In the past, I have had a few dud pods from this shop and just let it go, but this time it was clearly the wrong item. When I went in, I dealt with a newer employee who is usually friendly and upfront about not knowing much about the products, which I appreciate. However, he refused to take the pod back. He asked who sold it to me, told me they never sell pods individually (which implied I was not being truthful), and even asked me what size pod I had brought in. It felt like the responsibility was being placed on me instead of the store. I was expecting some pushback over a $5 item, but instead I was lectured about needing to talk to the storekeeper. I left the pod on the counter and walked out. It is much easier and less frustrating to go elsewhere--Rhode Island shops, for example. It is unfortunate, because King's had been my only smoke shop since moving here four years ago.

Pulled the first (of 8) out of the bag and went to punch (cut) it. But it was already cut, and very poorly. The lower inch of the outer wrapper was mangled. I prefer to use a punch so I know I didn't space out and do this. I tried to clean this up with a cutter, but it was a mess, and a 10 dollar cigar was ruined. I've never encountered this before ever. It was cut, and put back in the wrapper. None of the others were like it, I bought 3 others same box. This is partly on me, I should have checked them closer. I normally inspect cigars for blemishes but was in a rush. So check your cigars carefully if you go here. Aside from that, the quantity and quality of selection was mediocre compared to my local stores. Ok, but missing a lot of standards. Price was equivalent compared to my stores. Storage Quality ( humidity primarily) seemed good. Not sure if I'll go back or not and talk to owner, who seemed like a nice guy.
