I would have probably let this go because I don't like to leave negative reviews if it weren't for the obvious coldness of the Clerks. Scott never once smiled at us during check-in nor check-out. The other lady at check-out looked as if she was straining to be cordial. We are super-nice people, chatting it up with everyone and didn't even complain about the room. We felt so unwelcomed. Definitely other options on the Island.

One person would have to choose between having a drink or a very lackluster snack--not both. The pool is listed as an amenity, yet it was completely shut down and coated in green algae. When we arrived at our room, we noticed a row of random office-style chairs lined up outside in the main walkway, directly beneath a "No Smoking" sign. Below them sat three ashtray cups. Nearby was a man wearing an oversized black shirt, oversized shorts, sunglasses, and a crossbody fanny pack. He stared at us in a way that felt uncomfortable and unsafe. He wandered around the property, and we eventually realized he worked there. His appearance and suspicious behavior did not resemble hotel staff in any professional sense, and the overall vibe was unsettling. Opening the door to our room was the final straw. The overwhelming smell of mold, mildew, and cigarettes hit us instantly--so strong we could barely breathe. Nothing in the reviews or advertisements prepared us for this. Even the shower was coated in dark grime, clearly not cleaned or disinfected for quite some time. The sheets were dirty, walls were dirty, sink was dirty. Just so unsanitary. It made my skin crawl and you can't even breathe the air in the room. When we stepped back outside, the front desk attendant was right there, chain-smoking one cigarette after another. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. This place is nothing like what it claims to be. I don't understand how this place has such great reviews. This is the biggest catfish I've ever experienced. Someone must be buying people off.

She explained everything in detail and walked us through the cabin and made us feel very welcomed. The unique one story cabins are arranged in a horseshoe configuration and are named according to their theme, and in the middle a beautiful courtyard is shared with gueats. We actually stayed in their latest newly remodeled two story cabin called The Marlin. It's located right next to the main property. At night it's very safely lit and your vechicals are parked under the structure. It sleeps 10 with two full baths and all the amenities you need to make your stay enjoyable. It has a second story large balcony and a small third story balcony as well. Access to the beach is at walking distance or a short drive. After hurricane Harvey the cabins sustained damage and there was even a waterline marker when the storm surge came in. After alot of hard work and tireless vollenteers the newly remodeled cabins are better than ever. Becky was even kind enough to show us inside The Rock and Roll cabin and the remarkable improvements they made. The Dancing Dunes is highly recommend which ever cabin you stay in. Check out their Facebook page or website to make reservations in advance because they do fill up quickly. We're definitely coming back next year and can't wait to make memories again.

While not in perfect condition, the room was thoughtfully designed with flat surfaces and hooks where needed. It was nice to have a woodgrain floor and no carpet. There was also a futon for extra seating but it was not comfortable. The bed was comfortable, but the sheets had some areas with rough texture. The tub/shower was clean. The tub was slick. There was adequate water pressure and plenty of hot water. Prior to arrival, I was able to do most parts of checking in online. On arrival I only had to show an ID and agree to pay damages if I smoked or made a mess, and to specify whether or not we wanted housekeeping visits and what we wanted them to do. We opted out. Breakfast was surprisingly very good on the first morning, a Tuesday. Weekday hours were limited to 7-9 am, 10 am on weekends. There was lots of variety in hot foods, juices, and yogurt. There was a pancake-wrapped sausage on a stick, 2 varieties of eggs, some very good bacon, tortillas and grated cheese for those wanting breakfast tacos, and other goodies. There were 2 waffle machines and 2 batter flavors. The attendant was very friendly and helpful. I watched her retrieve bottled water for some people and bus others' tables. This was not the usual motel "free breakfast" experience, but something much better. The second morning was not as good. As one example, the pancake-wrapped sausages weren't fully heated, there were no tortillas, and the attendant didn't seem so into her job. The breakfast room is extremely cramped, but there are overflow spaces in the hallway and outdoors. This motel was a good value for us and better than a previous experience at this location. Maybe it's because we became platinum rewards members on this trip, but we can't be sure.

I ended up reaching out to Lauren at Silver Sands and I am so glad I did. She hooked us up in the CUTEST place at the Old Town Cottages. We were in unit #14 and it was ADORABLE! It was brand new and even had that new condo smell. The details, décor and over-all feel of the place was very high end. We were only there three nights, but I can see using this for a longer stay. It was just the two of us, but the room with the bunks would allow us to bring our kids and have enough space for everyone. The smart TVs in both bedrooms and the living area is enough to keep everyone entertained with their own thing, and the golf cart that came with the rental was a blast. Wifi was strong and allowed for streaming and catching up on work here and there. The only somewhat negative thing I will say about unit 14 is that it was up some pretty steep stairs (above the retail shops) and so the up/down when unloading and loading was not fun. When we return, we will try to reserve one of the full cottages that are stand-alone one-story cottages. The location is great...smack dab in the middle of everything and steps away from some great bars and restaurants. When we ventured out further, it was so much fun to putter around in our golf card. We are so glad to have Lauren and this sweet little spot play a role in our special weekend. The property description gave zero indication that it was not pet-friendly. At no point during the search, booking, contract signing, or leading up to our stay was there any suggestion that pets were prohibited. Our pet is an FHA-certified service animal, legally protected under the Fair Housing Act (FHA), meaning we are not required to notify the property or pay any fee for its presence. Notification would have been a courtesy, not a legal obligation. Our stay became a nightmare when management attempted to illegally evict us from midnight to 2 a.m., claiming our service animal breached the contract. This was baseless, given the pet-friendly listing, and a direct violation of federal law, as service animals are exempt from pet restrictions. The harassment was relentless, waking our children, including an infant and our immunocompromised 8-year-old, causing significant distress. Management showed zero ability to de-escalate or handle the situation professionally. Initially, management tried to force us to move to a neighboring house that stunningly reeked of cigarettes, an unacceptable and health-threatening environment, especially for our immunocompromised child. When we refused, they offered a second "accommodation" at one-third the rental cost we paid--a filthy property infested with cockroaches and fire ants, grossly understocked, and unfit for habitation. We requested police assistance to clarify our rights, but the responding officers were shockingly incompetent, admitting they were "irritated to be called out." Instead of upholding the law, they threatened to arrest us if we didn't pack up and leave, despite this being an illegal eviction attempt without formal notice or court process. Management's excuse? The owner's child was "highly allergic to dogs." This raises the question: what would have changed between 2 a.m. and 9 a.m. the next morning? This justification was flimsy and irrelevant, given the property's pet-friendly marketing. Exhausted and traumatized, we checked out early after recovering some rest. The entire experience was unconscionable, marked by tactless, selfish owners and utterly inept property management who endangered our family's health and safety, particularly our immunocompromised child. We are demanding a full refund of the $3,600 due to the illegal eviction attempt, FHA violation, and uninhabitable conditions. I urgently warn others, especially those with service animals, pets, or vulnerable family members, to avoid Sunflower Beach Resorts and Residences at all costs. The owners and management's disregard for federal law, guest safety, and basic hospitality is deplorable. Save yourself the trauma and book elsewhere.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Angel Rose , we will visit again soon. As of now, they are making plans to continue the restoration and to make several upgrades. They are in talks to add an elevator, two extra suites and a sunroom. Upon arrival we asked about any ghost or haunting stories, the owner informed us they may or may not have a friendly ghost! It is also just a short drive to all our favorite restaurants. Melissa is always most welcoming and helpful. This has become our "go to" place in Port Aransas and we look forward to our next trip.

The pix don't do it justice but it's well worth the $.. and even that's very reasonable! There is a great pool jist steps from your entrance door, and w this unit being a top corner unit, your back patio is perfect for night time or early mornin chillin. You can see the ocean from the patio, and you can hear it with the door open. There is a designated walk way, which on foot takes less than minutes to walk! It's very clean and well stocked. I love this condo!

Great rental on the South side of downtown Rockport near Rositas, Rock Bottom and Whiskey Palm…read more Recent, new construction with contemporary beach vibes. It's a duplex with identical, mirror floor plans that have a pass through door. So you can rent half or all of the property. Each side has a primary bedroom and second bedroom with bunk beds or two twins. There are also two full bathrooms. Neither attached to a bedroom. Each has a fully equipped kitchen and stackable washer and dryer. A pool is under construction (June 2025) that looks like it will be really nice when finished. There are great upstairs balcony patios along with ample downstairs, covered common areas with picnic tables, bbq grills and parking. This place is well-located and well-kept. If visiting Rockport, don't hesitate to consider this rental.
