I came to Walmart this morning to visit the deli because the deli closes early every night, so I came early this morning. I arrived at 8:15-I am just now being served and it's 8:32! Am I being unreasonable? Is 17 minutes really not that inconvenient for customers? Perhaps I'm old fashioned-I remember clerks being Johnny on the spot when it came to helping customers! You'd figure in this day and age, there are plenty of tricks & gadgets to help with customer service-obviously a clock isn't one of them ! I really hate to bitch and moan-please do better, Walmart!

The register situation is a total mess, they rarely open up the self check out area and when they do it's 15 items or less and will not let you use them if you have 16 items, they try and justify this by adding employee run registers, they put a 99 year old with minimum training on register which slows everything down more. As an honest paying shopper I find it extremely disrespectful to be treated like a criminal meanwhile actual criminals can walk out of the store with full carts worth of products. Stopped in Whole Foods today to grab a cake for a birthday and couldn't have been more disappointed…read morewith the service. I literally stood at the bakery, while two ladies were there, one was on the phone, so understandable that she didn't help me but the other one was just walking back-and-forth and completely ignored me so finally after a few minutes I just grabbed a premade cake and went on my way. Then I go to check out and there's only one station open. The gal is counting out her drawer and I totally understand that she is busy but she did not acknowledge or say I'll be right with you. Nothing. Finally, after standing there for a long period of time I just picked up my stuff and went to the self checkout station. The cake I grabbed had the barcode on the side so I couldn't tip it to scan it, and there are two employees having a conversation about Covid and after finally noticing me, trying to figure out how to scan it, the guy walks up and doesn't say a word and just scans it, and then walks away. The customer service at the store today was extremely disappointing. Especially when it's compared to Trader Joe's. I stopped by Trader Joe's just before this and every single employee I encountered at the store was friendly and greeted me. I also watched as another person who is handing out samples at Trader Joe's, drop everything to help an elderly lady find something on the other side of the store. Take note Whole Foods. This is the kind of service you should be giving.

A hearty shout-out to Eric, who took the time to check the back of the store to see if he could find an item which I needed to get the "But One get One for 50% off deal. He was super friendly and very eager to help me. What a nice man...and he found the item I was looking for! Checking out was also quite an enjoyable experience. Brittany was as friendly as they come and very upbeat during the entire checkout process. Her constant smile was quite infectious! As I was leaving the store I happened to run into the store manager, Janelle. I told her what a positive experience I had that day and how helpful her employees were. She clearly was, not only proud of her employees, but was also very proud of her store. She was very engaging during our conversation; hence I asked her to write down the names of the (previously mentioned) employees so I could give them an online shout-out!

Janie let me know they only had the little sunflowers which I found underwhelming for what I had in mind. She suggested other flowers and then customized a bouquet with a bunch of little sunflowers that made it really pop. It turned out absolutely gorgeous & even better than what I had in mind. I'm so thankful for her creativity and willingness to go the extra mile :)

Unfortunately they are just so understaffed and I don't really know how to offer them any advice on how to change that. They always have ads out and seems like incentives running. One major drawback for me is their lack of multichild carts. They used to have one car cart that broke and other than that I have my 10 month old in the cart and my 3 year old walking, he's well behaved but it just adds to the stress. On top of that, with the 2 kids I prefer to have a human checker. It's very difficult to self checkout with the kids. And check out the self checkout line, it gets so long. Today it was almost 10 people long. With one gal on checkout and all the moms and older people prefer the human checker. Other than that I like the store. They keep it clean, it's just the only king soopers in the area so it's really busy.

The people that work here are very nice and friendly. One young lady, actually walked with me to show me where an item was that I wanted. You don't find that Prices are not as expensive as some other groceries but all food is expensive these days.
