I went to King's Smokeshop in Dartmouth, MA today to return a Novo 3 pod that did not fit. It had been sold to me as a single, but it was the wrong size. In the past, I have had a few dud pods from this shop and just let it go, but this time it was clearly the wrong item.
When I went in, I dealt with a newer employee who is usually friendly and upfront about not knowing much about the products, which I appreciate. However, he refused to take the pod back. He asked who sold it to me, told me they never sell pods individually (which implied I was not being truthful), and even asked me what size pod I had brought in. It felt like the responsibility was being placed on me instead of the store.
I was expecting some pushback over a $5 item, but instead I was lectured about needing to talk to the storekeeper. I left the pod on the counter and walked out.
It is much easier and less frustrating to go elsewhere--Rhode Island shops, for example. It is unfortunate, because King's had been my only smoke shop since moving here four years ago. read more
