After spending all day on the road from Albuquerque, we stopped in Dodge city and found a familiar place from years ago that was still here. all items were very good with no one item being bad or tasting off. Will never eat there again!!!! My husband is a truck driver so anytime we have a chance to eat somewhere that is not a truck stop is great. With that being said the food was the worse I ever had. Most of the chicken dishes was just deep fried breading with sauce. The rice was disgusting and the only thing good there was the mushrooms and potatoes. The waitress was nice but when they asked how we like everything and we told them it was bad and we only ate was mushrooms and potatoes the said " oh well nothing g I can do about it". Avoid this place!!! I should have listened to the reviews instead of going by local recommendations that it was good?? When I went to the dessert bar to select some fruit. There was a fly in the peach tray. I showed it to one of the employees and he just looked at it and said ok. They showed it to another employee there and they did nothing as far as removing the tray from the dessert bar?? So now your're probably eating fly larvae eggs on the fruit and food!! Explains why the people from the other reviews here said they got sick!! The food is bland and after 30 - 40 minutes I had to leave immediately to use the bathroom at my hotel. I didn't want to use the restaurant bathroom and get even more sick!! The one star goes for the Pepsi which was the only thing that was good! Would not recommend this place to anyone. I wouldn't even call it a buffet??? Stay away from it and YES the health department should go in and inspect and shut it down!!! Horrible!!! read more

We arrived around 7:30-7:45ish food on buffet was not fresh and what we did eat tasted like it had been prepared straight from a box and half the instructions were not followed. The restroom facilities for the women were absolutely disgusting and FILTHY(see pics below). We both left due to loss of appetite but still paid $32.51 let's just say that's one place we will not return to. I feel like we just wasted the $32.51 because we both left hungry! I loved the crab Rangoon and I would go back there it just wouldn't be more than a once a month craving thing though. If I could give zero stars I would. I took my family for lunch right when they opened. All of the food was cold like it had been on the buffet for hours. Unfortunately all of the waitresses were too busy on their phones and looking utterly disinterested in their jobs, I felt as if letting them know wouldn't change anything anyways. My two littles ate less than half of what one person would eat and I got charged $8 for each of their plates. Average Chinese buffet. Went there at 7:45pm on a Sunday. Good size crowd for that time of night. If you advertise that you are open until 10pm, then you need to keep your buffet stocked. Big buffet, but probably 40% of the items were not kept stocked up. Some items never did get re stocked the entire time we were there. People were still coming in when we left an hour later and I would have left if I was them. Also overpriced for the quality of food. Correct rating is -10 stars. Just stay away. Horrible horrible horrible. Arrived 11:30 on a Wednesday morning. Place was far from busy, and we soon learned why. Both ordered iced tea and went to load up plates. As noted here previously, the buffet items are not labeled. "Guess and hope it's something you like", is how the game is played. Most of the buffet trays were only half full. Many had what looked like yesterday's leftovers in them. The selection was minimal. Lo mein (well, some rice noodle concoction, anyway) was a clumped blob in the tray. The white and fried rice looked unappealing and lumpy. We each managed to find a couple things to put on our plates and went back to the table, where our iced tea was waiting. Gross. It was so cloudy you couldn't see through it and tasted like it was made two weeks ago. We started eating and stopped after one bite of each thing we chose. $30 for the WORST Chinese food we've ever encountered. So so so so SO bad. read more

We went right when they opened for lunch and everything was soooo fresh and delicious, I can't say enough how great it was! Such a good deal at $8.50 for lunch and the service was awesome. Love that they're taking covid precautions seriously and love how CLEAN the restaurant is top to bottom, even the restrooms were spotless. Definitely coming back again and again! as of about 6 months ago, today is 5.11.18, this place was taken over by a new owner(s) and they're doing a great job. since the new owners have showed up the food has been fresh every time, my visits with my girlfriend around 12 meals. prices are good, food is tasty, sorta asian fusion but fresh. no sushi. no booze. since they got here this place is busy, sometimes on a friday or saturday night the whole place is packed and humming like a top! if you ask for tea, it will take a long time, not sure why. we have them bring it in one pot instead of more cups, plates and pots and we share. but it's fresh. there's no dessert, omg; avoid the ice cream because you know, unsupervised kids... only samples of cheesecake and some jello. you will not be able to get a salad here, nor anywhere else in Dodge. because no one here eats vegetables. don't believe me? go ahead and try it twice in a row, and let me know because I'm gaining weight fast. one complaint, the pop, any type, has an odor. we asked the owner, he wasn't able to respond, not sure why. but about a week later they did replace the water filter, so drink that and tea. it's better. pop (soda) not so good. try coconut shrimp and soup, satisfying. we always reward them with a good tip, they're working hard to turn this place around. read more
