They didn't rush my mom at all and helped her with all of the questions she had. They deserve all the praise. Then my mom was seen by Dr. Quiba for the vision exam. I felt that Dr. Quiba could be a bit more patient with older patients with bad vision. There's no need for snippiness towards polite, older patients who have worries about their worsening visions. There's no need for an annoyed look when the patient's family members ask questions. We as a society could do away with that sort of behavior. :( It wouldn't have been a concern if it was just me that was going in for a vision exam, but I'd want my mom to be treated with respect and kindness that she shows everyone else around her. I'd recommend taking this review into consideration if you're planning on taking your parents or older family member in for an exam.

The customer service is now shockingly poor. Just getting the initial appointment seemed ridiculous while the person scheduling me seemed to be rolling her eyes when I had the nerve to be questioning what their latest and earliest appointments are. They are close to my house but I work close to Hillsboro which can be tricky to get to or from sometimes. Saturday appointments are not available and even regular appointments are booked out for weeks - perhaps they are so busy that they just don't care? I genuinely do not drive around during the day. I also was not aware they have half of Beaverton under construction so I was running late by about 10 minutes. The entire lobby was full of people and the person at the front had a conversation with the eye person who I think my appointment was with.... the eye person glared weirdly at me. Was it my cane? I was super confused and trying to get to the counter around all the people storming their counter. The person at the counter had wandered away, then over five minutes later they come back finally to say I was now over 15 minutes past my appointment so he would have to reschedule me? I get it if I actually was THAT late and seriously, making the appointment the first time with a person talking down to me was already challenging weeks before but this just seemed like they overbooked and were finding an excuse to just get rid of me. Thanks, got the memo. Oh, look...here's another place my insurance recommends down the road with available appointments today. Bye...

Poor quality final product after seven weeks. Barbara at the front desk is kind and professional. Detailed account: I ordered two identical frames with lenses. One pair turned out perfect, the other had mis-shapen lenses. I had a difficult time convincing Diane the optician of the error. She returned them to the lab for redo, they came back with the same issue. I returned to visually verify this since Diane could not see the problem the first time, only to find that Diane had taken it upon herself to CANCEL THE ORDER, refund my copay, and send me out the door. Dr. McBride defended her actions by saying "You frustrated her". With only two days left to use my VSP benefits, I had no choice but to return to the clinic to restart the pair of glasses. They returned with the same mis-shapen lenses. I had to settle for a substandard product. This took seven weeks.
