Our group was on a road trip from West Palm Beach, FL to a camp called JH Outback in McMinville, TN. After the majority of our ride was done we decided to start looking for a place to stop, and were blessed enough to come across this little place called King Donuts. Food wise - amazing. I had a bacon, egg and cheese croissant that was so good and fresh it was to die for. We also got a donut with fruity pebbles on top. Literally THE BEST donut I have ever had. Wow. So moist and sweet and flavorful and delicious. Next trip to TN I will drive all the way to Dunlap just for these amazing donuts, no lie. Afterwards we talked to one of the owners and she told me how important it was to them to focus on quality ingredients which I thought was really cool and very evident in the quality of all we got. We learned the couple that owns the shop gets up in the early AM to make all those donuts themselves! You can taste the quality and decidication. What was really cool was the people! We had nice long conversations with the owners who made us Florida people feel so welcome and even helped us get to know the area a little better. Even the local customers in there had such friendly faces and talked with us, it was truly a great way to get a taste of the area. They directed us on our trip, told us about their life and all the fun places to go in TN! God bless you and your business all in the name of Jesus Christ! Pretty cute donut and breakfast shop in small town of Dunlap! Service was quick, breakfast sandwiches are made to order and the donuts were tasty. I had the strawberry cake donut which was dang good! My wife had their maple donut and the maple was alright. My daughter had their glazed donut holes and they were good but no Krispy Cream. All in all, I'll support this local donut shop as it satisfies the craving and cute atmosphere. read more

They have the best donuts anywhere in Dunlap, but once they run out of a certain kind for the day, they will not make anymore of that kind. That bites!!! They could make a killing if they would keep the donut case at least half way filled. Some of us have to go in earlier than they open and by the time we get off work they have already sold out of all the good ones. read more

Thai owner is an asshole. Bad attitude for no reason on multiple visits. Has used the same DIRTY glove multiple times touching CASH and donuts. Upcharged us a dollar and still expected a tip. You know how they get all pouty when they swing around the iPad This will be our last time coming. read more

King Donuts just put Dunlap on the DONUT MAP!!! Check it out... they open at the "correct" time for a donut shop 5AM Monday thru Sat!!!! And let me tell you they make donuts the way donuts want to made..FRIED sweet and tasty... not the silly bakery donuts that taste like cake...These babies will stick with you till noon and keep you going like sweet magic. They even have the donut filling machine to fill with your unique choice of jams or creams n' custards to order! Love this place... The owners and employees are super friendly and take time to make sure you know they appreciate you stopping in. Listen, I know it may not look great. But holy crap is this Dunlap best kept secret. The donuts were soft, fluffy, and tasted perfect. They were clearly made that day, and unlike other places you could taste the freshness. The breakfast croissant was everything you'd want from a fresh croissant. The bread was fluffy and buttery, the sausage and eggs perfectly cooked and fresh, the bacon crispy but not too crispy. I spent less than 10$ in this store, and got better donuts and food than places charging 15-20$. That might not seem like a big difference... but just wait till you taste the freshness. Holy donuts! My husband is a bit of a "donut junky". I on the other hand, have always been a little "meh" when it comes to donuts. But then we moved to the area last year, and it didn't take long for the hubs to sniff this place out. And you know what....I kinda hate him for it! These are THE BEST donuts I've ever eaten! Our waistlines can't afford to get them all the time, but about once a month, he gets a dozen. Today he got a dozen, including my fav - the sour cream crullers. He loves the glazed blueberry, and they gave him a glazed strawberry to try....now he has to choose. If you haven't tried them, you're missing out! Great people. Opened yesterday (02/03/2017). So like anything new, covered up to say the least, felt sorry for the owners/workers they were running around like crazy. Probably waited +/- 15 minutes and it was worth it. Should do well in Dunlap. Doughnuts were great, and had just been fried and glazed.
