I've been going to icure for a while and it's usually pretty solid. I normally get the owner to do my massage. This past time, I got a different therapist and she was not good. the whole experience was painful! I must have told her 6 times that the pressure was too much and she continued at the same pace. at one point I yelped in pain! I had to pull my leg away from her because she was hurting me so badly. There was nothing relaxing about the massage at all! Not to mention this was the second time I went where I booked a 60 mi Ute and they forced me into a 90 minute. 90 minutes of sheer pain! As a last minute idea for my 2 year anniversary I decided to find a local place to get a couples massage. My normal go to "Massage Envy" was all booked up. So a quick Yelp search led me here. With just a small grouping of reviews, one saying it's not "romantic", I was skeptical to try on such an occasion. But my boyfriend and I are always up for an adventure. It's what we do best. I called and was able to get an appointment for us both and off we went. All I can say... Amazing! Sally is a master of her craft and I was glad to be the one to get her. She really worked my lower back which was incredible. Add the hot stones she used and I was in massage heaven. Not only did she spend a lot of time on my knots and my aching lower back, she worked all of the tension out of my legs and feet. Initially drove to their other location Ichiban Massage in Lansdale but found out upon arrival that they had closed that location. So I drove 15 minutes to Spring House location. I just wanted to try them out for 60 minutes but was talked into 90 minutes. 60minutes for $60 so I assumed 90minutes for $90 but was told at the end cost was $100. For the $90 massage I was willing to give a $20 tip but when I found out it was $100 Anna still expected a $20 tip. A tip should be given upon satisfaction of the job performed...one should not assume that a $20 tip is expected as what Anna specified to me tonight. read more

I had lingering soreness in my back from being rear-ended in a car accident. Lying down or sitting for long periods of time was uncomfortable. I came to iCure for a hot stone massage to see if it would help relieve some of the tension and soreness. The treatment I received from Sally was amazing! At the beginning of the session she asked about particular areas I wanted to focus on and I mentioned my lower back area. While the hot stone is a full body massage, she definitely spent a good amount of time on my lower back working on the tissue in that area. It was one of the best massages I've ever had. In addition, I sit in front of computers all day with not so great posture so my shoulders are extremely tense. She worked out years of tension from my shoulders, and she used a decent amount of pressure to really work out the knots. I'm hooked now. I will be going back regularly for treatments. I was hoping to find a place I could go back to for facials and massages. Unfortunately this isn't it. I scheduled a facial and massage. The facial is little more than a mask which was left to dry during the massage and then peeled off. There was no other treatment to my skin. The massage was odd; the masseuse kept leaving the room and I would lie there for a few minutes at a time (probably four minutes on average). I wondered if she was working on another client at the same time. In total I lost about 15 minutes of massage time. Then at check out the minimum tip was 25%. I wanted to just leave 20% which I thought was generous for the service. When I asked for a receipt she said there's a credit card fee. It was a 6% fee ! I think they want it to look like sales tax - there is none in PA for massages. Won't go there again. Ripped off. read more

Little known gem in Colmar! I have had dozens of massages in my life, and I can honestly say my massage with Sally was the best ever! My husband recommended this place to me, as he had a wonderful experience as well. I had gone to Massage Envy for a year, but really didn't feel the quality of the massages were consistent, or worth the steep membership and monthly fees. I booked a couples hot stone massage a week in advance. I arrive and tell them.my name for the reservation. Not a single person spoke any english. So we go into the room they come in and started the massage. After a few minutes the amount of pressure was excessive. So I tell her lighter pressure and she has no idea what I am saying because they don't speak any english. Then the front door opens and the masseuse has to leave and go out front and be the receptionist. This happened 3 times so 15 mins of the 60 I paid for were spent with her not even in the room. I would not go back and would recommend going somewhere else. They attempted to over charge. 60 dollars for 60 mins they were trying to charge 125. The website listed 10 dollars off a couples massage so it should have been 110 and yet they wanted that amount. After they called the owner we got the 110 price. The bottom line this place is over priced, understaffed and trying to overcharge people. Your time would be better spent finding another place to go. read more

Every so often I get sort of a mild sciatic feeling pain from my lower back down my right leg. When it comes on, everything seems to aggravate a bit. Driving is uncomfortable; sleeping is difficult to find a position that I can fall asleep. I stopped in and saw Sally. She made some suggestions for what to try: deep tissue; hot stones. In the past, it would take weeks for the discomfort to gradual fade away. After seeing Sally for just one visit, the discomfort was gone. It was such a relief to not have to put up with a couple of weeks of poor sleep and discomfort while driving and sitting at a desk. I will be sure to return whenever this discomfort returns, as it always does once or twice a year. I will also try to make the occasional visit in hopes of keeping a preventative measure going. Sally was very helpful, sincerely interested in my well-being and doing what she could to help alleviate my discomfort, and very pleasant. I highly recommend her therapy service. Rates are also very reasonable: on par or less than other local therapeutic massage providers. I am guessing it is because they are new, because it certainly does not match the quality of service, which is far higher than the charge. I made my first return visit yesterday for a little prevention therapy. I was very impressed that Sally remembered me when I arrived. She knew what my issue was (the sciatic like leg discomfort) from before, which was from a month ago. Whether she keeps good notes on her clients or just has that good of a memory or both does not matter, that is very good. The massage again was excellent. I have now been here a number of times. Each time I receive the same high quality massage, and each time Sally remembers details about my particular health issues so that she can tailor the session to meet my particular needs. Sally is very intuitive in her practice. She is often able to find issues that need attention that I do not mention. She also always has my well-being as a priority; she truly cares about what she can do to help. Furthermore, her warm and welcoming personality sets a very relaxed and comfortable tone, which I feel makes it very easy to allow yourself as the client to fall fully into the session and therefore make the most gains from the therapy. read more

I read the positive reviews on here, and called for an appointment. They were able to get me in on the same day. The office is simple and small, but Sally does a nice job of making it a relaxing environment. Went in tense...came out like a new person! The massage rooms are relaxing, cool colors, lovely music and lighting. The heated table is adjustable, as are the oils. I had a great massage for a very reasonable price. The masseuse kept checking with me as to the pressure, and concentrated on the areas needed. Hot wet towels used to wipe off the oil at the end, a Water and snacks on the way out. Only suggestion would be a small chair in the rooms along with the hooks already there. Decided very last minute to try and book a massage for my birthday. They were able to fit me in last minute with no problems. The outside of the establishment looks a bit shady and small however the inside was clean and accommodating also parking is located in the back which is a plus for the area. My massage was amazing it was a young Asian girl and she did a fabulous job I would highly recommend booking here and will soon return for more massages!!
