I was immediately serviced by Lynn who was very delightful. I only went for a pedicure after work and enjoyed the vibe. Everyone was attentive and professional. Lynn engaged in conversation with me which I adored because I'm chatty. She did an excellent job on these hoofs that had not been touch in over a year due to illness. I will be returning. read more

I stopped into King Nail Salon in Midtown Detroit for a pedicure and was greeted right away with a warm welcome. The staff is very friendly and made me feel comfortable from the start. I signed in and waited about 15 minutes before being seated which was perfectly reasonable. They even offered me a drink while I waited which was a nice touch. My technician Kim was fantastic. I chose the jelly pedicure and she took her time worked gently and made the whole experience relaxing. She was friendly and really made sure I felt taken care of. The salon itself is spotless and well kept with a calm atmosphere. It was not crowded at all during my visit. Another big plus is that they have dedicated parking spots in the back which makes getting in and out super easy. Overall King Nail Salon delivered a great experience clean welcoming and professional. I will definitely be back for another pedicure soon. read more

This place was my go to until today... I pretty much pay the exact same rate every time I go because I'm pretty consistent as a human being... the same girl also typically does nails with a different design on each one... today, a young man did my nails and somehow for his lesser quality execution (that took considerably more time) it was $45 more than I've ever paid... and the man argued me down about it. Came in to this beautiful establishment for services that they offered for business 2x's. The first time I came in, the employees were having a good ole time with one another.....DELAYING my paid services. They did an ok job. 2nd visit, same deal, employees on the phone living it up while servicing me. What came from that is a warped nail finish, when I got home in bed, all my gel polish slid off onto my sheets. After paying $65 my expectations are far greater than the service I received. No ONE speaks any CLEAR english which makes things more challenging. Staff here is not FRIENDLY. They aren't mean either, but it's not how I like spending my money! The older lady who does feet is horrible. Im a vibe & energy person. The vibe pulled me, but the energy WON'T keep me here. I will not be coming back, even though its right in my area. Came in from out of town for wedding. Made an appointment for 3pm for my partner and I. They started on my partners nails 20mins post appointment, and it's now 3:51pm and they have yet to see me. No updates unless I ask and they just keep telling me "10 more mins". They are completely dismissive, rude and unaccommodating. No apology from anyone either. This place is a joke. Great experience! Saw they recently opened and decided to give them a try. It's a big place with a lot of chairs. I'm glad they open early so I was able to get in easily without a wait. They are very thorough with their pedicure and my shellac toes look great. My acrylic set came out great also! Love my nails. Thank you guys for a great experience. They DESTROYED MY NAILS! I came to this place when they first opened, and became a regular as it was convenient, new, clean, the prices were comparable and they were pretty fast. All good things, HOWEVER, that all changed when the guy who usually did an ok job with my nails continually used an electric nail file to remove my old shellac. The last time he did this he went to far and made my nails so thin and bendable that they were all broken within a week! I couldn't use my nails for anything as they were completely bending. I went back in to explain what he did and how I was hoping they could make it right, as I was a regular from the beginning, and was told it was MY FAULT for letting him use the E file! No apology or any kindness extended. Just excuses and rudeness. This is not a place that genuinely cares about their customers, only cabout making a quick buck. They want you in and out and don't care if they ruin your nails in the process. Bad buisness. They lost a loyal customer. read more

Watch out - I had a manicure and pedicure on Friday at King Nails. After my toes were painted I walked over to another nail station/person to have my fingers done. Just as he was finishing and I was about to put on my sneakers the gentleman tells me to wait bc the top coat had not been put on my toes. WHAT? I sat there the entire time my finger nails were being done, drying my toes. Why would anybody put on top coat at the very end as it's time to put shoes on? I had to leave without top coat and it just seemed really weird to not have painted the top coat while I was at the pedicure station. In addition, the woman at the pedicure station didn't understand English. I generally have no issues with that, however, I asked for round toe nails no less than 4 times. They came out square as square could be. She just didn't understand so when I got home I had to file my toes and add top coat. I will not be going back. read more
