Listen KK powers that be.... this is my neighborhood grocery store and while I love you and your competitive prices I have to just give a couple of suggestions.... 1) either hire someone to recover the outrageous amount of shopping carts that asshole shoppers are too lazy to return to the side of the building or 2) put in a couple cart return areas so as to free up the first 30 parking stalls that are ALWAYS laden with rogue carts 3) for all the asshole shoppers, just get both will ya Seeing as you aren't going to help pay for the damages done to my car (park at your own risk policy) it really believe I speak for the masses here. I work in the area, so I figured I'd stop in for a few things. What a bizarre layout! It made it so hard to find what I was looking for, and once I did, they had such a crappy selection, and were low on stock. Only one bag of sunflower seeds on the shelf? No flavored ones, just one bag? The only reason I give this place two stars Is because it was clean, and they had a decent selection in the international aisle read more

Let's start with the pros. They have a nice selection of bakery items and the staff is pretty friendly. Although over priced, their meat always looks fresh. Now the cons. Their fruit selection is flavorless. Watermelon, cantaloupe, honeydew, etc. they all taste like water. They are WAY overpriced....EVERYTHING. Their fish doesn't always look fresh. I have encountered salmon that looked brown instead of pink. If you need it, they have a restroom but I would hold off because it is usually discussing. Pee on the toilet seats, toilet paper on the floor, no soap and smells like a porta potty. One full cart at my preferred grocery store will be about $150 but here, half a cart is about $200. I go here when I don't have time to go anywhere else because it's right by my house but I advise any newbies to stay away. read more

Convenient grocery shopping on Deer Park avenue in the Sunset City shopping center. It is by far not the cheapest place to do your weekly shopping, but in a pinch this place is good if you live or work close to the area. Like most King Kullens, it sells Boars Head coldcuts and has a nice meat section. their seafood department is usually very quiet, as with most of the store, but they generally have what you need, and will give you a raincheck on sale items they are out of. Customer Service is OK here, I hate the self-checkout lines and would rather have the ditzy cashier ring up my items then me having to fight the machine. Be careful in the very busy parking lot, since most of the soccer moms will not see you as they are too focused on the Red Mango, the hair salon, the nail place and tanning place that are also in the shopping center! read more

I'm really surprised by some of the prior reviews, but I notice that some of the reviews are old, and maybe the store has improved since then. My review: the store is always clean, no clutter in the aisles. I love the self-bagging registers-very rarely a wait and their is always someone there to help if you have a problem scanning. Their produce is always fresh (thank goodness they got rid of Green Giant Carrots-they were the worst). I bought both pineapple and cantaloupes over the past three weeks, and I am really surprised at how good they are, this being the off-season. I find that Sunday is not a good time to shop for produce, anywhere, as the supply is low and substandard. The meat dept is always stocked well and the butchers have made special cuts for me several times, and seemed happy to help. The manager, Mr Murphy, has also helped me several times and says hello everytime I am in there. On the negative side, there isn't a huge selection of certain items. They carry everything, but maybe not every variety of each brand. Truth be told, I have the same problem in BJs...I can find a certain brand of peanut butter, but only creamy, nut chunky. A second annoyance would be the placement of the weekly fliers and the baskets. The fliers are after you enter the first set of doors, then you stop for a flier and hope no one behind you hits you in the butt with their wagon, then you go through a second set of doors. Why not just put therack of flyers inside the store, so someone can pull over and take one without holding everyone else up? Also, the baskets should be closer to the entrance, so I can take one and go straight down the first aisle to shop, not have to go over to the registers, sometimes cutting through the lines, to get a basket and then go back to the first aisle. Maybe put them next to the deli kiosk, along with the circulars? The kiosk for the deli is a huge plus for me. I can shop while they get my order ready, then grab it and go. Ok, rant over. Overall, I go to a King Kullen almost exclusively, because it's NOT huge, and things are easy to find, making it a time saver. read more

Horrible place to shop ! They are way over priced ... Compare to their local competition.... Customer service is horrible You can never find someone to ask a question.... They do a horrible job at changing their food signs inside the store so you will definitely be over charged at the register !!! I have given this place more then a few tries I am done ! Don't bother coming to this terrible store ! read more

Store isn't clean. Staff is surly. Prices are high. Produce is limp. Bakery is good though! Doesn't balance out all the other negatives. And, pick up the carts! They are all over the parking lot. read more
