We…read morepurchased a Stihl weed eater from Ace in Willis 8 months ago and the unit would not stay running. It would start and work for 1 minute and stop. Ace Hardware Manager told us to take it to Southern Tractor that they perform Warranty for Stihl purchases from Ace. Also, Ace told us that the Stihl Warranty covered any issue for the first year up to and including replacement of the unit. We then took the unit to Southern Tractor and the gentleman that helped us took it and said "Oh yes, any issue would be covered by warranty". We received a call from Southern Tractor telling us the unit was ready - no mention that there would be a charge. My husband went to pick up the unit and was told, that it required a carburetor adjustment and the charge was $55.00. Manager Amy at Southern Tractor, says that they had to adjust first before they can find out if there were any other issues - no other issues - so they say we are responsible for the adjustment fee of $55.00. Amy was also very rude on the phone when I called to discuss. I do not recommend Ace Hardware for lawn equipment or Southern Tractor to perform work. Remember the warranty on lawn equipment is not worth the paper it is written on.

Yesterday I went with my husband to look at the mowers thinking that I was window shopping. Decided to try to get financed just for kicks and giggles and was approved immediately and was shocked. The customer care there is awesome. They were very helpful. The process was quick but thorough. They were very, very helpful and I highly recommend them. Even if you think there's no chance you'll get financed, try it. You'll be surprised. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thank you, outdoor equipment and staff. When we were lied to by Tracy (parts manager) about the parts being on "back order" -- BTW I personally called Graveley's corporate office and spoke with parts and they said that both parts were available and could be shipped out that day, I called back to Tracy and was referred to Dave. Dave said that their system might state "back order" on the parts even if they were actually in store. He took over the case and found that the parts were actually in store and had the mower repaired and returned to us within an additional seven days. We started it up and immediately had the same problem with it. We called Dave and he said that he would call us back. Having received no phone call, we drove it over to the Conroe location on August 28 (having to rent a truck as usual to do so) and when we arrived were told that the owner had decided that he didn't like our review on the internet and that they would no longer work on our mower. Classy. What a professional move. If you can't fix it, just decide to shuck off the problem to another company. Not a problem Dave. Not at all. These guys tried....and tried, AND TRIED…read more Day 1, brought my Jeep in to have the alignment serviced and buy two new tires. Found out that A Lot Of Work needed to be done. Days passed. I HAD to have my vehicle back! Picked it up without the ABS, Traction Control, and one tire pressure sensor. Two weeks later I returned in the rain from San Antonio. No incidents until about 2 miles from home when I hit a wet S-curve at 30 mph. Totally lost control, and spun 180. 4WD allowed me to escape the French Drain. Thank God this did not happen on the highway between an 18-wheeler and construction. Returned to Texas Truck Works. They installed the ABS and Traction Control sensors and new headlights. On the way home, I noticed one tire pressure sensor was still out. Returned AGAIN, waited 5 hours for a new sensor to be delivered and installed. TTW waived the service fee for the install, but kept the Allstate sensor. Take yours with you when leaving a vehicle with these guys. TTW really is sincere in trying to do the best job possible, but with a Jeep, its not an easy or cheap job.
