    Love potion #31
    Christian B.

I stopped in here for a nice cool treat on a hot day. The service was fast and friendly. Since samples are not currently allowed, I had to feast with my eyes and determine which one looked the tastiest. I picked Love Potion #31 and it was a raspberry delight! I'll be sure to stop here again and try out some more wonderful flavors.

Yum! We nailed $1.70 scoops this trip because they do this on the 31st every month and best of all they had Wild N Reckless flavor! Clean atmosphere, lots of selections and fast service. Friendly staff.

Olde Town Arvada is way off my usual stomping grounds, so although I had read quite a bit about…read morethis shop over the years, I had never visited. We finally decided to check out the shopping and dining district. Rheinlander was our final (and best!) stop. The bakery dates back to 1963 and is now on the third generation of ownership. The quality is certainly being maintained at a high level. This is a traditional, German bakery with a huge variety of authentic European cakes, cupcakes, sweet and savory pastries, pies, cookies, coffee cakes, and the only reason I think a German bakery should exist--strudel! Strudels are available whole, half, or by the slice. The usual flavors are apple, cherry, blueberry cream cheese, cherry cream cheese, and Boston cream. We bought slices of the apple, cherry, and blueberry cream cheese. These were perfection and absolutely delightful. I was totally focused on the strudel case (yes, there's a lot of strudel on offer), but I believe there are eight huge cases of treats, each one looking more enticing than the next. Quite a few gluten-free, sugar-free, and dairy-free options are available, so if that's what you need, this is the place for you. The bakery was moderately busy during our visit. There was plenty of staff and they were all friendly, helpful, and very efficient, so purchases moved swiftly. Lots of coffee and drink options are available. There's nice outside seating if you can't wait to take your goodies home. It's a long drive for us, but we were really impressed and we'll find a reason to visit Arvada so we can stop back soon. Yum.

Their status as a preferred vendor at Black Canyon Inn is well-deserved; they already had a great relationship with the venue, and even have several types of displays for couples to pick from, permanently on-site. This made the whole process so seamless. As a baker myself, I knew I couldn't create anything as impressive as what I wanted for our wedding. I was most excited to choose our baker, and Gingerly Baked exceeded all my expectations. It was so important to me that our cake was not only delicious but also a spectacular centerpiece. They listened to every detail and were so easy to work with on the customization. The result was a stunning and delicious cake, along with an array of amazing bites that our guests are still gushing about. If you're looking for a wedding baker who is not only talented but also an excellent listener, look no further. We absolutely loved them and can't recommend them enough! First off, she was so accommodating doing a SECOND take away tasting for us, as we had some family members who wanted to participate in the fun. During our in person tasting she was so personable and made the whole experience a blast. Everything we tried was better than the last and it was so hard for us to narrow down on a selection. (Though I think our personal favorites were the pecan squares and the fruit tarts. We also went with the take 5 cake which was unbelievable) Second, she was so amazing in working with us to make us exactly what we wanted, as we went an untraditional route with a small cake for just us and pastries for our guests. Lastly, her set up on the day of the wedding was absolutely beautiful. We decided to buy our own stands and she provided us with links and recommendations on what to get and the final product with all of her delicious goodies on them was so perfect. My only complaint is that she doesn't have a storefront where I could eat her goodies year round. Do yourself a favor and go with gingerly baked for your next event. You won't regret it!

I bought a raspberry mousse and attempted to eat it and the first bite tasted like it had been sitting next to meat in a refrigerator for days. The mousse itself left a waxy coating on my tongue. The icing shell did the same. The Mille-Feuille was over cooked and had old whipped cream inside and on top. The waxy coating of the tongue occurred there too. The strawberry atop the dessert was so old I believe it would have been an issue for the health department. I couldn't eat or drink any of it. I am appalled by what they sold me. This place charges quite a bit for the trash they serve up. AVOID. The owner accused me of lying after I wrote the above review on google. Instead of apologizing for the $50 I essentially set on fire, they denied and lied. Makes me question the legitimacy of the positive reviews. Then denied they use syrup in their lemonade? Not sure about you but have "natural" ingredients ever turned your juice bright red without any pulp? To the owner: Precisely! Why would I write a lie? It makes no sense to concoct lies when I have literally nothing to gain from it.

Our plates all had the same tomato sauce, which was slightly bland. Our plates also contained lots of cheese, SHY AWAY LACTOSE PEOPLE. The ravioli was extremely soft with a burst of cheese, the pizza's veggies were vibrant and flavorful, however the steak was a bit overdone. The server did ask on the spot for us to check the meats cooking to see if its how we asked. This question made us really appreciate the restaurants culture and service. Price is average for mom and pop shop too. The Service was nice and welcoming. They gave us free garlic knots for being first timers. Our food came pretty quick and they double check to make sure the food is to our liking. The location is right off of Harlan and had limited parking. I held off..well sort of. Now on to the sangwhich..I went with Big Jeff's Italian Sub. Big Jeff knows how to eat. This sadly was not a sub. Sub is on a sub roll..not chibatta bread. I KNOW..how dare I sully Grammy's name. The flavor of this sangwhich was definaly there..just the bread threw me off. Remember..I am looking for my Italian Hoagie perfection. It was good..had the Zip and Zing of the dressing, meats and onions I had been looking for..but that bread..just didn't cut it for me or my east coast neghibor who got the other half. Loved what I believe were homemade potato chips but the lovely young lady who brought out our goodies couldn't confirm. Oh yes, and who can forget the giant plate of first timer garlic knots. You can seriously use those as a sandwhich bun on their own. Will I be back? absolutely. I have a whole list of things to try. Did I walk out with a giant chocolate chip cookie? ...again..Absolutly. Was I annoyed to stand in the same line as people ordering to pay my bill? Only slightly because I grabbed that cookie after standing there. Seriously though, let people pay at their table. Not open Sundays...and need a website update as its still showing festivals from 2020. I'm already scheduling my next oil change appt in golden around their business hours so I can stop for lunch.
