I swear I've driven by them a million times and never went in. Last night I did just that and wish I hadn't waited so long. I LOVED IT! Small and comfy atmosphere, quick and excellent service and absolutely delicious food! I started with a cup of wonton soup. I couldn't imagine getting a BOWL unless it was my ENTIRE meal because the cup alone was a BIG portion... a delicious broth PACKED with carrots, pea pods, big dumpling sized and shaped wontons and slices of pork. Soul warming deliciousness! I chose an order of shrimp egg foo yung for my meal. 3 huge portions slathered in gravy. Sorry I'm overusing the word but absolutely DELICIOUS! I don't know where my sudden craving/obsession for egg foo yung came from but theirs is TOP NOTCH! I'll definitely be returning to have it again some time! They are a bit pricier than the other places but 100% worth it because the quality is above and beyond! I'd give they well more than 5 stars if I could! Great all around experience! read more

This has been my favorite local Chinese food place for YEARS. I will say, I'm not a huge fan of their fried rice or boneless spareribs & their chicken fingers can be a hit or miss. But everything else I've had is pretty good. For lunch the order day, I got a lunch special which comes with your choice of rice or lo mein- I chose steamed rice and a side- I chose chicken fingers. Their crab rangoons are my favorite and their beef teriyaki is great. The chicken fingers were pretty good today and the rice tasted fresh. Their prices have gone up, like everywhere else. I still like the food so I'm willing to pay for it. Everyone I've interacted with there is nice. They even do online ordering now (with a service charge). I always get take out but the restaurant has a bar and a few tables if you wanted to eat in. The parking lot can be tough though because there's a few other businesses and a new restaurant that just opened vying for spots, too. read more

Had the worst experience in a long time at this awful establishment. The food is absolutely awful! I ordered a hot and sour soup .....a standard and it was neither hot(spicy), nor sour. The temperature was hot but the soup had the flavor equivalent to a dry packet of knor mixed into a teaspoon of Lawry's. Upon politely telling our waitress about the very unsatisfactory soup, she proceeded to argue with me about it. Did not apologize or even off another selection. She left the mostly uneaten soup in my face and said that "everyone has different tastes". Then the fried rice came to the table and it looked like a pile of *h#@! Dripping in soy sauce and nearly black in color. I have never seen such a sad excuse for rice! All said and done I was charged for the soup.......which I had kindly placed on the table next to me after telling her it was not good. Bad service. Bad food. And very expensive for the slop they are slinging here. I've worked in restaurants my whole life and I have a ton of empathy for those in the industry. Furthermore, my tolerance level is extremely high in most situations. I even mae sure the waitress was tipped 15 percent......low by my standards. That being said I left King Jade feeling absolutely furious. Mostly over a 5 dollar soup and some bad food, but completely upset by the lack of customer service, disregard for my feelings, and rotten attitude from the waitress. Did not enjoy this place. Picked it up and the guy behind the counter was nice and the inside of the place was standard looking. The food however was not very good. Extremely expensive for what you get. Wouldn't go back. I tried nine different things and only the curry beef was good (despite the runny sauce). The sauces on the dishes are very thin and watery. Many had very little flavor. Nothing comes with white rice (like other places give you white rice with beef and broccoli). No where on their website menu does it say the dishes don't come with white rice; so you can't plan ahead and order it. (With the prices of the individual dishes you'd think they'd come with white rice.) Their large boneless spare ribs are $18 but you only get a pint. Makes you wonder how big the size small is. This disappointment could have been avoided, except their menu doesn't list the actual size of anything. I shouldn't have to ask a million questions; this information should be readily available. Small and large mean nothing when there is no reference. read more

It's 4 pm - Wednesday. I picked up an order of appetizer/combo #3 today. When I got it home, I found the beef teriyaki to be very dried out as though it had been left over or sitting around for a long time - from lunch maybe?? The other items were 'ok'. I mention the day (Wednesday) because I've noticed in the past if I order anything Sunday thru Wednesday, the food is always sub-par. Ordering Thursday thru Saturday (when they're busier?) the food is usually very good - at least freshly cooked, not left over. Beware! read more

I would give a negative review if possible. As I live in Uxbridge I have been here a number of times and have viewed its slow degeneration to the point Of my never returning or recommending it at all. Food is tasteless and over priced now. The prices have increased dramatically and would be worth it if the food was not now so terrible. And the mai tai drink is pre mixed but is bitter from standing around so long. Undrinkable. Go the extra mile to Mandarin in Milford, or Yama fuji where the drinks are not yet concocted as a pre mix. I will never order or return to this establishment and waste my time or money read more

Was shopping at Shaw's grocery when I saw this restaurant. We went there tonight for dinner. Drive all the way from Webster MA. I ordered the orange beef and fried rice. The rice was sooo dark and wreaked of soy. My orange beef was sooo tough that even a knife would not cut through it. My food appears to have been cooked before (pre-cooked) and then some jar sauce put on it, as it did not taste anything like orange. The rice tasted like it was made a few days ago and then reheated. Yuk. My partners food was the same except his rice was missing and his hot and sour soup was neither spicy or sour. I tasted the soup, it tasted like packaged bouillon with cornstarch. Our bill was over $80, and of course I left a good tip. To think I drove 40 min to get crap food that (I hate to say this...) even MC Donald's could have done a better job. I was forced to come here because I learned the hard way that China P is closed on Wednesdays. So I went up the road a bit. The restuarant side has a small but very clean seating area. Every table was packed. I ordered three vegetable platters and a quart of steamed rice. They told me that it would take 15 minutes but it only took 10 minutes. Food was hot and it cost about $38. With the portion size, it ended up feeding 5 people without anyone leaving hungry. Cashier was friendly and quick. Entryway was clean and bar area/cash register area was clean. I plan to come back here again and order up a few other menu items before I think about giving it a coveted 5-Star rating. I look forward to coming back here. read more

I'm changing my rating for a few reasons: We have had improved interactions with management, particularly with regards to ego and accepting responsibility for order mixups when it was their fault; the general level of customer service has improved to generally include curtesy and basic manners... and lastly, communication between whoever takes the order and whoever fills the order has smoothed out somewhat. So, to management: thank you, and remember-- happy customers means more business, which means happy employees, which means happy customers. While Whitinsville is not any great city, you have been charged with the responsibility of being one of the few Chinese restaurants in the area. This is a big responsibility, and as it happens all too often, when local restaurants fail to serve their community with professionalism, high standards for cleanliness and quality of food, they close... which then forces locals to go to places like Boston or Providence for the same meal the local business failed to produce... They charged us 50 bucks our meal was half there. We were missing two items along with the rice was dry over cooked and one of the meals was only half done I politely called them explaining everything and they were not apologetic nor did they offer to redo the meal or give us what was missing. Orange Chicken shouldn't be difficult to execute, but when you use a sub par "chicken" it becomes something of an impossibility to make it taste good. Typically most Chinese restaurants will use an all white meat product. However what is used here is a dark meat product with fat and valves mixed in. At $13.00 this isn't what should be expected. Great spot if looking to get that Americanized Chinese food fix! My boyfriend lived a half a mile down the road from this gem and soon became a regular for mai tais and a flaky crab rangoon. I have been a patron since they opened way back when. The food at the beginning of the week is lacking - noodles overcooked, vegetables look like they've been overcooked, fresh taste is not there. I wonder if they have a different chef on the weekends or the food is fresher because of a more rapid turnover. We got home from the hospital with our new baby and decided to order from here like we always do. I ordered the same things as usual and my husband picked up. He wondered why it was so expensive but thought I must have ordered differently. When he got home I called King Jade and asked why the price difference. They messed up and gave us large everything instead of small. I asked for a refund on the price difference. Long story short, I was told no by the manager because we had the food at home already. They are in a strip mall, and there isn't much of a dining room, so they do mostly pick up orders. The egg rolls are perfect and the chicken terriyaki is never, ever fatty.
