Usually we wash our clothes at home but now with a really tight schedule with doctor appointments, treatment and work were mostly out of the house more often so we temporary have to start using the laundromat. We arrived at the nuuanu laundry at 7:00 p.m while the value was expensive, almost $7 to use the washing machine me and mom forgot to get soap detergents. We were blessed that 2 samaritan people super friendly to let us borrow some free or charge though we were willing to pay blessed. It's a decent laundromat with plenty of dryers, but the downside is that this place needs more washing machines. They only have 7 washers i think adding 3 more washing machine's would make this place the best laundry place on that area of nuuanu, kalihi and liliha. read more

To start off with this complaint, I am a loyal customer at this business and come here ever 1-2 weeks, so I was appalled by the way I was treated. On 6/10/26, I used one of your laundry machines, which initially appeared to be functioning properly. After inserting my money and starting the cycle, I returned around the expected time the wash should have been completed, only to find the machine stuck on 22 minutes. After it eventually stopped spinning, the door remained locked and displayed an "ERR" (error) message. It took several minutes before it could even be opened, and my clothes were not properly washed--still mostly dry--indicating that the machine did not run a full wash cycle. I called the number on a sign that's actually in the facility and an older Korean gentleman answered then I began to explain the issue, but I felt rushed off the phone and that my concern was not being taken seriously. Shortly after, I attempted to discuss the situation with one of your employees (an older korean lady). Unfortunately, instead of helping resolve the issue, she raised her voice at me while I calmly tried to explain what happened. She insisted that I had to wait 24 hours to report the issue, citing a sign that I had never seen posted anywhere in the facility. She repeatedly said things like, "$7 isn't a lot of money," and "If it says 'ERR,' then you didn't spend your money,"--neither of which addressed the actual problem. Her behavior was unprofessional and dismissive, especially considering that my money was taken and the service I paid for was not delivered. To add onto that, they usually have: *Roaches everywhere *Missing tiles around the place *Broken buttons on most machines (has tape covering the buttons) *The machines will cause puddles and they just leave towels in front of the leaky machine, waiting for an accident *The sink I'm the back doesn't work well and on some days it smells like piss by the trash can If you ever lose money from this place, they'll spend like 10 mins trying to persuade you that it was your fault. If you know you're right, then stand your ground. I also recommend that your machines be regularly maintained and that staff be trained on proper customer service and conflict resolution. read more

Needed 2 jeans hemmed before leaving on my trip. I dropped it off Wednesday and picked it up Friday at noon. $15 each. The Korean gentleman originally said Pick one next week but I urged him I needed it before Friday night. He was nice enough to say OK come Friday at lunch time! Kudos to Samchon(uncle)! Proper customer service. Korean owner/old woman is just plain mean--not nice. I walked up to the window/counter to ask a question. I said "hello" she turned around and had this scowl on her face. So I repeated, "hello" --she just stared me down. So, I thought perhaps she doesn't speak English, so I asked "do you speak English? "--still staring and she looked annoyed with me. I decided to leave considering she acted like she didn't care to have my business. For the record, my question was if it would be ok to wash areas rugs. Cut and dry - it's a laundromat! They are decently priced and 24 hours! What more do you need to explain? If you suck at laundry, well that's your problem. But my laundry comes out clean like it's supposed too. Story time: I had to do two different loads, so I grabbed my two baskets out and put them by the washers I planned on using. It was kinda busy, but not too bad. Then I grabbed my quarters from the machine. I opened to check the two machines I planned on using and put the pods inside. I turned my back to load one in the washer, then I grabbed my other one to load. That's when some random lady shouts at me because she had her 1 white shirt in the load I was loading (color). I was so confused because I had put pods inside and knew it was empty and she was upset that I was using more than one washer. An older woman stated "Good for you! That's what you get!" As I turned, she wasn't talking to me! Then a gentleman (her husband I guessed) told the crazy lady, "Don't do that here! You're using how many washers for just one piece of clothing! You're wasting and we have customers waiting!" I'm glad I wasn't in trouble. The crazy lady just pouted in the corner acting salty. Kudos to the owners! To that stupid lady that tried to yell at me... let's not meet again.. or just go away! read more

Came here to wash my duvet in the commercial washer dryers. The pros of this laundromat is that it is 24hrs, conveniently located on Nuuanu ave and offer wash/fold services for drop off and pickup. The prices are comparable to some other laundromats (a couple cents cheaper too). There are security surveillance cameras setup that help monitor the place because it is open at all hours and the owners keep the spot well lit. A negative is the parking situation-There are only a few spots located right in front and street parking along Nuuanu Ave. They do offer 2 quarter machines if you need to make change. The waiting game: Most patrons load their washes and wait in their vehicles until it's done. If you're feeling hungry Sams and Bankok Chef are located next door. Overall, the wash and drying times don't take too long if you have something to keep yourself busy. I was in-and-out in about an hour. read more

Decided to update my review and add a star based on the fact I've been here 3x in the last week and have made other observations which i think merit it. Weekday at 8pm, had a few other people doing laundry but i didnt have to wait for any machines. Parking was rough i illegally parked or you can park at walgreens and buy something and sneak over to do laundry. Weekday morning at 8am, i lucked out and got parking in front no wait for machines it was empty. HOWEVER..they started to fill the machines with laundry from Korean Airlines by the time my load was done at 845am majority of the machines were taken. Dont go here after 830am weekday it will be hard to get a machine. Weekday at 530pm got parking and had no problem getting a machine it was empty. I didnt get yelled at by a Korean lady thank god i think its the owners mother who is doing that:( they need to keep her in check or will continue to get bad reviews. They hired a polynesian lady and I've seen her cleaning up, emptying lint screens, sweeping etc.. So i think thats great. I didnt see any unfavorable people the 3 times i was there, just honest people doing their laundry. Hopefully my washing machine will continue to work but if it breaks ill be back;) read more

I love their commercial washing machines. The many times I come here, it hasn't been busy. I'm able to do two loads side by side all under an hour. The loads take 25 minutes to wash and another 24 minutes to dry. Their dryer goes by increments of 4 at $0.25 per 4 minutes so I spent $1.25 for 24 minutes of drying time which was enough drying time for my big load of laundry. read more

I've been a regular customer here for quite some time and i like that this laundromat stays open 24 hours. Their prices is reasonable. The coin exchange machine is located on the service side mauka of the place. They offer laundry services during the day, i have tried it only once but they were good. The owner is one funny lady i'll tell that and if you're here when she is, you should listen to her crack jokes. There's a few homeless people that hangs around here at night. While I was grabbing quarters from the machine, an old Asian lady started shouting at me saying " no wash, no quarters" I literally just walked in, how am I going to wash with no quarters ? I'm a very nice understanding person but felt like she was judging me because of my clothing that I was wearing (long sleeve, shorts) she looked me up and down and kept repeating herself. They missplaced or stole my clothes. I have had 4 shirts stolen. All were custom shirts from London. I would take in 2 weeks of laundry and I was buying more shirts. Today I took in 10 shirts and only 6 were returned. DO NOT BRING ANY CLOTHES YOU WANT TO KEEP. I've been using this laundromat for almost 2 years now. I run my own massage business and have a lot of sheets to wash. When I first started out, I would take my dirty sheets and wash them myself at this laundromat. I wasted a few hours a week having to do this. Once I got more busy, I could no longer afford to spend 2-3 hours at the laundromat and then another hour folding everything, so I started using their drop-off service. Never looked back! My family has been loyal customers for 10+ years at this Laundromat. Kim & Dustin were basically my mama and papa when my grandma would send me to wash by myself (my grandma is a meanie) Although my grandma is a hell of a washer lol. She taught me to bring all of these item: -clorox wipes -lysol spray -2 rags -dryer sheets (Bounty) -tide -a cup of quarters -clothespins -hangers -and water First, you wash your rags. Then you go to the washer and spray the washer. Use plenty spray! (other peoples dirty clothes was in there brah!) Then, you wipe it down with one rag (your wash rag). Shake the clothes before you put it in the wash. Put your quarters in, let the water run, the 2 cap soap. When all the clothes is in, you grab the clorox wipes and you wipe the table you use! OUR table is the one to the left (if you're looking at the laundromat, the 2 tables) We've been using that table ever since lol. After you wipe the tables, you get another wipes, and wipe the baskets. Turn the baskets upside down and let them dry. After the clothes pau wash, you spray and wipe the dryers (with the other rag) and you put dryer sheets, THEN the clothes. When the clothes pau dry, put it in the basket and bring it to the table and fold. IF clothes need ot hang, you hang it and pin it with clothespins. BOOOOOM KANANI! Clean clothes! Kim & Dustin watched over me when I was small to make sure I could do everything by myself and made sure nothing happened to me. Now that I'm older I watch over them. I clean up everyones rubbish that they throw around. I let her know if anything happened. They're so good to their customers, and people take advantage. Pretty soon shes gonna start putting hours on this laundromat. It's sad to see that people are robbing them and breaking their machines. You cant get any better laundromat on this island! One of my fellow Yelpers recommended Nuuanu Laundry. That was a good recommend. I had some dry cleaning done and the job was as good as my former drycleaners who closed a few months ago. It was a challenge finding a new place- but worth the trying. I just went back again. They do both laundry and dry cleaning. The wash and fold was also a good price; they charge by the pounds; minimum charge $10 for 8 pounds. The dry cleaning pricing is par; compared to others but it was very very well done. I went to do my laundry around 6:30 am, it was a small load so I didn't think I would be there for more than two hours. It's a small place and once my load was done in the washing machine I placed it in the dryer. But some of the dryers are out of service and I also chose an out of service dryer which wasn't labeled. At the end of the cycle, to my surprise, I had to find another dryer and pay more. The machines are coin operated, they have a change machine and their offices open at 8am but it is a 24 hour facility. read more
