This King Soopers location is decently-sized, very well organized, and very clean. It is not like the huge ones (I think those are called King Soopers Marketplace) but it has everything you need. Produce always seems like they're in good condition and fresh. All the merchandise seems to be in good condition. These might be odd observations to make, but if you've been to a bad location, you would understand. Workers here are always nice and helpful. I look forward to more grocery shopping trips to this King Soopers location! Good job yall! read more

I've shopped here frequently and have never been disappointed. It's a large size store than most I've shopped and is well organized. The staff members are very friendly and helpful which is a direct reflection of the store manager. The mall offers a variety of stores and restaurants and is located near W 32nd and Youngfield Sts. and I70. All in all, this is one of the better King Soopers in the West side of town. read more

RACISM!!! I was followed by a security guard at this King Soopers location. I came in wearing jeans and a black jacket (hoodie part not covering my head), no backpack or any bag, no hat, and I wasn't wearing a mask (not that these things are necessarily suspicious). I don't drink or do drugs, so I wasn't drunk or high. I noticed the security guard was following me down different aisles. Finally, in one of the aisles where she was following and walking in the same direction as me, I walked in the opposite direction and she stopped as I walked past her. me: "Do I need to be followed?" security guard: "Yes." me: "Is there a reason for that?" security guard: "My boss told me to follow you." me: "Is there a reason for that?" security guard: "You tell me." me: "Do you follow white people too?" security guard: "No. My boss told me to follow you. My boss doesn't trust you." I left the 2 items I was holding on the fixture where I was standing and walked out of the store. I didn't have a basket or cart as I was just going to buy a few things then leave. This occurred Friday night 7/21/23. I saw other King Soopers employees as I exited the store and thought about telling them what happened but thought, "what if the boss of the security guard is there?" So I continued to make my exit. When I first came into the store, I asked the security guard what time the store closes, as when I was walking in, that was the only employee in sight in the direction I was walking. She said 11. I thanked her. I thought I heard another employee say they close in an hour. As I turned to pass by the self check out area and into the store, I thanked the employee who I thought said the store closes in an hour. I didn't realize that same security guard would be following me later that night. Security directing their energy towards people of color is in effect distracting themselves from those that are really there to do harm. I am never coming back to this King Soopers and am boycotting Kroger. I saw another review here from someone who is Black and who also testified of racism. I am an Asian woman. Sushi samples. Yes, you heard me. This place offered samples of sushi when I was grocery shopping! It was delicious, spicy for me, but still tasty. The Starbucks had two people working, which is simply fantastic as there were a lot of people ordering drinks. Didn't have to wait long because the ladies working there were quick. Well organized and pretty large King Soopers. Stopped for some snacks before the trip to Aspen. Check out was quick, many lanes were open. I went thru self check out. This King Soopers is constantly out of stock of items. If its on sale or special deal, it wont be on the shelves. Want kroger brand seltzer?..... good luck. The produce seems to not be put out on the shelves until its just about to go bad, same with a lot of the meat. There are some really nice cashiers but unfortunately they are in the minority. Watch out for the guy who's clearly in a grouchy mood all the time and will sneer at you with a look like he wants to hurt you. I go here because its convenient but if a better option opened up nearby I'd never shop at this Soopers again. read more

On Saturday morning, my husband and I decided to visit this King Soopers because of the beautiful views of the mountains and the wonderful sunshine. I went in and was amazed about how well the fruits and veggies were stocked and the Happy Juneteenth cupcakes that were on display, I just had to buy it. When I approached the self checkout line, I was immediately asked by someone on staff if I found everything ok. I said with a smile yes because in fact, everything was ok. I didn't feel out of place even if I was the only black American shopping there. What changed it was toward the end of my transaction. A worker came over to me, mind you there were about 7 other shoppers checking themselves out and then the worker asked to count the items in my bag. Her response was the machines are sensitive. I was taken aback...no one else received this service but me. She says that they do this at all King Soopers. I said this isn't so because I regularly shop at King Soopers in Denver. So she counted my items and said , yep, you have 11 items as if to assure me that she was right in her assumption that I stole something. As I was exiting, I saw 2 cashiers that were both Mexican, I asked was that normal and they both said no. I then asked to speak to a manager. The manager stated that its routine because of the new equipment and I said no one else was selected but me and then he shrugged as it to say oh well...long story short, if you are black, do yourself a favor by not going to this particular King Soopers. Racism is ugly and if you don't want to be involved with bag checks and certain staff looking at you as if you are less than, go elsewhere. I do not recommend coming here at all! The managers are rude and cuss at there employees. They also refuse to listen to any of there employees about there availability, even as far as to schedule minors who are at school to be there at the same time almost daily!!! They understaff their employees so much that it impacts the customer experience. They have the employees to work but the store manager is more focused on here bonus than the customers. BE VERY CAREFUL COMING HERE. I would give 0 stars if I could. They also use minors on the registers that they are not allowed to. read more

Hard to find prices on eggs and ended up paying too much. Tried to buy 50% Christmas discount coffee but the regular cashier said you had to buy a coffee drink at the Starbucks to get that price. Let's start off with if it's been a rough weekend our car was broken into, and I had my information stolen along with my banking and credit cards. I had a backup ID and One credit card that's chip did not work. Anyway Brandon the front end manager today Sunday at 2:30 was not only unwilling to help us out with a much-needed purchase of 1 gallon of milk for our baby. He acted arrogant and nearly laughed for asking a small favor to manually punch in a credit card for a gallon of milk for our 2 year old baby. Other employees recognized us because this is our local King Soopers and the very helpful u scan employee walked us up to Brandon because she needed his card to help us ring in this $3 dollar purchase. It seemed like this was his first taste of power in his 16 years of existence. I get rules, I get how safe you need to be when protecting your identity these days, I get that you don't want employees manually entering cards due to data issues but I also get common sense. I'll be heading home to use my card number on Amazon Fresh for a 2-hour delivery and plan on transitioning my daily shopping habits over to Amazon permanently. The reason I'm so heated is Brandon chose the exact saying "It's not that I can't it's that I choose not to" in reference to manually entering a card that's magnetic strip had faded even with I.D. and a card statement for the purchase of literally 1 gallon of milk for our toddler smh. read more

This is my regular King Soopers and I use the pharmacy on a fairly regular basis. Since the pharmacist Brian (an Asian man) left, the service has been consistently bad to very bad. The man who typically works the counter acts like he doesn't want to be there and is rude, uncaring, and gives you the impression that you are not worthy of his time or attention. He does not provide customer service but services customers only because he has to. read more

I always have a good experience with the self check out crew in the morning but the night crew doing self check out left me feeling frustrated and stressed out. Your store had a big sale sign price on a cube of Red Bull near the south entrance and when I checked on Monday when I bought 2 packs I remember taking note that the tag said the sale ended on 10/17 so throughout my week I kept telling myself I needed to drop by and buy more. Well it's the 17th and I dropped by to take advantage of the sale I remember reading clearly on Monday only to be met with frustration as the item didn't scan with the sale price. In the morning they happily change it for you no questions asked but the night attendant would not and walked to the south end and grabbed some smaller tags with the sale price which I have no idea where those even came from but apparently the smaller tag said 10/16 for the sale end date. If I had known it was 10/16 and not 10/17 then I would have came a day earlier. Anyways, the attendant told me they would only honor 2 of the 8 packs I wished to purchase. I asked why and was pointed to the smaller tag end date, so I had to physically walk to where I saw the large sign on the south entrance block of Red Bull and grab it off the block to show the attendant I wasn't lying about the sale end date that I saw. I'm fairly annoyed and stressed at the poor customer service at this point but the stock crew noticing my flustered attitude as I yanked the sale sign asked me if "everything was okay" in which I replied to them saying "I'm arguing with the attendant because they won't honor this sale that says it ends 10/17 and thinks I'm lying". The stock crew joins me and comments how it is the stores fault for the typo and tells the attendant to honor the date I saw. Thank you! I'm just so frustrated I had to go through all that trouble to prove what I saw for a sale date. Please improve your customer service to reflect king sooper standards, night self check attendant person. Edit: Here's a tip - In the future, as to not ruin a customer's happiness, you should always honor what was posted on the shelf and not even try to verify a date or not. It's the store's misrepresentation of the sale by failing to remove the signage in the first place. You should keep to yourself and honor what the customer saw and then in your spare time if you notice the sale is out of date then you can remove the sign yourself if it was failed to be removed at the appropriate time. Why lose a customer from spoiling their spirits? Honor the sign regardless of the tiny fine print and then remove the sign in your spare time as to not piss all over a customer's happiness. read more

I like how this one is laid out. It is easy to navigate and they typically have several lanes open so you don't have to wait too long. Love the cheese & olive bar that they have. Love the abundance of produce organic and non Love the bakery & deli The only thing not to love about this one is the parking lot. As another reviewer said parking can be a bit of a cluster. I will totally agree with that. Best time to come IMO is usually after about 7. If you know what you are looking for you can usually get in and out quickly. Gone are the days of customer service and appreciation. Though the manager was able to 'correct' the price of the item, she did not offer to comp the purchase despite the hassle, my time and gas. Apparently the 'stocker' tagged the item incorrectly ~ item description matched, but the long item number did not. Can't get waited on at the deli counter. Employees work hard at ignoring customers. No one at the counter but me, two employees behind the counter but they weren't interested in waiting on any customers. Do their best to ignore them. Happens over and over here, I'm done with this place. Once about eight employees behind the counter and none of them willing to wait on a customer. I wasn't the only one that walked away that day. It's like a competition among employees behind the deli counter to see how many of them can ignore customers for as long as possible. Will get boarshead lunch meat from Sprouts. The deli clerk Shane was super helpful. I had trouble deciding between potato salads and Shane gave me thoughtful and insighful input. He suggested a southern potato salad stating that it would pull together a good home cooked meal. I have typically had a very good experience with employees at this King Soopers (hence the two stars), however I waited almost 10 minutes at the deli with only myself and one other person present. There were 4 employees standing around not willing to ask if we needed help. The deli slicer then proceeded to hand me my meat with the bag open, which is just rude and violates health codes. I brought this up with the cashier and she proceeded to treat me rudely and accuse me of "just needing to vent". I wanted this issue brought up with the manager, but unfortunately just didn't have the time to stay and talk with one. I suggested filling out a piece of paper, and she proceeded to ignore me and say she would tell someone. Needless to say I am less than pleased with their level of customer service and obliviousness to basic health codes. This is perhaps one of the worst King Soopers in all of Colorado. The people that frequent this establishment will run you over with their shopping cards and seem to have a fundamental misunderstanding of normal driving rules as soon as they enter the parking lot. The store itself is fine, but the people that frequent this place are enough of a turn off. Furthermore this is the last stop on the ski-hill trail for the tour buses in the winter...just don't bother. read more

To be fair, I've only been to this store late in the evening, two separate times, between 10:00 pm & midnight. This review is only meant to alert any other potential late-night shoppers to the difficulties I experienced here. The store itself is large, nicely laid out, and has above average produce, bakery, and floral departments. There is an in-store Starbucks, and the pharmacy looks very nice. The problem I ran into, however, was their approach to re-stocking. I totally understand that they have to re-stock at some point each day, but both times I've gone, every single aisle has been a complete disaster. Boxes are EVERYWHERE, and about half of the aisles are completely blocked off at one of the ends. It also seemed to me that they didn't have enough people on staff to help with all the re-stocking, because most aisles had no one working on unloading the many boxes, leaving the better half of the store inaccessible. Very frustrating! I wouldn't normally write a review about such a thing, but thought it might be helpful to anyone who, for whatever reason, has to do their grocery shopping later in the evening, since it did happen on two different occasions.
