due to thinking my thyroid was messed up. On the other hand, Nurse Raneesha was an angel. Keep it up, girl. I hope you get a raise. read more

This is a bit lengthy, but I hope this review is helpful. It took me a while to decide if I should write this. I worried that if I did, I would present as an annoying patient. Then again I worried that if I did not, someone would have my same experience. I'm writing because of the latter. A few weeks after our consult, I got the feeling that something was off. I rarely spoke to the same person about my care plan, my "dedicated nurse" didn't return portal messages within the time indicated, and I truly did not feel that anyone read my chart prior to calling me. I was frequently informing them of conversations I'd had with other nurses or doctors at the clinic instead of the other way around. Also, good luck calling the main line and getting anyone to answer the phone. Successful fertility takes two individuals. That said, all of the emphasis was placed on me (which my fertility issues were minimal). Absolutely no care was provided to my husband, who needed much more medical care to support our chances to become pregnant. He only had one appointment with the urgologist, which was essentially an intake appointment. No one on our "care team" urged for follow up appointments to be scheduled or for further care to be provided to him. Obviously we had not been through this process before and assumed that Vios had our best interest at heart and would push this if it was necessary. These feelings of neglect continued into stims. Lack of communication, lack of care and consultation, and feeling like just another patient at this clinic led to the loss of one of my ovaries. As though I haven't hammered home the "lack of communication" piece enough, nurses and doctors at Vios continued to reach out to me weeks after I received a refund from the clinic to set up an appointment to talk about my next steps (as we decided to stop care there). It even went so far as an appointment being put on the calendar without my knowledge or approval. And the cherry on top of this entire cluster, was a text from my doctor asking to talk, to which I indicated I had moved on to another clinic, and resulted in zero response whatsoever. The one positive thing I'll say is that there were some tremendous nurses and ultrasound techs who really supported me as much as their role could. I had a truly traumatic experience at Vios, and I never could have imagined being treated so poorly. I do not recommend this clinic to anyone. read more

I really wish I read all the reviews before choosing Vios. My OBGYN gave me a referral so I figure it was a decent place, but I'm seeing lots of the red flags others have written about. I am having all of the exact same problems as everyone else. Very disorganized and not very friendly, except for Dr. Jalani. It's hard to get real answers about costs of things. They make everything seem free at the beginning but then the truth comes out later. I've decided to stay with them, because I dread the hassle of getting another referral and all my records transferred. This is the kind of place that you definitely don't want things to be disorganized. They say not to be stressed when trying to conceive, but this place has stressed me out more than anything. I just hope not to get taken advantage, or given poor treatment in hopes to get another cycle out of me. I feel like this place is making improvements the more I am there. After having a bad experience with the Chicago Women's Health Group a friend recommended I have a consult at VIOS fertility and I was BLOWN away at the difference in how I was treated KINDLY and with COMPASSION ... as you would expect to be treated as a fellow human.  I actually LOOK FORWARD to my appointments at VIOS as everyone is friendly and kind and is there to serve you in your health needs.  I will continue with VIOS until pregnant, then I will find a different women's group who have the same respect and consideration for their patients as VIOS does. I was especially blown away by the kindness of the phlebotomist and Dr. Robins at the Wicker Park location as well as the staff at their clinic in the suburbs who made a nerve-racking procedure for me easy peasy and like I had my supporting girlfriends right there with me (but it was their staff!). read more

After having scheduled an appointment for a posted service and then being asked to pay up front for the service, the staff then informed me that they couldn't perform the service even though they had been offering it up to a month ago. The way this was handled, especially from the supervisor perspective was poor and disorganized. Dr. Beltsos and the entire staff at VIOS are amazing. I had IVF here and became pregnant with my son with my first cycle. He is healthy and beautiful! I will forever be in debt to them for caring for me and giving me the greatest gift. A lot of the communication is with the nursing staff, but they are very responsive and knowledgeable. I would recommend this practice to anyone seeking to grow your family. Fertility treatments are difficult to go through, but the VIOS staff is very kind and the environment is hopeful, yet honest. This is the only fertility practice I have any experience with, but given how particular and organized they are, I would highly recommend them to anyone who is seeking a second opinion. I went here for fertility treatment and I do not recommend them. They are more concerned about making sure you pay your bill than helping you through a difficult process. My nurse would not return my calls. There were several missteps including scheduling me to start on IVF medications but not giving me all the information I needed to proceed to then have to delay treatment. They do not have a full understanding of a patient's needs nor do they fully help patients through the challenging process of fertility. read more

My husband I and were considering 4-5 different fertility clinics to start our family and decided to meet with Dr. Beltsos and her staff based on a recommendation from our surrogacy agency. Vios was the worst choice-especially for same sex intended parents. And we got charged a surprise $300 for a consultation. Given the high cost of gestational surrogacy for same-sex intended parents, most IVF clinics went above and beyond to welcome us, help us understand the process, and thoroughly explain the investment we're undertaking. This clinic, however, was a mess. We received poor, confusing, and impersonal communication from the very beginning and waited nearly six weeks for an actual consultation with the clinic staff. Timing is crucial when trying to coordinate a third-party pregnancy, and it seemed this agency didn't understand that. And then the consultation really went wrong. At every other clinic we met with, the clinic coordinator warmly welcomed us right away and provided us with detailed packets about their services and financial packages, then the Dr. would meet us and answer questions about success rates, etc. Other clinics followed up with helpful suggestions and next steps. This was not the case at Vios. After sitting in a waiting room for 15 minutes and being called up one at a time to provide our insurance information, the desk staff informed us we'd be paying $300 for the consultation. We were surprised because previous clinics had offered their consultations free-and at no point before this had we expected to pay to learn more about a potential choice of clinic where we'd be spending tens of thousands of dollars. Don't get me wrong, I totally understand if Dr. Beltsos feels it necessary to charge for this service; however, we were never told beforehand. We let the desk staff know that we were not interested in paying for a consultation and that we would cancel our appointment and move on to other clinic choices. We weren't going to pay $300 when we already had a front runner. Quickly a second staff member rushed us to a private room, apologizing for the confusion and letting us know that it would be 'figured out'. We met with Dr. Beltsos for about a half hour. She was actually very nice and charismatic. Dr. Beltsos answered many of our questions about the process sufficiently, but couldn't answer any of our questions about success rates and past experience with same-sex intended parents. She provided vague answers where we'd received confident answers from other clinics. It didn't seem like she had much experience since founding Vios with same-sex intended parents. Friendly, but unimpressive. After the consultation (which felt the most like a sales pitch of any of the clinics we met with, not a good thing), another staff member appeared with what I thought were gift bags but were instead semen analysis sample cups. Why? we don't know. We thought they might have mixed up and the bags were for someone else. That's a scary thought. The staff member said we should take them with us and bring them back. We weren't coming back. I'm still confused. And yes, a couple weeks later we received the bill for $300 for listening to Dr. Beltsos' sales pitch. It was not 'figured out'-and even after multiple calls explaining the situation to the billing department again, Dr. Beltsos' staff said they were going to charge us for the time we spent with her. So we paid it-mostly to not have to deal with Vios ever again. Overall, this place is disorganized and unprofessional. Those are exactly the traits you want least when you're trying to go through a complicated journey to conceive-and most of our friends who work in Chicago medical fields weren't surprised by our experience given Dr. Beltsos' reputation. We've let our surrogacy agency know to avoid recommending this clinic to their clients. read more

I do not recommend. They tried to charge me twice for the same appointment and it took months to figure out and get my money back. But the mistake seemed a little shady.. they charged my insurance and my partner's insurance for the same appointment. Then when we tried to fix it, they "didn't have the paperwork" to show that it was a mistake, and I had to dig through my own files to prove that we were not supposed to be charged twice for the same video visit we were both on. Also they mismanaged medical aspects of my case which delayed our pregnancy timeline. IVF is stressful enough, but I could not deal how disorganized the office was. Coming back to revise this. I still love Dr Jeelani - she is fantastic. But this clinic is a mess. My insurance company reached out to me bc they revised some of my claims which they indicated should've resulted in an overpayment to my provider (Vios). This was like two months ago and I have yet to get information from billing to help me resolve this or understand what happened to my account. They send me information on individual claims with pmt amounts applied that don't agree to the actual payments I made - and nothing that shows comprehensive detail of each payment I made and what it applied to. I can clearly see that the amt I paid Vios exceeds my EOBs by $500 but I can't seem to get anyone to engage with me on why that is. It's so frustrating. read more

I did not have a great experience at this clinic, and have chosen to move to another clinic as a result. The last straw for us was when we had a meeting with the Dr. to go over our results, she was an HOUR late. A nurse popped in twice, but it was not until we were trying to leave the clinic that she saw us. I want to be clear. I totally understand things happen and that doctors get tied up in other sessions but someone should have simply told us or allowed us to reschedule. It was so frustrating because I then had a 10 minute conversation before I went to work and received unfavorable news regarding my personal fertility. Dr. Jeelani told me I could e-mail her with any questions I had, and I did e-mail her with our plans to move forward with IVF, and never received a response from her. This place is a scam. We were told because my wife wasent a patient here, they refuse to submit a claim on our behalf and we would have to do it. Whe. We refused they said then we can't come, or we can find another facility and the lady made a comment on how they were the only one in a decent radius to our home that was in network. So take it or leave it. Because he was only getting a sperm analysis. Was almost impossible to get the health insurance claim form. Finally got it and found out they over charged us the contracted rate. They charged us 175. But their contract with our insurance shouldn't have been more the. 20 something dollars. They have no billing department. Never answers the phone. We have been there 2x in the last month to get our refund. Come to find out after speaking to our insurance that's illegal for them to make us file our own claims when they are in network and over charge us. The worst. The staff is completely unorganized. In my opinion the positive reviews on Yelp are not real. I have experienced everything that each and every negative review has stated. My wife sees jeelani and i see pagani. My wife started hormones last week and the sperm extraction is supposed to be coordinated with the egg extraction. Pagani is out of the office for the next 36 days so it's impossible. I ran my blood work every month and asked direct questions which got indirect answers. We already gave them over 20k and all I've gotten from pagani is bad medical advice. I will say that jeelani has been helpful to my wife but the lack of coordination in the office is inexcusable. Don't waste your money with them, but even more important is don't waste your time. I've hit the #2 after listening to the prerecorded message more times than I can remember. I'm a busy healthcare provider too and the process can really take over your life! But the reality is that you'll wait 90 minutes for every simple "monitoring appointment" at Wicker Park location - their regular scheduling process is to book 4 transvaginal ultrasounds every 15 mins for 1 tech to perform. If you've worked in the medical field or have had this done it's very easy to see why this won't ever be convenient, easy, or fast. I actually live near the HoffmAn Estates location and work in the city. With a weeks notice to schedule monitoring appts, there were ZERO openings all five days of the week before NOON at my primary location. Disclaim - I am not an IVF patient at Vios, but patient with a clinic out of state. Since I live in Chicago, I go to Vios for IVF baseline and in cycle monitoring blood test and ultrasound, so my experience is related to the IVF monitoring services I received at Vios. Overall I am happy with the service I received so far. I called multiple fertility centers in Chicago, they either do not offer ivf monitoring services unless you are doing IVF with them, or they have very strict hours for monitoring services for IVF patients who are not actually doing IVF with them. Finally I found Vios, they not only offer IVF monitoring services to patients who are doing IVF with other clinic, but their hours are much more flexible. It was very easy for me to get an appointment at my desired time. Staff there are friendly and on top of things, I don't feel treated different because I am only doing monitoring. They are also very quick. I went in for my blood test and ultrasound around 8:30AM the results have already been sent to my clinic in east coast before 1PM. read more

This was the worst experience. The best parts about it are the nice ultrasound techs and the people who do your bloodwork. Other than that, the billing department is completely disorganized and there are several mistakes on my bill. The biller was constantly talking to me about reaching my out of pocket maximum. While I was undergoing treatment with them, I of course, also had other appointments with an ENT (unrelated) and those bills also contributed to my out of pocket. Kindbody just wanted to take all of my out of pocket expenses for my insurance and kept bringing it up with every email. If the only thing you care about is an office with a "cool" instagram, check out Kindbody! You will never talk to the same nurse and you will barely get an appointment with your Dr. From December to February, I only saw my doctor TWICE. I had an initial appointment with her, but instead talked to a nurse because the Dr. couldn't make it. Quite frankly, there was a man who came in for my egg retrieval and given some other reviews, I don't even know if my doctor was the one who actually performed my retrieval or if this man that was following my doctor did it. Also, they gave me a bag of treats after my egg retrieval and in that bag I found a paper that I had signed - I have ZERO RECOLLECTION of signing anything as I was just out of the procedure and pretty sleepy. I have no memories and quickly told them that they really shouldn't have people sign paperwork five minutes after coming out of anesthesia. They take a "down payment" for your services with them and call it "unapplied money" - which I have never experienced in my life. I'm sad that I went here and sad that after spending a lot of money I have nothing to show for it except a lighter bank account. My trust is completely eroded. read more

My wife and I met Dr. Beltsos at a gathering and immediately felt her warmth and genuine concern for us as we've been struggling with care at our previous doctor. One of her staff members immediately came forward and proactively took our information down so that we could set up our first appointment. Already, this seemed like a breath of fresh air as we felt our previous fertility center was really after money and did not care to investigate why we were having trouble. So we meet Dr. Beltsos, she was even more amazing as our first interaction. We felt great about possibly moving forward with her office so we sent an email asking some questions. Given the fact that my wife was about to go through a procedure at our previous office, Dr. Beltsos knew that we wouldn't be transitioning right at that moment. So months go by and we never heard anything so we decided to stick with the team we had been working with at the previous office. We finally received a response to our email and they claimed that the email had just come through. Ok, so we gave them the benefit of the doubt and decided to have a second consult with Dr. Beltsos. That meeting was great, she had some great insights and wanted to get some testing going to help us be successful with trying to conceive. We started to get some paperwork going to help us transfer records and move our embryos and samples over to Vios. Well, the previous office made it a little difficult as they weren't the greatest in communicating, only if it was for making a payment. Long story short ( I could go on and on), the staff at Vios, although they are very nice, lacks the ability to communicate or even follow up with their patients. This goes all the way from front desk staff, to billing, and nurses. We've had issues with them not calling in important medications and not only did we have issues contacting the office, our pharmacy did too. We had transferred all of our information over to Dr. Belstos' office and got a really great game plan ready to go under her treatment, but the lack of communication from her staff drew this whole "trying to conceive" journey a huge pain filled with even more heartache. I'm so disappointed because I really wanted it to work out with her. Ultimately, we found THE best doctor at Northwestern Fertility Center and even though we aren't parents yet, my wife and I know that we are in the best of care and are receiving the best of the best care from our new Doctor and their staff. read more

I seriously don't know where to start. Dealing with infertility is emotionally damaging on its own, so at the very least you would hope to work with a clinic that values you not only as a customer, but as a patient too. I signed up for the initial $99 test to check baseline levels of fertility - blood work and ultrasound. Getting the appointment was not difficult at all. Obviously nerves are high, especially if you think there may be a problem, so when they told me they wouldn't have my results for 2 - 3 weeks, I thought, "move on, put it in the back of your mind, and don't worry until you have something to worry about". Well, the clinic called me at 6:45 that evening, and proceeded to leave a voicemail on my cell phone with my results. WHICH WERE NOT GOOD "Hi, This is so and so from Vios Fertility calling with your results from today's tests. We really want to see you FSH levels below a 10, yours are 18. We want to see your AMH at at least a 1, yours is 0.4. Call us back if you have any questions (cheerful voice), thanks!" 6 minutes pass...I call back and immediately get the standard office is closed message. It took 3 more days to get someone to call me back. When I finally got a nurse on the phone, she told me I should come in for an introductory appointment with Dr. Beltsos to get an understanding of what the testing means, my options, next steps, etc. I met with Dr Beltsos a few days later. She was kind, but clearly preoccupied. She began reading levels that were different than what I was told in that frightening voicemail. Why you ask? BECAUSE SHE WAS READING ME A DIFFERNT PATIENT'S CHARTS!!! Yeah, you read that right.... To make matters worse, I was told I was going to get an email with information about prenatal vitamins to take (a good Dr would have just prescribed them), details on the IVF process, and insurance information to determine what was and wasn't covered. I got none of that. I called...still nothing. I called again...crickets. What I DID get, was an email with how to set up my billing account. Clearly there are priorities with this clinic, and the patient is not one of them. At that point, I decided this was NOT the place for me, even though it's in walking distance of my condo. I called my Gyno for a referral and moved on. Getting my records released to the new clinic wasn't difficult, but I did have to call 2X... Fast forward about a month, I get a bill for over $200 from Vios for my appointment with Dr Beltsos. I called the billing department (separate from the clinic) to ask what this was. After 3 days, I got a returned call, to which the woman I spoke to told me they had an error in their billing department and that was a mistake....how many women would have paid that? Knowing what I know of this company, and seeing profit is clearly the top priority, I highly doubt they would have said anything.... Avoid this place if you value your stress levels and emotional state while trying for a baby... read more

I had a great experience at Vios! These 5 stars are going to the Nurse Practitioner Nicole. Doctors and nurses forget that we have absolutely NO idea what medicines were taking, when to taken them, how to give shots, etc. and Nicole literally took my hand and walked me through each and every step. She made me feel like I was not alone and wrote down a step by step schedule of exactly when when I should take my medicine, my shots, how to take them, even when I should have intercourse so that I was able to conceive. When I would call the office with a question (no matter how stupid) her or another nurse would normally call back within 20-30 minutes. I've heard at other fertility clinics you're just another number, but at vios you were the number one priority as a patient and even friend. I never thought I'd miss some of the nurses and ultrasound techs as I was leaving! Not to mention they did get me pregnant within one cycle of figuring out what was wrong with me at vios. Not many other clinics could've done that. Nicole + a couple other nurses and techs there really made me so much less scared in what was an otherwise terrifying process. Having her hold my hand the entire way and answer all questions no matter how dumb, and not rush me off the phone like other doctors do, truly made this experience one that I can smile back on! Although I'm concealing my real fertility identity I hope you all take the time to check out vios and get to work with nurse practitioner Nicole- you will love her as much as I did! read more

My husband and I felt cared for from start to finish. Not only is Dr. Beltsos brilliant, she is kind and patient and truly understands the emotional side of fertility as well. My husband and I received the best care and attention possible and it was done with warmth and compassion. Dr Beltsos and her team were available to us anytime we needed them and in many cases called us on evenings or weekends to check in and/or answer questions. It needs to also be mentioned that the nurses and ultrasound techs are outstanding. We were lucky to work very closely with Emily, Kelly and Roberta and I truly don't know what we would have done without them. They answered calls and questions at all hours of the day and night, and even face timed us when we were ready to administer our first round of shots. They were also there to give hugs and support when we needed it which was SO appreciated. I am now 25 weeks pregnant and have Dr Beltsos and her amazing team to thank for this. Infertility is terrible and I'm sorry anyone has to go through this. Thank goodness there is a place like Vios to make the process more bearable. My husband and I have been struggling with infertility over the past several years. We were with Dr. Beltsos at her former clinic and followed her team to Vios. The other clinic was very busy and not overly personal, I often felt like we were being herded like cattle. Vios is smaller and much more inviting, my husband and I feel very connected to the Vios team. At Vios we are a name not a number. Infertility is a struggle but working with people that genuinely care about my "fingers crossed" growing family makes it more bearable. Appointments are quick and the staff is wonderful. After several failed attempts at IVF at the other clinic my husband and I received the best news in the world from our favorite nurse who has been by our side throughout this journey.
