Once you get your actual order in... then you're good to go and your food will come out quick. The sesame chicken is light and not too saucey, along with the General Gao's. You could actually tell the difference between the two sauces! The pork fried rice was plentiful. Here, you order your entrees and fried rice separate, and one fried rice is plenty for two people. The portions were huge, and not too expensive. As far as alcoholic drinks, I ordered the Blue Hawaiian, a personal favorite, and the drinks weren't too strong, but weren't that light either for $5.50. My date ordered the Mai Tai, which was also delicious. This is a run of the mill Chinese restaurant, so 3 stars for average, despite the bad service, because let's face it, you usually get bad service at Chinese resturants. First I must admit I have no idea where they are located or what the place looks like as I have never been there. I have been lucky enough to have had take out from here a few times because they deliver to Sutton (where my mother in law lives). The food is tasty and they don't skimp on the portions. We used to love this place, but lately it has been hit or miss. Sometimes the food tastes great and sometimes it doesn't. As of late, we feel that it has been more miss. Our last order took approximately 2 hours to be delivered. We were told that it would take about 45 minutes to an hour, which was typical. Two hours is a little excessive. My mother and I go to the buffet which is all you can eat for a cheap amount. Filled with all sorts of food. Have no complaints about the food, it tasted great! This place, next to the "Burger Heaven" (aka Jube's), is not that bad. I've been there a handful of times and have always been satisfied with their quality of food and service. Their parking lot isn't that big, and when it's busy IT'S BUSY!!! When you walk in you think you're in a hole in a the wall type of quick chinese food place, but upon not turning around and getting food it is definitely more than a hole in the wall. There are some tables and chairs if you want to dine in (I have not done that yet) but it's main business is take home. The menu has a wide variety of the usual Ameri-chinese staples (chicken fingers, General Gau, etc.) But it also has a Pad Thai section (Which I will try soon). Prices are REAAAAALLY good!! Meals are less than 8 dollars and come with either white rice, fried rice, lo mein, plus a small side of some sort (eggroll, chicken finger, crab rangoon, check out their menu) This is probably where their menu is the most worth it. We fed 4 HUNGRY people and had such a variety of food for only around $30. WHAT A DEAL!!!! Overall, I support King Jade alot!!! Food quality is great, service is good and it's CHINESE FOOD!!!!! King Jade has always had the best oriental food in the area, however, it was not somewhere that you'd like to go sit and have dinner until they recently did it over. They've added a sushi bar, with full liquor bar as well, and completely redecorated. It's warm and welcoming, and was VERY busy last Friday night when my daughter and I went. It's definitely the best Chinese around - not that there is much to choose from. They do well with their portions and I have never had an order messed up or done poorly. Their sushi is actually not bad at all and they have a full bar now so those that like drinks will enjoy that. I usually get the food delivered but the few times I have sit in the service was fast and not bad for broken English. I have definitely had better Chinese food but they do a few things very well, like the Crab Rangoon, the hot and sour soup, the General Tso and most of their beef dishes are quite good. Their Pad Thai was surprisingly yummy as well, and everything here will feed you for two meals at LEAST. If there were more competition I may give them one or a half less star, but I think it's good to support your local businesses and I really don't want to see the only decent Chinese food that delivers go away :) read more

We are regulars, as we're there almost every other Friday night. We mostly go for the mai tais and company, but we've been enough now to know that there are some good selections on the menu. But don't expect gourmet chinese food or anything! The service can sometimes be frustrating, because even though it is a small space with few tables for dine-in, the waitresses sometimes seem overwhelmed. They are always VERY busy on a Friday night, so expect to wait for a table. The take-out orders seem to be never-ending. I'd recommend the ham fried rice and salt & pepper wings, along with any of the Lo Mein meals. The mango chicken is excellent as well. I gave it 4 stars because although we love getting a group to go there and always have a great time, I wouldn't say it is because of the food, drinks or service. Best Chinese Restaurant in the area. Most authentic among all (being asian)... And pretty consistent and clean. Favorite dishes: Pan Fried Chinese Angel Hair Noodles with Beef, Green jade, Beef Basil Fried rice, spring rolls, Chicken with eggplant in garlic sauce, pan fried bean curd with mixed veggies, and my hubby's ultimate favorite is General Gao's chicken and in the winter, the beef noodle soup with yaki-soba noodles. Overall, we had a very pleasant experience at Jade King. Our server was attentive and very conscientious about delivering food to order. We made a special request to not include onions or scallions in the Chicken Fried Rice and our server was right on top of that request. My friends and I come here at least a couple times a month. The drinks are always very good (and strong) and so is the food. The also offer some of the best sushi in the area without traveling up to Worcester. Only down fall is that it's a very small location (it used to be take out only) so on Friday nights and weekends it fills up very quick and there's not much of a waiting area so you are often left standing there awkwardly trying to avoid eye contact without the other patrons. read more

I've lived in this area for a while and have struggled to find the go to Chinese restaurant that is close enough to get take out from and last week i found it! I could not believe how great the food was at King Jade! when i first walked in the tables were filled with happy customers, which is a huge sign that the food is great because how often do you walk into a take out Chinese restaurant and find customers dining in?? the restaurant was very clean and the staff was extremely nice! my parents are egg roll experts and they were very happy with the egg rolls as for me, if i Chinese restaurant has good lomein than i'm sold.. Good Chinese Food. I tend to order same menu of dishes Beef Chow Foon, Eggplant, General Gau's Chicken, Egg Foo Yong, and Combo appetizer platter. Sometimes eat there, more often a take out. Service when I dined in was fine. Can't speak to the sushi. I am judgmental on Chinese food, it is a 4 star for this area but a 3 star against places I prefer for Chinese food. After moving to the area last fall, I ventured out to find my new neighborhood restaurants. (Pizza is a loss around here). As for chinese, I was fortunate to find King Jade first. They deliver, even once when it was snowing (lightly). King Jade has THE Best wonton soup I've ever had. The wontons are stuffed with either a ground beef mix or a pork filling and have flavor. The soup itself has huge slice of pork in it and vegetable you can actually recognize. The first time I had it, I was actually nervous about eating it because I thought they screwed up my order, as I've never seen wonton soup that color and with so much good stuff int it. I've since gone there for just the soup on numerous occasions. My typical entres are the pepper steak, general gao's chicken, and some sezchuan spicy dishes with shrimp,etc. For the most part the food is great but the one item that I rate a chinese restaurant on is the egg rolls and at King Jade, they are horrible. The one item I have always ordered at any and every chinese restaurant I've ever been to is intollerably horrible. Hence the 3 stars. A bit about my tastes: What I look for in chinese food is flavor, not just mass quantities of food. The general gaos is tasty, one place stands out as much better but considering the options in the area, this is my place. Please fix your egg rolls and you'll be a 4 star for sure. BTW: also stopped in for Sushi. It was good but overpriced considering the dining room has crowded seating and lends itself to be loud. Service favors take out and seemed to wait forever. We ate fast just to get away from the loud children sitting next to us. Needless to say we didnt enjoy that experience. read more

Horrible, horrible service. I moved to town about a year ago and decided to visit for the first time. We stood at the door for ten min without so much as an acknowledgment. We figured we would seat ourselves and look at the paper menus. When a server finally came over we were told we couldn't order off that menu, even though they let us sit there reading it for another ten min without saying anything. The food came out quickly enough however our server was also horrible. We had to wait and ask for refills, sauce, and even the check. The food was OK but over priced. The crab rangoon was quite good. The steamed wontons were not good at all. The dough they use was far too chewy. The main dish of noodles took a long time coming out and had the same doughy constitution as the wontons, but was tasty nonetheless. The bar and keno set up gives the place somewhat of a seedy feel. The location is in a strip mall. Parking is a little tight, but there is plenty of space in an adjacent supermarket lot. Overall, just average. read more
