Honestly some of the best Asian food you can get in this area. It gets all the flavors you're craving down. We ordered orange chicken, veggie fried rice and veggie lo mein. The rice was yellow, not sure what spices they used for that but it was delicious. We got duck sauce and soy sauce on the side and that was all that was needed to bring out the flavors in the rice. The lo mein was surprisingly bursting with flavor with lots of well cooked veggies. The portion sizes came as expected. Not a bad price for what we received. A diamond in the rough. We literally stopped for gas and we getting hangry. I pulled up Yelp and started searching, meanwhile we noticed this place just across the street. So I checked it on my app and we went right over. OMG....it was delicious of course, it is a Chinese Buffet. Started with the salad bar and appetizers. Then straight to the meats, no rice...it just fills you up. Everything was very good and I went back for seconds for a couple of the shrimp dishes. The meat on a stick was AMAZING!! this isn't are first time there, but this will be our last. me, mom, brother, and his pregnant girlfriend was there eating for a day out. they would not quite staring at all of us, my brothers girlfriend asked for a box the waiter walked off and got this guy to come over to us and was very rude and said "you will have to pay extra for that and pay for what she ate" that's RIDICULOUS!!! they still stared at us still, we told the guy and he said nothing nice to say!! do not recommend eating there AT ALL read more

I'm a fan of Chinese food buffets, so I had to check out King Buffet in Middlesboro, KY. Tucked away in a strip mall, the selection here is vast and the food is hot and replenished frequently. What makes King Buffet unique is the build-your-own plate bar, where you can choose whatever you want for meat and veggies and it is sautéed with noodles right in front of you. I was here a year ago and the food was pretty good. This is the reason I stopped in again this year. I'd like to give better marks for the food if there had been any. They started closing the buffet down 45 minutes before they closed. The food that I did taste, tasted like it was out of a can. I could actually taste MSG on some of the meat dishes. The green beans were good! The kitchen staff came out and started breaking down the buffet. There was no concern for cleanliness or discretion. One of the kitchen staff grabbed all the utensils and flung them into a metal pan Which clanged loudly, everyone in the restaurant turned to look, he seemed to be completely oblivious. Another kitchen staff member took all of the warming chafers with food in them and just dumped all together like slop. More kitchen staff started replenishing the plates and bowls which they pushed out on a cart that sounded like a freight train! We actually had to stop our conversation because we couldn't be heard. More customers kept coming in and the hostess kept directing them to the buffet even though it was half broke down. Not once did I see the owner the hostess or any of the waitresses smile. It was simply a get them in and get them out service. When we went to pay the bill, the hostess did a double take when we did not write down a tip. Other than bringing our water and iced tea to the table once we did not see our waitress the entire time. And even then she brought Coke instead of iced tea. read more

King Buffet is an absolutely massive restaurant not only for yourself or one other; it's suited for the whole family. You'll be greeted by some waitresses who will treat you right the whole dinner with great service. The food is amazing. The General Tso's is General Tso's done right. But even if you don't like Chinese food they have an elite selection of American foods as well, such as pizza, hot wings, tenders, etc. Their sushi is to die for and perfectly made. What an absolutely massive Chinese experience and I've not even talked about the dessert selection. The cheesecake is some of the best cheesecake I've ever had. The chocolate and banana pudding are to absolutely die for. King Buffet is a great restaurant that I will be going to for the foreseeable future. read more

This is not real Chinese food. It is far from it and they do a poor job of even keeping the food warm. I ordered Shrimp Fried Rice and the bottom half of my box did not have shrimp. My roommate ordered vegetable fried rice and he took two bites and threw the rest out. It also tasted very very dry. I would not recommend this to anyone. read more

I love kings buffet, My family eats there very often. The food is always fresh and the service is good. They also have crab legs Fridays and Saturdays for dinner. It is just called "kings buffet" though, it is not "new kings buffet". They have a raw bar with a grill where they will cook your food right infront of you, several isles of cooked food, and a good dessert bar as well.It is decorated very nice, and always seems clean. We eat there several times a month, the food is always delicious, but there are times that it isn't as hot as I would like. The only other thing is that they are sometimes slow to refill a dish when it is empty. We have never found any nasty dishes or silverware and the service us always good. Of course we live about 45 miles away, not like we are from someplace like Chicago or California, so I guess we mountain folk don't really know what is really good. My boyfriend wanted to eat here on a Sunday after church. I didn't tell him, but it doesn't compare well with other Chinese buffets I've visited. The food is not fresh and too much is fried or over processed. I found enough to satisfy by picking broccoli out of the Chicken & Broccoli, eating Butter Shrimp, Steamed Dumplings, mushrooms, watermelon and noodles. But I wouldn't go back. Boyfriend loaded up, though, and also had a hibachi dish prepared. It looked just ok. Service was good. It's truly a shame how this place has went downhill. It's dirty, the cups are sticky (probably due to the fact that the servers also bus the tables and stick their fingers down into several glasses at a time in order to carry more which would be fine if they washed their hands between then and bringing your drink but they don't), and the food is rarely hot. Also, you're never sure you're getting your glass/cup back after a refill. They should bring you a new one. The carpet is stained. Tables are sticky. Not worth it to me. read more

I rarely review unless very good or very bad. This is a VERY GOOD buffet. We eat at Chinese Buffets regularly. All over the country in fact. We both felt this place was in the top tier. Especially for a strip mall location. A few complained they have started to tear down the buffet 45 minutes before closing. I'd say, go a little early and don't whine about it. It's worth it. Coming from California, we have a lot of similar buffets & have been to quite a few. Although this definitely doesn't compare to any of them, it was alright. All the food tasted fine but some dishes were hotter than others. Our favorites included the green beans, cream cheese wontons, General Tso's chicken, coconut shrimp & teriyaki chicken. The Mongolian grill portion was pretty decent as well. My fiance and I don't eat pork and some of the dishes contained what we called "mystery meat" where the sign didn't indicate what kind of meat was inside of the item, so we chose to not eat it. It would've been nice to know what was inside of their egg rolls or wontons to be specific as it wasn't indicated. The sushi they offered definitely is not what we would call sushi. They only had rolls and they consisted mostly of rice with a small piece of imitation crab and cream cheese. We went to a dinner on Friday and paid $27. A little over-priced in our opinion for the overall experience. read more
