This has been my third time at Jade Garden and I've been continually impressed. I live in Milford and was having a hard time finding quality Chinese food in the area. I found a great place in Jade Garden. The food itself tastes fresh. Nothing is too fatty and the fried items are not overtly oily. Their appetizers like beef teriyaki, crab rangoon, spring rolls, and chicken/shrimp fingers are all amazing. Their soups are also fantastic, I definitely recommend the wonton and egg drop soups. The prices are a little high but the food quality is worth it. It doesn't look like much on the inside but this is definitely a place to try! read more

I grew up in Upton. I used to spend my free lunch time at Jade Garden while in high school with my friends. I remember helping the couple who owns it's son with his homework when he was like 8. Today we had some free time over the holiday break and decided to take a little road trip back to Upton. Our first stop was Jade Garden. Before we got off 495 we called our order in and I honestly got teared up hearing the familiar voice answer the phone. We placed our order for way too much sesame chicken ( the best around ) and swung by a few local spots before getting our order. I haven't been to Upton in 7 years and I was happy to see the most that had changed are a bunch of sidewalks and a lot of the houses getting new siding. We swung but Nipmuc and I pointed out the few landmarks. We went down Glen Ave and he was delighted by the bonkers up and down zig zag it is. We tried to go to Country Sooper but it was closed. We went by Memorial which looks totally different and past the Grange where I told him about the blocks long line for the haunted house. I'm getting off track. Upton was my home for so long. I've been away for 15 year and 7 years or so fully since my parents moved. It was wonderful to come back. Jade Garden is exactly the same. I mean that in the best way possible. Same recipes. Do not eat here!! We were looking to try a new local place and read a few decent reviews. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. To start the menu online prices were very incorrect. Second, it was the worst Chinese food we have ever eaten. It was so greasy. The chicken fingers were so dark they were either cooked in really old dirty oil or cooked and re heated in oil for 2nd time. The lo mein was also super greasy and was loaded with as many onions as noodles. The duck sauce was also a strange shade of brown. The dumplings were so doughy and greasy you could see a stream of grease in the bottom of the container. We had stomach pains within 10 minutes of sampling the food. Great food decent prices, the only thing is they always give very little chilli oil, also the food is not spicy at all.

The building seems so tiny but it is really a mediam sised place with decorative paintings such as the great wall of china. The food is extremely good i recomend the plain loemein and the vegetables in gravy. But the service is slow but i think it is very worth it. read more

Chinese food is a must and finding a quality place is essential. We discovered this place about a month ago. Hopkinton doesn't have any great Chinese, so we branched out and found Jade in the next town over. We have been here now three times in the last month and have not had a bad meal. Their General G is spot on and the Hot and Sour soup is excellent. Also good is the Shezwan (sp?) spicy Chicken. read more

We always liked the food but recently the texture of the chicken and beef in all the dishes is terrible. I believe it's really a soy or tofu meat based substitute. I always enjoyed the beef with pea pods but will never order it again. We even noticed the difference in the fried rice. read more

I can't believe I have never reviewed Jade Garden before. I grew up down the street from here and whenever I come home to visit it is my first stop. I wish all Chinese restaurants could live up to Jade Garden but I guess it is just a very special gem. So delicious and affordable too! Definitely get scallion pancakes and spicy Szechuan green beans. Family style bean curd is so good too. I get general gao's tofu a lot which is tasty but it could use a little more broccoli or other veggies. Also moo shu is delicious I get it with tofu and no egg and sometimes order a couple of extra pancakes. Also remember to order rice because it doesn't come with the food automatically which is a little weird but whatever! Jade Garden is the best. read more

This is one of the cleanest Asian take-out style place that I have ever been to. It's actually quite pleasant to sit in and eat, even though boyfriend and I typically go the take-out route. The folks who own and work at the place are nice, but not super ovr-the-top friendly. They are always willing to adjust their menu for me. They don't have schezuan style tofu and veggies on the menu, but were happy to make it up special just for me. They did the same when I wanted some tofu general style. One time when my vehicle had mechanical issues the nice lady dropped my food off on the way home for me, even though they do not do deliver. That is exceptional! Was excited (and also nervous) to try a new Chinese place after moving away from a pretty good one (cheoy lees 2). I think finding a new and competent Chinese food joint is just as important as finding a new barber when you move to a new town. With that being said, this place certainly fills the void. Food tasted hot and fresh and was made super quick. Crab Rangoon's and general's chicken were on par with other food Chinese places in the area. Heard they were caught with some bad food once by the health department but they have always treated me right and at a huge portion super cheap kind of way. I have been here 2 times and each time,I was ignored. when i needed something, ( glass of water, silverware, check etc.) I had to go to the cashiers desk to ask for it. one was lunch when i was alone i the restaurant. the other time was a Monday night, again it was slow. they mess up my order. completely forgetting items. they are slow, rude and act like they don't want me in their store. going here was a waste of time and money. the food was terrible also. read more
