At JTs', they were courteous and looked at the car. They just had too much work to be able to do the job at this time - they said all the shops in the area were really busy. But at least they talked to me and looked at the car. Then I went to Platinum. I parked my car right in front of their office window, walked in and said I needed an estimate. The receptionist said an estimate was $50 and would apply to the work. I said I wanted someone to just take a look at the car to let me know if they would even do the work and see if they would even have the time for it. I didn't want to pay $50 if they wouldn't even do the work or have the time. "The car's parked just outside, I just want someone to see if you will even do it". But she wasn't having any of that, said "We're good", essentially meaning goodbye and go. I said "Thanks for the HELP" and left. Platinum may not need me as a customer, but I don't think they need that employee as a receptionist either.

There seemed to be no real updates when I would call about my car. I would have the same updates for weeks. (My car was in the shop for 3 months) 4. Paint job on my car was horrible on the back end. They also caused additional damage to my paint. I was given a loaner car. 5. When given the car back, I noticed what looked like scratches but it was really residue they didn't even bother cleaning off. someone from another department ended up buffing it out for me. 6. I also informed them that one of my service lights was on and it shouldn't be. they "fixed" it and said if I have any other problems to go somewhere else. 7. My car didn't have electric issues before giving them the car. Now, I have a serivr light that won't turn off, cruise control won't work, the driver assistance that randomly turns on when it thinks I'm going out of the lane which is a hazard and so much other issues. Overall my car doesn't drive the same 8. They entered the carfax wrong and said my airbags was deployed when it wasn't. I have called to try to have this corrected, no one will return my calls once again. So I will have to correct this myself 10. I am now forced to choose if I will pay out of pocket for someone else to fix their mistakes or just trade in my car. I will be moving out of town and don't have time to keep taking my car to them, nor do I have the confidence they will actually do a good job. My suggestion to them is work on their customer service. The problem I have is that there was no mention that if I used a credit card to pay for the repairs that I would be charged a 3% fee. Sure, they offered that if I used a debit card, it would not incur a fee. But I did not have $2000 in my bank account at that moment. If I would've known this prior to driving an hour to pick up my truck, I would've had the money transferred to my Bank so I would not incur the $60 fee. Sure, $60 is not much but the lack of communication will earn this company only two stars out of five in my book. I had a breakdown near the Wondo River Bridge. Contacted Sea Island, which is relatively close and they got a truck to my location in a little under 20 mins. The driver was kind, funny, and quirky. He likes his job and he has stories to tell. He got the car loaded in 5 mins and we were off! We actually had a little fun on the ride to the drop-off point with our driver.
