Pretty darn good popsicles! Overall we tried chocolate sea salt, blueberry lemonade and orange cream. The first two were great; the orange cream had a strange aftertaste. This is perfect for a hot summer day. Overall the price was fair, the service was quick and friendly, and I would recommend to anyone! If there's one thing I would suggest is while they have a large selection of popsicle cocktails (which is a brilliant idea) they should try adding some popsicle mocktail option. My son, not understanding that a cocktail was an adult drink, was let down by his inability to order one. But, it got me thinking to how wonderful rainbow sherbet and sprite actually is together, and how something like that could make a great concept even better. This review is for King of Pops' walk-up window in Inman Park. It's conveniently located next to the Freedom Park Trail and the Atlanta BeltLine Eastside Trail. I've already reviewed a couple other King of Pops locations: the original cart spot at the corner of North Ave and North Highland (http://www.yelp.com/biz/king-of-pops-atlanta?hrid=t2sfJ4aVhMhxuzcGdVvS5g) and their cart spot at Decatur Square (http://www.yelp.com/biz/king-of-pops-decatur?hrid=YZB8FrsBu3gJkpT0xJKU1w). This was my first visit to their walk-up window. Since 2010, these guys have established themselves as the preeminent popsicle brand in Atlanta. They're popular and it's because their gourmet pops have creative flavors, using real, high-quality ingredients, that are consistently delicious. Along with this walk-up window, you can find King of Pops carts at various food truck parks, farmers markets, and festivals/events around town. In addition, King of Pops is carried by a growing number of metro Atlanta restaurants, cafes, and stores such as Willy's, Alon's, Octane, Fresh Market, and Whole Foods. For a complete list of locations, check out their web site at www.kingofpops.com. The address for the walk-up window says Elizabeth St, but the window is actually on Bernina Ave around the corner. Free street parking is available in the immediate area though spots are limited. I was told this is also where the King of Pops warehouse is. We stopped here on a Sunday evening and it was busy (the neighborhoods, Inman Park and Old Fourth Ward, were busy in general with people out on the trails, hanging out, and walking around). Across the street, there's a grassy area with picnic tables and they were all taken. In front of the window on the sidewalk were two blackboard menus, one for specials and one for the day's pops. The selection is always rotating with new and original flavors. Here's what was available during our visit: Fruit Pops: * Pomegranate Lemonade * Blueberry Lemonade * Blackberry Ginger Lemonade * Grapefruit Mint * Coconut Banana Orange Cream Pops: * Thai Iced Tea * Key Lime Pie * Orange Cream * Chocolate Sea Salt All pops were $3 each. They were also selling "Mystery Pops" for $2 each; probably inventory they were trying to get rid of. Along with pops, they sell ice cream for dogs ($3) and T-shirts ($15). Our group purchased a variety of pops. I had the Thai Iced Tea which was terrific. It tasted just like a sweet and creamy Thai iced tea. They got the flavor down great. The pop even had specks of black tea leaves in it. I also tried the Blackberry Ginger Lemonade and, before being told what flavor it was, could already tell there was ginger in it just by its strong taste. That pop was sharp, tart, and refreshing. One of my friends got a Coconut Banana Orange pop and when he took it out of the packaging, there were small patches of dark stuff on the tip. We showed it to the guy at the window and he apologized and gave my buddy a new Coconut Banana Orange that was not "contaminated." The employee said the dark stuff was probably basil leaves from another flavor that inadvertently mixed over during manufacturing. Not a big deal to us (I would've eaten that pop had it not been thrown away), but it's essentially cross-contamination which can be a serious issue. All pops are individually wrapped and the employees will snip the packaging open for you. Don't forget to grab napkins. This brick and mortar location of King of Pops is located in Inman Park right off of the Atlanta BeltLine. They have their available flavors - separated by fruity and creamy - on a chalkboard sign propped up on the sidewalk outside of the window that you walk up to and order from. This spot has the largest variety of flavors of any of the King of Pops locations I've been to in Atlanta. They also sell King of Pops attire for those that want to sport their love of this Atlanta-based business. After ordering your pop for the traditional $3 each you can eat it outside the window on the wood/cinder block benches or go across the street towards the Beltline and Freedom Park Trail where they have a seating area setup. This seating area has picnic benches, their iconic rainbow umbrellas, and King of Pop coolers repurposed into flower beds. Every pop I've had has been consistently high quality and great taste. If you have a classic favorite, don't be afraid to branch out and try one of their more unique/limited time flavors. Stopping by this location over the 4th of July weekend revealed (to me) that they had Girl Scout Cookie flavored pops using tagalongs, do-si-dos, samoas, and thin mints. read more

You order from a little walk up window where you kind of have to look down into what appears to be a basement. They have their flavors listed on the window outside and usually a very cool, super hip lady working at the window. (At least the few times I have been) If ever in the area it is one of those places you must stop! You won't regret it. I never knew of this location or the window so it was a nobrainer to get one. I've had their other flavors at Whole Foods and from their carts many times so I was looking for something I haven't had: blueberry cobbler. This was creamy from Greek yogurt and had a perfect hint of cinnamon. I recommend coming here on a day of great weather since there are covered picnic tables with umbrellas. From the beautiful butterfly "Welcome to Inman Park" mural to the colorful tables and umbrellas to eat your pop on, you just can't be in a bad mood going to the walkup window. Now onto the pops! KOP has both fruit based pops and cream based pops. The fruit based pops are definitely more watery than the cream based. My personal preference is the cream based with Thai Iced Tea being my absolute favorite pop. However I did try a Raspberry Rosewater pop recently and it was pretty good! These pops be POPPIN'. Every weekend in June, Delta Amex card owners can get TWO pops FO' FREE! That's what I call Southern hospitality! So on a sunny Atlanta Saturday, my card-holding, frugal fam tracked down the cart in front of Ponce City Market and tried out the Chocolate Sea Salt & Blackberry Ginger Lemonade flavas. These were both delicious in completely different ways. The salty choc was creamy and indulgent whereas the blackberry had strong ginger notes (too much for my mom, just enough for this spicey root lover) and tasted like a juicy, refreshing cocktail. Sunday came around, which also happened to be Father's Day, so of course I had to take my pop for another pop! This time we hit up their Inman Park window and were greeted with a larger list of flavor options (including a $2 mystery offer which was very intriguing). My dad went for the coconut lemongrass, which was refreshing and had an icier consistency than expected, and I had the banana cinnamon which tasted like the banana breakfast milkshakes I used to devour as a child. Delicious nostalgia at its finest. The 4 pops I tasted (FO' FREE, THX DELTA!) were enough so that I won't even hesitate in buying one for $3 in the future. This was my first time having King of Pops, sorry to say it wasn't at the actual location but a remote set up to promote the new bikes in the Buckhead area. I'm so glad I finally got a chance to have one of these delicious popsicles. They had a variety of flavors but because chocolate is my thing I chose the salted chocolate. Can you say yummy? I will definitely be buying another one after I lose some much needed weight. Not sure when that will be but I may treat myself before then....who knows. This is the factory where all the magic is made (ie: company headquarters). Ahhhh King of Pops. What would the ATL do without you? This is a great location as it is right along the Beltline trail and an easy stop off for a frosty treat. A window on the side of the brick building on the corner of Bernina & Elizabeth Street - it's the headquarters, so you know the product is super fresh! Today, I went for the FREE KoP (thanks to Mail Chimp) and their special MC flavor, Chocolate Covered Banana. Wowza - there was a half of a banana frozen in the middle of the pop. Like I needed encouragement to love KoP. There was quite the line when I got there (the secret was out), and people were walking down from the Beltline, driving up from everywhere else and people were getting up from lunch at Pure, The Albert, etc. to come and get their KoP on. If you haven't tried them, make sure to keep your eyes peeled and try out KoP whenever you can. Review on the Easter Egg hunt THANK YOU!!!!!!!! Thank you for having an egg hunt on Easter Sunday. The weather was great and you gave my non Easter celebrating kids something to do. I do have some suggestions for next year: 1) hide more eggs. I am guessing that you did not expect such a big turn out. My kids were only able to each grab 4 eggs. 2) Check the area that you are hiding eggs for broken glass/dog poop/garbage. I know that you cannot pick it, but I do not need my kids running through it. 3) Open the second cart sooner so we do not need to wait in such long lines to purchase pops. I've never met a Popsicle I didn't like. This place was pretty good. I live in Birmingham and I go to Steel City Pops about once every other day. This place is a very very close second in my ranking of pops! My BF and I picked a pop out of the mystery bucket. They are $1.50 but you don't know what you will get. He got a coconut lemon grass and I got some spicy peach situation. Both rather tasty! We got the pup a little lick alots! A puppy pop in a tube and dear lord she loved it! Cutest little window ever. The window faces the Beltline, so you can actually sit on the sidewalk or bench and watch people go by, I guess. It's in a strange area, but they do a pretty good job of directing you with a couple signs. I had stopped by the dude at Buddy's and asked him how to get there.. just a minute down the road from there. This is where you pick up your order (pop of the month club) or just stop by for a sweet treat. There's a small bench out front you can park your patootie on to enjoy your pop. Inside is where the magic happens? Fantabulous pops with an assortment of flavors, both fruit-based and milk-based. You can get mystery pops too. They're so mysterious, even the staff don't have a clue what they are. According to an employee, they're unmarked leftovers from previous batches. My favorites are all the fresh fruit flavors: raspberry lime, pineapple habanero, blackberry ginger. I love how they use seasonal fruits so everything is sourced locally. These flavors are the most refreshing and fresh tasting to me. Their website lets you know where they are at any given day, but if it's the dead of winter, the temperature is in the teens, and you still need some KoPs (this may or may not have happened to me...) then just head to this cool window in Inman Park. They have mystery pops for $1.50 (opposed to normal pops at $2.50), and while it is fun, they are a little harder since they're not as fresh and obviously you may not get the flavor you were craving. Also be sure to ask about all the different kind of flavors they have. They showed us a chalkboard of flavors, but it didn't list their seasonal flavors (some of which they did have) so make sure to ask for more!
