We normally don't leave food reviews, but this was one of the worst Chinese meals we've had and felt worth warning others. We're new to the area and decided to try it despite seeing one recent negative review -- unfortunately, it was not a fluke. Everything lacked flavor and seasoning. * Beef lo mein (with added shrimp): bland, no depth, tasted like plain noodles with unseasoned beef. * General Tso's chicken: tasted like overly fried sweet & sour chicken -- soggy, very sweet, and zero spice. * Fried rice: not fried at all. It looked and tasted like yellow rice with steamed vegetables mixed in -- completely flavorless. * Egg rolls: crispy outside but the filling was brown mush with no identifiable flavor. * Donuts: just plain fried dough, not coated in sugar or anything to give them sweetness or texture like most Chinese restaurants do. Overall, extremely disappointing and not worth the cost. We won't be returning. read more

I've been going here for years for take out - ever since I found this little hide away in Callaway. Not sure why others have not experienced the best Chinese food in Bay County, but I find it my go to place whenever I'm in the area. The family meal can't be beat for both the price and the quality of dishes. I have a small family and we end up with food for 2-3 days in left overs! The Roast Pork fried rice and Orange Chicken are the closest to NY style available in Bay County. Their Kung Pao while not as spicy hot as we prefer, is still very good if you ask them to pump up the heat - in other words, "Chinese Hot". This is a nice little Asian food place. There prices are very competitive and you get a good amount of food with your order (usually I have leftover for another meal). My normal is the Mongolian beef combination platter and it always tastes fresh and delicious. I don't like that they made it where you can't wait inside for your food or eat inside at all but it's still worth it. read more

This place use to be good. After being shut down by the health department and reopening it actually went down hill. We had a family order with shrimp w/ Chinese veg, lo mein, chicken wings, and cheese wontons. The chicken wings were tiny and they didn't have enough, which we didn't find out until we picked up. The biggest problem though was the shrimp w/ Chinese veg. It was very obvious that the shrimp had been fried at some point and then was repurposed. Placed an order for pickup, said 10 minutes. Took us 20 to get there. Waited outside for 10 minutes to pick up order. Woman at checkout took the order of the woman in front of me and then left to the back to fill the order immediately. I had to just stand and watch my food get cold for another 10 minutes until she came BACK with the other persons order. Service needs to be greatly improved. read more

The food is awesome cooked by the chefs.But the lady that answers phone and takes orders and takes the money is beyond rude to customers and when you attempt to tell her that your order was wrong she will tell u in a nasty attitude that it wasn't them and you ordered it that way and will hang up , if it wasn't for the chefs pleasant attitude and good food that is when that lady takes the right order they would probably not have customers. New to Panama City, and came across this tiny little corner Chinese Restaurant in the Walmart plaza. Definitely more of a TO-GO place. Has a few tables inside. All dishes made fresh. The noodle and rice dishes are o.k. but their General chicken, sesame chicken are pretty great. Definitely our "go to" in this area. Prices are GREAT, especially their family meal that easily feeds 4 with leftovers for 26.00 bucks after tax. Not disappointed. read more

Delicious. NOM-tastic. We've ordered from King House 3 times now. It's a simple phone call and we always get what we order. Our order was ready in 15 minutes or less each time. The food is always hot, even after the couple minute drive home. Very reasonable prices. A lot of food for the money (they don't skimp). -Beef & Broccoli is amazing. Lo mein is good. -Sweet and Sour Chicken is very good. -Bourbon Chicken is also tasty (FYI, it comes with lots of veggies; I wasn't expecting veggies the 1st time). -Bonus homemade doughnuts!! I can not say enough good things about this restaurant. They make the most delicious Chinese food in Panama City. Their prices are excellent for a family pack, with more than enough food for a family of 5. The people who own this restaurant are incredibly kind, and have always had wonderful service.
