I received a massage yesterday from Amy. I explained to the massage therapist that I only wanted my upper body massaged. The massage massage therapist stated that I was tight which I already knew, she started massaging my arms which had a few trigger points known as knots. This got a hot stone which was cold and tried to dig the trigger points out of my arm. I told her to stop once I nerve asked her to use a stone and I never asked her to get them out! I just wanted a nice relaxing massage. I got up this morning with bruises all over my arm. I called the spa and the Manager had a dismissive attitude after I sent her the pictures. I will never go back I do not recommend this place I also don't think the massage therapists are licensed. read more

The massage was cool however I dislike how once you pay they are pushy with making you tip the masseuse. This was my third visit to this establishment, and I received a 45-minute massage as well as a 45-minute facial. I must say that the service was worth it. The massage therapist was skilled and attentive, and the facial, although slightly painful ( first-timer), left my skin feeling refreshed. However, while the facial itself was good, the clean-up process left a bit to be desired. I still had small patches of mask residue on my face that I had to scratch off, which I felt shouldn't have been there after completing the facial. This shop is on the smaller side, but they are never too busy, so you don't have to wait excessively long for services, and it has a calming atmosphere. Furthermore, this establishment has a bad habit of pressuring people to tip before they even get the chance to do so willingly. I have had that experience with them multiple times, and it makes you discouraged to tip, even when you were about to tip them in the first place. I forgot to mention that I was quoted one price for the service, but after it was completed, I was told that the price was only applicable if I paid in cash, which we didn't have. So, they made us pay through Cash App, stating that "it's the same as cash," in order to get the price we were told. Lastly, please be mindful of the scrubs they offer during the massage services. Since it was our first time getting a massage, the owner (I'm sorry I hadn't caught her name) took us to the back for the couples room and led us through the process. The dimly lit room, and the soft music put us in the mood for relaxation even before massage started. We had the hour long massage with the hot stones. We were a little leery about the hot stone (they're free to add to any massage!) but honestly I don't think we could do without at our next session. It amped the already amazing massage up to the next level. During the session we were asked if we liked the pressure (at this point I was so relaxed and half asleep, so regardless of pressure I was golden) and really did the works on my neck and back. While my massage therapist did a lot of detail work in the small spaces between my muscles in my arm/upper back/shoulder area, he did not even touch my lower back, glutes or feet. I'm a dancer with some current medical problems which are causing my lower back & glutes to be my biggest problem and the reason why I booked my massage. He also didn't ask me about pressure. I wanted a deep tissue massage. He left the room a few times to deal with people at the front desk and talk to other employees which felt odd. I also hate having to wear a mask - not relaxing to me at all as someone with breathing issues. My MT was nice and the place was fine and if I had neck/upper back and shoulder issues only, and liked Swedish massages, it would've been great. My wife bought me a groupon to get a 60 minute massage here and I was beyond excited to come and relax! When I called for an appointment the same day (a Monday), the owner Christine accommodated me immediately. I made an appointment for 5pm that night. She was super friendly over the phone and sounded excited about me coming in. I loved that! Around 4 when I was headed over, she called me and said the client before me was running late and would I be able to come in at 5:30 instead? She made it clear she could still accommodate me if I could only come at 5 though. I said 5:30 was fine! When I arrived, I was the only one in the beautiful lobby. Christine greeted me warmly and started chatting with me like we were old friends. She took my groupon and asked me if I was pregnant (for the type of massage that would need to be done)--I'm not. She quickly led me back and introduced me to the woman who would be doing my massage. She led me to My own little private massage room with a curtain door. She explained where I could put my things and asked if hot stones were okay and if I wanted a complimentary exfoliation. I was told to strip to my underwear and lay face down under the covers. She told me to let them know if it was too warm or cold. There was plenty of time to get undressed and put my things away before the masseuse came in. The woman really took her time and work over every muscle. First she massaged over the blankets, then peeled them back as she needed. She stretched me out at the end as well. Came here last week after a few stressful weeks. Upon arrival I notice it's small but very clean and neat. I sat and talked to I'm assuming the owner and had a pleasant conversation before going into my massage. I think my masseuses name was Joanne? I feel so bad I forgot but she was awesome. She knew right away my neck was super stiff and got to workin. A lot of massages are way too gentle but I was so surprised that not only did she have a nice strong pressure the pressure lasted the whole hour. I really love the hot towels and the hot stone massage. It was a great surprise. I've been looking for a decently priced massage that was not part of chain and found just that. King and Queen exceeded my expectations of a "mom and pop" shop. I found them on Groupon and wasn't sure what to expect since I've never heard of them. They're located in a small strip mall in Willow Grove, so you may miss them if you're not paying attention driving down a busy York Road. When I arrived, the waiting area smelled like lavender, so it instantly put me in a relaxing mood. I was greeted by the receptionist and she said my appointment would start in a couple minutes. After about 10 minutes, I was brought back to a single person room. It was dimly lit, but on the way to the room, I did see that they had a couple of single person rooms as well as one for couples. The massage started and I asked for medium pressure. The pressure at first was a little too hard, but after mentioning it to the masseuse, she lightened up and it was perfect! This time I got a 60 minute full body massage, but in the past, I've gotten the 50 minute massage plus 10 minute back exfoliation and it was lovely. I recommend that over the full 60 minute massage. This was our anniversary weekend and we booked a 2pm couples massage a week ago for today. They took down all of my information and we were officially scheduled. However, today when we arrived at 1:55 for our 2pm appointment, we were told that they already had someone scheduled for our appointment and that they were very busy which resulted in them double booking us. It's was really embarrassing to have to be turned away due to their error and incredibly inconvenient as this was part of our anniversary day. Although the massage I received was good the tall Chinese lady in the front desk was really rude to my kids. She treated them like dirt. Mind you, they are very well behaved kids and very polite girls. When I was going to go to the massage room, she said I'm not going to babysit them. I didn't ask her to. All I asked was if it is safe for them to wait outside the massage room. I was appalled by her attitude towards my kids. After a while I was really upset and said I do not want the massage if she is this rude. I came in there was one Asian woman that didn't greet me, asked what I wanted and then understood I have an appointment after juggling thru papers. The massage was so light I could barely feel anything because it was only lotion rubs for the full hour. After that she tries to charge me some $65 and asks for 30% gratuity.
