Upon deciding to do a pool, I went with what I knew and also referred them to my sister and her husband who wanted to get an outdoor kitchen and patio extension. Well it started off well and we met with our designated "Project Manager" Christie. Long story short, project management was sub par at best. We had to constantly reach out for updates, she seldom put boots on the ground or put eyes on subcontractor work. We had several things that were missing, incomplete or wrong that we had to bring to her attention. Texts would go unanswered and calls sent to voicemail as an avoidance tactic. So many unprofessional instances related to customer service inquiries. I'm so sad to report my sister experienced the same thing. There was never a final walkthrough or handshake, nothing. The plaster subcontractor covered my requested umbrella hole. Had the PM been on her game she would have caught that. Was never offered any compensation at all. They were very efficient about sending invoices which we paid within sometimes minutes of receiving. The quality and timeframe of project completion I can't complain about but when you are investing over $90k in something you expect an experience from start to finish. Cypress area residents: seek out other contractors and be sure to read reviews on their PM capabilities. I had high hopes for John but I'm just another client in their review mirror. It's rare to find a contractor that takes this level of care and attention to his work. He was hired to remodel the kitchen and replace the water lines throughout the house, but he immediately pointed out some serious issues with the house once they started opening up walls. Termites, water damage, DIY electrical, and plenty more issues that the seller had just covered up. A lot of contractors will just do what they were hired to do, but this was above and beyond what I expected. Even with all the additional fixes that needed to be done, his crew knocked it all out in about a month. His work is impeccable too. Everything is custom and will be exactly what you ask for and more! I'll definitely be using Miguel on future projects.

The amount of prep that went into painting was extraordinary. Every single nook and cranny was prepped with high quality caulk (especially where the siding meets the brick). They used a special caulk that does not crack over time like regular caulk and high quality paint. The craftsmanship and professionalism of Miguel and all his workers was outstanding. They showed up every day and the job was competed in the agreed upon time. The finished product looks great and I would highly recommend this company to anyone doing a home improvement project.

BEWARE! We had them come out to do our back patio in 2021. They ignored all things we told them,…read morepicked differing color stones instead of the one color we told them to use, used a white sand in between instead of a dark one that we asked for and paid for, and then they left a 4" gap in some area that they just put the sand in...which washed away after the first storm. We called and called and they took over a month to come back out and fix all the crap they did. Fast forward 2 years and our entire patio is wavy... had new company come out and they said that the last people who laid our patio not only cut corners and only put a 2" sand base, but that the patio wouldn't have lasted 5 years. They built it to where water puddles at our back door instead of running off to our driveway. AWEFUL customer service, the main guy told us to "fill in the sand ourselves" instead of having his men come back fix the areas that they flat out didn't do. Unbelievable. He cannot be trusted and his work product won't last more than a year at best.

I chose BDH because of positive past experience. This job included laying a flagstone patio with bender board edging, laying down stone garden edging and stone walking path. The team was on time, professional and diligent workers. I highly recommend BDH for the garden edging--lovely job. I was not present for the job but did have facetime views via my brother who was at my house in my absence. In hind site, I should have been present to monitor and inspect the work. I do not recommend BDH landscaping if you are hoping for a flagstone patio or stone pathway seen in BDH gallery photos or photos on the web in general. While my impression is that these workers did the best they could, I think the reason the overall look of the patio and flagstoned areas do not live up to the photos I see on line is most likely due to an inability for me to have a meaningful conversation with the two key BDH men (the owner Brad and chief guy Joel) most savy in how to achieve a particular look. One on one face to face conversation with either Joel or Brad prior to confirming the job would most likely have helped me understand the pros and cons of using bender board edging around patio. At this point, seeing the weakness of the bender board to hold secure in less than 7 days since the job was done, I strongly do not recommend using bender board as an edging method for a flagstone patio. BDH owner was effectively available by text or email and of course this really is not adequate for a job that ended up costing $10k-$11k. This amount does not cover the money I will spend on sprinkler head repair. I sincerely, hope the owner lives up to his promise of returning the week of July 11th to secure the bender board edging around the patio. Within less than one week at least two areas of bender board edging came unbound from stone patio creating tripping hazard and crushed granite spilling into yard. The other significant problem area was that a walking path stone was laid exactly over a visible sprinkler head. I will provide an update to this review pending BDH Landscaping owner, Brad, promise to secure bender board in a safe and longer lasting way the week of July 11, 2022.

Most of the work was great quality - turf and pavers installation look great! But if you hire them, make sure to have everything finished and checked before paying in full and do not use this company for sprinklers. I explain: 1. They promised to come back and finish with plants once available but never came and stopped replying to our texts - left some holes in the yard. 2. They were supposed to reroute the sprinklers before concrete was poured for the kitchen, but instead let the old lines and valves be buried and tapped on to it. Now there is a leak under 2ft of concrete and we will have to spend thousands to build a brand new sprinkler system around the construction. Definitely do not recommend for any sprinkler work!! They left knowing it was not working and promising to come back to fix it, but never did and Robert just ignored our texts and calls for months! 3. The landscaping lights also only lasted 2 months until the sensor stopped working and it would never turn off... not highest quality or faulty installation - not sure...
