My friend accidentally forgot her bathing suit in our cottage after we were checked out and well on our way home, so we called up the office and they very thoughtfully let the bathing suit dry out and offered to ship it to her home. 10/10 recommend!

Brought up an issue we had the previous night with so much dust and dirt in the room that it was causing a health risk to the occupants and was met with a very rehearsed and and aggressive response "that she inspected the room herself after the best maid they had turned it over" before we checked in. Why would I lie? I have nothing to gain. Screw me right, for asking for the bare minimum. Nevermind the fact that they put us in a room with STAIRS to get to the room, for someone that usually needs a wheelchair. Keep in mind I called like over a month in advance to explain that we were with a disabled senior and needed a ground level room which we were assured of. I was however offered a room on the 2nd floor (because that totally makes sense for a disabled person) that we would then have to pay again for because her personal idea of clean is dust caked walls, tables, lamps and everything else. dishes in the cabinets with caked on food, live bugs in the bed, and dirty hair covered sinks. Honestly I'm not even upset with the maid. if anything the woman at the desk with the shoulder length black box dyed hair, glasses, Monroe piercing (or mole idk) chain smoking with a chip on her shoulder is probably hindering their work with her personal idea of clean. Gross room even grosser staff. Emailed manager for a partial refund. Of course no response. Long story short: total health hazard, not accommodating to disabled, and also get charged a cleaning fee of $34.15 for no maid service and upon check out are told to empty the rooms trash in the properties dumpster yourself as the guest.. get real. Our full trash can upon checkout is clearly up to her personal standards so she can deal with it.

It's true that the property feels a little outdated when you first walk into check-in, but beyond that, we were very happy with our stay. There are plenty of luggage carts, as well as shopping carts, which made it easy to transport luggage and groceries to our condo. The pools were great. With three separate pool areas, they never felt overcrowded--in fact, most of the time we had the pool to ourselves. They could use a few more sun loungers, and it would have been nice to have a pool bar; there is even an area that looks like there may have been one previously. The walk down to the beach is very easy, but be mindful that there are steps, so if you're using a wagon, you may need someone to help carry it down onto the sand. I did appreciate the hose station at the top of the boardwalk--it made it easy to rinse off sand, especially from the wagon wheels. Overall, we were very happy with this location for a short weekend stay and would definitely return.

Our stay at the Coastal Calm unit located on the 3rd floor was perfect for our family of 4. Highly recommend that unit. The master had 2 queen beds, and the secondary bedroom had 1 queen beds. All beds were comfortable. They had extra beach towels and accessories available if needed. Things that other guests had left behind as well. Living room had ample seating, as well as patio. When booking, you're provided instructions on what you need to bring, and what is provided. The pool at the condo resort was spacious and well kept. There is a wash station for those coming back from the beach. Going to the beach was so easy and the beach area was not crowded at all. We signed up with Me Blue to deliver a tent and lounge chairs on the beach for us. It was amazing and convenient. Second day we rented the canopy option available through the Mayan. That was equally convenient and easy. You can tell the property could use some updating, but it was overall a great place to stay. We enjoyed our visit and will certainly be back.

Our young kids were staying with us and cannot be around pest control substances as they have many allergies. The manager Nadia told us that we were expected to stay there that night even though roaches were present and that no reimbursement would be available since they offered pest control to come spray. Obviously customer service does matter at all to this place, they only care about money not if someone were to have a good time and return. Nearby was a man wearing an oversized black shirt, oversized shorts, sunglasses, and a crossbody fanny pack. He stared at us in a way that felt uncomfortable and unsafe. He wandered around the property, and we eventually realized he worked there. His appearance and suspicious behavior did not resemble hotel staff in any professional sense, and the overall vibe was unsettling. Opening the door to our room was the final straw. The harassment was relentless, waking our children, including an infant and our immunocompromised 8-year-old, causing significant distress. It's clean, quiet, and has everything you need to enjoy your trip: swimming pool, hot tub, a covered bar area and grills that make it easy to hang out and have fun. Also, there's an elevator! Super convenient for accessibility or luggage. Inside, the studios are like oversized hotel rooms with the bonus of a full size kitchen and bathroom. It's perfect for 2 people. You've got cable and streaming TV, good internet, and the star of the show is the balcony. Sitting out there with my coffee at sunrise is the best. It overlooks the dunes and ocean, and you can even watch the big ships cruise in and out of the port. Overall, it's the perfect spot if you want a convenient, laid-back, fun, no-stress place to stay.
