I would not recommend them for early or late pickups because it seems clear that they need to rely on contractors for the off hours and the contractors are not that reliable. I was even charged for an extra pick up that transported no one, and they are refusing to refund the money. If I could give negative 10 stars I would. Sorry to have to report this as they originally came highly recommended. They caused my sister and bridal party unnecessary stress- I would strongly caution anyone considering King's Car Service for a wedding or special event. We booked transportation months in advance for my daughter's wedding and had multiple conversations confirming the details, including hotel pickups and two transit vans running shuttles at the end of the night. Despite this being clearly discussed and included in the plans, none of it was honored. Instead of the agreed-upon transportation, only one 20-passenger limo arrived. Several guests had to find their own transportation, and some had to pay for Ubers back to the hotel and after-party. I was also charged on the day of the wedding for an additional pickup from the hotel to the venue because I was told guests were still waiting there. Wanting to make sure no one was stranded, I agreed. By the time the vehicle arrived, however, there was no one left to transport. I am now disputing that charge, and despite the fact that no service was actually provided, the company is refusing to refund my money. Communication throughout the process was extremely poor. I repeatedly had to chase them for pictures, pricing, and a corrected contract. The week of the wedding I became so concerned that I drove to the Pearl River office location listed on their website, only to find out from neighboring businesses and security that they had not been there for years. On the wedding day, while trying to enjoy my daughter's photos and ceremony, I was fielding calls from the limo company about pickups and transportation issues. The driver was unprofessional, not properly dressed, there was no champagne as promised, and he seemed unfamiliar with where he was going. This experience caused unnecessary stress during what should have been one of the happiest days for our family. First and last time I would ever use this service. Rude and unprofessional on the phone, arrived 20 minutes late with no heads up. They apparently contract out to a Spring Valley taxi company. Driver was Hispanic but spoke not one word of English. Handed me his cell phone and pointed to an app to speak in the phone for directions. I was going 1 mile from my house. I recently hired King Cab Service in Dec 2025 for a trip to and a return trip from Kennedy Airport. I specifically notified the dispatcher Steve when I made the arrangements and called them the morning of and the morning of return to remind them I needed 2 car seats and a booster seat. Upon pick up the driver was missing a car seat. He told us he forgot. Being that we were running late and it was an international flight we had no choice and had to make do or miss our flight. Upon our return on Sunday night on snow covered streets and a sleety night at 10:00 pm the same driver arrived missing a car seat again. The same driver then informed us his SUV (the same SUV) could not accommodate 2 car seats and a booster seat. the driver had intentionally lied and deceived us at pick up.We then called King Cab and the driver was going to leave us at the airport after a 12 hour flight 10 pm at night with an infant and 2 toddlers at the airport on a sleety night. We again had no choice but to accept the ride. At my home I asked the driver to assist with my suitcase up the stairs, he drove away. I called King Cab the next day requesting 1/2 reimbursement for the below standard professional ride home. My request was ignored , and was not called back professionally.. The manager Joey by phone agreed to reimburse me for half the trip, I have not heard back. This company was a good company, however its safety standards and professional Accountability has declined. Beware using this company. If an issue arises, there is no professional accountability, offers professional services with below legal safety standards and has poor customer service. read more

Old unsafe car that smelled inside. It was raining ant the car had a problem with its headlights at night! The exhaust system is extremely loud. The wheels were not balanced. Essentially, the car is in dire need of repair. The driver was nice and was on time. This was an extremely scary ride. read more

Worst car service experience I have ever had. Left 10 people (2 pregnant women) stranded in New Jersey at 11pm an hour away from our home in New York. They also took all our bags that we left in our sprinter van which had keys to our apartment and money. I will never be using this company again and urge everyone else to do the same. They helped me in a jam when my manhattan yellow cab broke down on the palisades parkway; I told them about where I was and was picked up in about 15 minutes and taken home safely. I booked this car service a few months early and then called two weeks prior to reconfirm all the confirmation codes and booking details. In speaking with Jennifer, all was confirmed and new confirmation emails were sent with new date stamps. This was my first time using a car service for a departing flight and I was sure to triple check all details. The day before the flight I received an automated email notifying me that they were scheduled to come. Well, the next morning they were scheduled to arrive at 3:30 am and didn't show. I called and the nice man said he had no record of the trip at all. He was pretty amazing at keeping me from freaking out and he somehow found a person to zoom quickly to My home and then miraculously fly us to JFK. Our driver was really nice and i would give him 5 stars, but the company gets 1. We got there with minutes to spare. I emailed all this matter to Jennifer and we spoke on her phone. She was not willing to budge on any compensation and had a lot of reasons to state why this happened. We cancelled our return trip With them and booked Rockland Car Service instead. I wish this company the best of luck but feel it is impt to warn future customers so they don't get in the same pickle I was in. Not a fun way to start a trip. read more

Probably the worst car service. We used them to go to a ship. My confirmation said 12 passengers and 15 pieces of luggage but they sent an old van that only sat 10- a row was taken out for the luggage. After a fuss an extra car was sent but they told us they would not do that on the return trip. Two days later I got an email that said "they would not be able to service us on the return". This car service doesn't even deserve a star. When scheduling the service my dad requested an SUV because we had a lot of luggage, but they stated we didn't need an SUV and that a Lincoln will fit everything. When the Lincoln arrived it had a tire in the back trunk so all of the luggage did not fit. We had to leave the tire at our house in order for the bags to fit. On the way to the airport the transmission of the car was so broken that the car was jilting the whole 2 hour drive. The driver said he knew it was broken when he picked us up and that service told him to still use that car. I need to add that the Lincoln had 450,000 miles on it. The car ride was so bad we didn't think we would make it to the airport. When using the car service on the way home from the airport they arrived with a car that had broken air conditioner on a hot day while it was raining, so windows was not much of an option. When we called the car service, after the fact, to tell them about this experience the guy on the phone handed it over to a woman who was so unprofessional it was incredible. She did not care that we had this experience. The only thing she said was "did you make the flight". She then processed to say there was nothing they could do because they had to pay 8,000 to fix the transmission. That is NO way to handle customer service. She was so rude. We will never be using this service again and told everyone we know to not use this service either. read more

My friend booked a limo for 4 hours next weekend and was quoted for $480. She gave her credit card over the phone and they said they would email the confirmation. She called today to follow up on the confirmation email because her card was already charged and was told we owe another $500. The company is now saying there's no way they would have quoted us for that price and is refusing to refund our money. After posting my experience on Facebook the owner Dave, agreed to refund our money. A day later my phone has not stopped ringing all morning from a blocked number. I was very dissapointed in this car service. I booked a pick up and the driver was not there when I arrived. When I called the office to check on the status of my pick up I was connected with the driver who told me he was at the airport. After waiting around for 30 minutes I called again and was told that the driver was 10 minutes away. I called 15 minutes later and the driver told me he had another customer he was with. I called the office again to see what was going on and if we were going to be picked up. The woman I spoke to on the phone became upset when I asked about my pick up, stating that I was not the only customer that they had and I would need to wait. At this point it was an hour past my scheduled pick up time. The woman placed me on hold and that is when things took a turn for the worse. While on hold I began to talk to the person I was traveling with saying that now we would be leaving the airport inbthe middle of rush hour. The office woman clicked back on my line and started screaming at me about not knowing when rush hour was and that it already started so we would have hit traffic even if the car was on time. I communicated with her that I was not complaining to her about traffic I was talking to someone else. She proceeded to scream that phones work two ways and if I didn't want to be heard on the other line I should have muted myself and called me a "dumb b***ch c***t". After this I called an uber because it was clear they were not coming and did not care for my business. I called to request a quote for a 20 passenger party bus and when I was given the price, I said thank you and explained that I was going to use a different company that was significantly cheaper. The man on the phone called me a "cheap bastard" and hung up the phone. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Look elsewhere. We used this car service to and from the airport. The drivers were on time and courteous but the cars (two different vehicles) both had the check engine light on the entire time and made dinging noises. We were supposed to have car seats, I was told they didn't them after I asked when the driver called to tell me he was in my driveway so we had to use ours. I called the morning of our flight home to make sure the car seats would be in the car and was told that they would be, when the car showed up they weren't installed so I had to do it on the pickup shoulder at Newark. I've called numerous times to try and get an invoice and still have yet to receive one or a call back for a manager. read more

King car, and Steve in particular, got me out of a couple really big jams. One time, my car was blocked by other cars and I couldn't leave a party. I called King car and Steve came and picked me up and brought me home. The car was clean and the car was warm it was freezing out that night. The other time, Steve picked me up and dropped me off at my wife's dentist office where she was high as a kite on nitrous oxide. She couldn't drive home and I couldn't drive my car there or we would have to pick my car up somehow later. I called King car and Steve picked me up and brought me right to the dentist, I carried my wife to the car and all was well. Thanks Steve and King car for the great service. read more

Late review from May 2017. Ordered a 15 passenger bus to take my daughter and friends to a restaurant for her Sweet 16. When bus didn't arrive on time, I called and was told, "Thank Goodness you called! There is a problem with the van, we have to send you a 12 passenger limo will be there in 30 minutes". At what point were they going to call and let me know?? They were already late. I got the impression that they were covering up a booking mistake. Limo was there an hour after original time. Car was barely able to fit passengers. Audio system did not work. Girls were very disappointed. Driver was great though. He did give the girls a an extra hour drive, but with 2 kids sitting on floor, it wasn't much fun. Asked driver to have owner call me. He never did. I should have followed up, but never did. I contracted them to provide a party bus for a wedding 3 months ago! 2 weeks ago a received a call saying that bus broke down and they would not be able to provide the bus! I tried to call the owner (only talks to you thru FB msg and he promised that they would have the bus ready, 3 days ago they called again and said they can't fix it on time!!!! My husband used them to go Newark. Cars were not very clean inside- pretty beat up. Not as nice as other car services. One of the cars had horrible suspension with lots of of bouncing which made for a bumpy ride. One of the drivers didn't even acknowledge my husband when he arrived at our house. He didn't get out of the car until the very last minute. You might save some money with them but it's not the best. read more

Worst service ever. I tried to work with Dave Stacks to set up an arrangement for my mother who has difficulty getting out. He was very responsive and I requested a weekly bill. He changed it to monthly. Now TWO months later no bill and I am begging for the bill and complaining that he does not perform the services he claims to. He calls me to try to prevent negative reviews from other customers on my group page but does not follow through. Drivers take over ONE hour to pick up my mother.
