I was blown away by numerous factors; selection, friendliness of the owners, portion size to price, and the quality of food. This is on par with good Korean food that you would find in larger metropolitan areas. Since the prices are reasonable, and I couldn't decide what to get, I tried 4 :) WAM! Banh Mi Sandwich - Don't shy away from the WAM!, though they have a BAM!, the WAM! has an enhanced flavor because of the wasabi. Oh for the sweet spicy love of sandwiches! I have found a new favorite! It's called the WAM BAM! Have you tried it? It's their bahn mi stuffed with wasabi, jalapeno, and sriracha. SO delicious. And they can't keep them in stock- they are selling out of them an hour or two after opening. You think it's going to burn your face off but really it just clears out your sinuses and gives your lips a zing. Everyone should try this- even if you are a spice wimp. Trust me, you'll like it. P.S. They aren't in John Dam plaza anymore. They are on 9th in North Richland behind the Port of Benton Admin building up by PNNL. And they are only open lunch hours right now. Read about this place on yelp and decided to check it out. Please note their hours, only 11am-2pm. The truck is parked in a lot in the middle of businesses. We ordered drunken noodles, chicken spring rolls and orange chicken. All were tasty but portions were small, like lunch portions. Some people say it is the best Thai food around, but it is not really Thai, it is all sorts of Asian dishes adapted to the TC palete and made in a food truck. Or actually pre-made then heated and finished in the truck. They do run out of food sometimes, which is mainly because there are so few choices in the area and because people hype it up. It is not a place to brag about to someone from a larger metropolitain area. The Wam Bam is a nice and flavorful ( thank you sirachi and jalepenos), which a regular Banh mi has anyway. Small though and the bun is like a hotdog bun verse a hard roll bagguete that is the sandwiches signature. Banh mi ingredients are limited and plain, very little if any pickled carrot or daikon , skimpy on the cilantro and no mint leaves that I have seen. More a sandwich that was de-evolved to suit a price point and dumbed down for the TC patrons. The curry dishes are weak and watered down, very poor excuse for a curry dishes. The chicken dishes are decent and what you would expect, so always a safe bet. The Chicken spring rolls are plain and the chicken is from a frozen breast in my opinion. Making a sping roll is not hard and I do not understand why people think they are special here. I guess it is because they are limited in understanding what a good spring roll is like. They are very small also. The sauces are from bottled and cheap sources. The Bulgogi fries are ehh, so what. I guess people like it because it is a mess and something to talk about. The food is very good, reasonably priced (by food truck standards), the service is quick (less than 10 mins), and the staff is very nice. I moved to tri-cities from the San Francisco bay area and was worried about the types and quality of Asian food that I would be able to get (as I love Bahn Mi's). Low and behold, near where I work is one of the best food trucks in town! I am a strong supporter of the food truck movement in the fact that it allows the business to start up with less capital outlay and a lower risk. For those of you who think food truck are the same old 'roach coaches' as the old coffee trucks from 20 years ago, get out there and try some of the food and your view will change! Kindra's Wok and Roll: Pros: * Excellent food at reasonable prices - 'nuff said * Consistent quality day in/day out. I've never had a bad meal from Kindra's in well over a year. All the ingredients are fresh (veggies, meat, rolls, etc.) and flavorful. I'm pretty picky too, always keeping an eye out for wilted lettuce, stale rolls, grisly meat...none of that here! * Healthy/tasty options available which is a nice change from most of the other restaurants in the area. * Friendly staff: Even when they are busy (which they frequently are), they are polite and attentive, I've never heard anything even close to a rude remark from any of the staff. They even remember my name and I only come by a few times a month. * Bahn Mi !!! Cons: * None that I can think of, they are consistently in the same spot, so I've only had once that they weren't around (but they had posted on Facebook that they were on vacation, so my bad). * Maybe hard to get to for some, but for me, easy access from work. read more

This food truck is a gem, and I'm lucky that their lunchtime location is within a few blocks of my office. We don't have many lunch options nearby, and most of those have mediocre food at high prices. Kindra's has delicious, fresh food at extremely reasonable prices. I could eat any of their soups every day of the week. They have several different varieties of pho, and sometimes they have a different soup as their weekly special. My favorite so far is kow piek, which has amazing hand-cut noodles and and chicken. It is served with a tiny container of very hot chili oil, so you can create the level of heat that you like. I can't believe the amazing variety of offerings they have. Their bahn mi sandwiches are also great. You should try their spring rolls, too. They're one of my favorite summertime lunches. Kai and her family are lovely, friendly people. Customers are greeted with a smile (by name if you've been there once before, I swear). You may text your order (a good idea anyway, since they often sell out early) and pick it up a few minutes later. They are on Facebook, and they announce their weekly special, along with a picture. This is one of the best food trucks around. I eat here about once a week. Beef pho is the go to but also love the bulgoi beef with kimchee. Owners are great and friendly. It's worth the drive or if you're lucky enough to work close by stop in. read more
