Recently visited the store for a 4H project on our local club. Helpful staff and a great selection of inventory. I'm aware of the new family ownership of the business and feel that we should support our local business. But I was overly disappointed after purchasing wood and being told that they can cut it after we had measurements of what we wanted to come back. I called before going to the store to make sure it was a good time and was told they don't cut wood!! Really we purchased a large amount and to be told they couldn't was a disappointment. Before moving to King City Ace in Salinas was my to go hardware store and guess what I called them and they said to bring them in and they would take care of it. And that's exactly what I did!! Once again Ace pulls through for me. I needed a special key made and I know it's not common and they did research for me ordered and made my life easier. And to the customer who complained you can not compare home depot prices to Ace. Each Ace store is a franchise. They are not buying large quantities of items like HD. I live about an hour away from Ace Hardware, on 14 Dec bought a grinder cutter and when I opened the found it was a mini grinder, not what I needed for the job I was doing. Went back to the store on 23 Dec to return said item, and was told they can't do returns on thing that were on sale, ok credit fine... the 4.5 inch grinder cost $429, that very same grinder can be bought at Home Depot for well under $200... so I wanted my money back store said no can do, well give you a credit.... Yes useless service store, once I use this credit, I will never spend another dime in Ace Hardware..... terrible store, Home Depot more than 50% cheaper read more

U guys suck when it comes to getting anyone on the phone ,,,I had an emergency and needed to call the ace in king city to tell them my husband would be down probable right at 5 pm and please let him in cause we needed the last part u had in stock my pluming had when out and had been there 3 times already that day .but needed the last part and u guys closed anyway ...so I had to wait untill the next day to have any thing fixed and have running water ..so ..in that area u need to switch it up a bit... .not only that ..I had to wait for one more week before they came back to fix my sink ...it sucked doing dishes in the bathtub.. read more

The best service, selection and especially paint and minor hobbyist supplies. It's so well organized since they grew into the ok'd KC Glass shop. Everyone in store goes the extra mile: they've carried my heavy stuff out, answered questions. Spotless store including restroom. read more
