A newer laundromat in town...I think it's been open about 6 months. Located on South King St. and Pensacola St. Dedicated parking lot adjacent with entrance/exit on Pensacola. Pricier than most; there are 3 different sizes of washing machines. Plenty of washers and dryers. Load a proprietary card utilizing a CC or cash to use machines. If you have a washer and dryer or don't...or one is broken...or you wanna wash some extra dirty items elsewhere - then King Laundromat is a good choice. New, clean, and enough table space. read more

While visiting Hawai'i, my husband and I decided to wash our clothes before leaving, as we weren't headed straight home after our vacation. We came across King Laundromat on Yelp and decided to give them a try. One of the perks is that they have their own designated parking lot, which was convenient. The interior was spacious and clean. Initially, we were a bit confused about the process, but another customer kindly showed us the way. Although King Laundromat isn't the cheapest option, they have everything you need while you are there. We were pleasantly surprised by how quickly our clothes were washed and dried. A large, clean laundromat with a complicated payment system. Newcomers like us were easily spotted by the regulars because of the inordinate amount of time it took to figure out how to create a laundry card from the payment machine. Finally a store employee came over to help. She also shared a tip about how the dryer worked - you need to insert the card multiple times to get the right amount of minutes you want to dry your clothes. This aside, the laundromat was clean, the machines were well maintained, and there were plenty of washers and dryers for everyone. read more

Saturday 4/4 at 5:30 pm - Made the laundry attendant aware of the soiled bandaid on the floor (assuming he'd care about proper sanitation as people are in his establishment to there to keep their things clean after all), he kicks it about a foot further (pretty much nowhere) then says 'don't worry about, the cleaning crew will pick it up'. Note: no cleaning crew in sight. My advice... don't wash ur clothes there, go to the other laundromat down the street!! read more

Clean start... Ya to this laundromat though I actually never really visited one but with an experience at home with trying to get some linens done our washer wasn't really having it as it's getting old and large items are much more difficult to wash without breaking them decided not to risk it and remembered that this newbie just right across from Kaiser on Pensacola. With decent amount of free parking right beside the building entrance to the parking is on Pensacola makes it so convenient especaily the time it does take to get your load done just knowing that you have a place to relax and get it done makes it that much more bearable. What's great is the system here is a bit different as you need to obtain a laundry card and load it on them to use the facility which is pretty high tech in my opinion and wonder that if other places do the same as well though losing your card can be a personal issue but not needing any coins or bills does make it easy as you can charge and earn points as you get your errands done and finishing it all is the best wash of all. Better customer service and better surveillance cameras. I was attacked and knocked over along with my wheelchair and all the owner would do was bark at me to leave . The cops actually helped me off the floor and when the attempted to get the copy of the videos nothing was accessible. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. Yes, this laundromat is big and clean, but the owner completely ruins the experience. He is unbelievably rude and disrespectful -- like you're bothering him just by walking in and giving him business. For the prices he charges, the bare minimum should be decent customer service, but you won't find that here. This place is also way overpriced for what you get. Save your money and your sanity. Go down the street to the other laundromat or even the 24-hour one on Judd & School Street -- they're much friendlier and actually appreciate their customers. Don't support someone who treats people this way. Avoid this place. read more

I like the location and cleanliness of the laundry mat. They had a vendor machine for laundry products, a laundry card you have to get and load with money, and large laundry baskets. The prices were affordable. For 2 loads and 2 dryers, it cost me $20. I did not have full loads and I spent $4 a load for drying. It took me less than 90-minutes. The smallest washers were $5.50 a load and the dryers were 50¢ every 5 mins. The area is safe and secured. I was able to wash and dry my clothes stress free and get in and out in no time. read more

Very new and clean facility with air conditioning. We have tried other laundry mats in Waikiki and this one is unmatched by far. Clothes washed and dried nicely no wrinkles and clothes kept their original color and form, looked new still! Affordable and convenient with the provided laundry re-load card. They offer carts and places to fold clothes we were complete with all loads in less than 40min plus folding time. Family friendly and safe location. Limited parking. read more

Wonderful commercial grade washing machines that come in two sizes and two types of dryers. The staff is usually in the office, but they are available when you need help. You can purchase small boxes of detergent if you run out. On the day after Christmas, I didn't realize how late it was when I added about 30 minutes to the dryer. There was still 21 minutes to go when it was closing time. The manager looked at the time and said it was ok. I dried my laundry for about ten more minutes before I pulled my laundry out so that the poor guy could go home. My laundry was dry enough. He even left the chain link at the parking entry to allow me to leave. I appreciated his kindness, especially after a hectic Christmas. read more

I've been to most laundromat's in Honolulu and favor this centrally located one that is a sister to the original Kapahulu branch. Pricing is a little higher here but their parking lot is a decent size and dedicated to the Laudromat only. Machines are newer, although there are only two load sizes, large or medium. Another reviewer mentioned three different sizes which is incorrect. Over the period of time that I've been patronizing this locale I've noticed it getting slightly run down as more people frequent this place. I've also noticed that some people doing their laundry don't necessarily cleanup after they're done; which can be discouraging to others that share this place. TAKE CARE OF THESE GEMS PLEASE!! With everything said, I would have given this place 5 stars if not for my concern after reading about the assault incident posted on 11/30/25. Perhaps that's the reason for the King Street door being locked from entry now? Unfortunately these kinds of things happen in urban areas these days and one must be alert to other people and your surroundings period. read more

The laundromat is clean with new machines. The facility itself is very clean and quiet with easy parking. Staff was also very friendly. Love this laundry mat. It's always well maintained and easy to pay with the card rather than always having to inconvenience yourself with coins or cash. The only thing is that the smaller washers are $5.50 and the bigger ones cost somewhere around $11 but for how well this place is maintained I don't complain. 10/10 recommend this place for laundry. I went to this new laundromat on the mauka corner of Pensacola and King this morning. First, their prices are slightly cheaper than the Ena Rd. Laundry site (pls see my review there if you're interested). Here at King Laundromat, there was no need for an employee to be on duty constantly since everything seemed to be running very smoothly! Furthermore, I found the parking lot to be sufficient and there were also more than enough washers and dryers in this establishment. We love this place! Our family has searched everywhere for a clean and comfortable place for us to wash our clothes. This laundromat has amazing A/C and a lot of parking! It is located conveniently near Kaiser hospital / McKinley high school / & Ala Moana. It looks like they will also be opening a cafe soon with coffee and food!
