The young lady greeted me with a wonderful smile, and paperwork to fill out. The waiting area was clean, and offered many products for sale. The service room was neat, and tidy. Kat offered a warm bed, clean robe and hair band. The service was amazing. Kat not only did a wonderful job with my facial Dermaplane, she offered a wonderful neck, shoulder and arm massage. The oils, lotions and products she used smelt amazing! And my results were awesome! My face wasn't bright red and I was able to continue on with my day as if Dermaplane didn't happen 30 minutes prior. I highly recommend Kat, and her team. My next 6-week appointment is booked.

The bride was let to believe she was booking for the service to come to us at the resort. Our appointments were at 11, we were at the chapel, ready to go. 11:20 rolls around and no stylists. The bride calls only to be informed that they do not travel and our appointments were at the salon. We had to race down the mountain and still didn't get to the salon at 12. Girl that started my hair was instantly annoyed. She only took 25 minutes on my medium/long hair for a bridal updo. I told her that my nail doesn't hold curl when it's curled with a clamp iron and does much better with a wand. She then tells me she doesn't even know how to use a wand, despite her saying she's been in the business for 2 years. She rushed through my hair and gives me a mirror. It looks like I could have done it myself only, I could have done better. She is even more annoyed now and calls another stylist over who promptly starts undoing her half hearted attempt. The second stylist then achieves the style I requested but nothing more is done about the limp, half curled hair that is left down around my shoulders. I am then rushed over to the make up station as so the girl who fixed my hair could work on the bride's. Make up gal was AMAZING and the ONLY reason this review gets 3 stars. She was so friendly, knowledgable and really did a fantastic job on both my makeup and the bride's. We both also purchased false lashes and they looked great. Would highly recommend for wedding make up. Stylist who fixed my hair and did the bride's was very talented but definitely needs to work on a bit friendlier attitude. I don't know if the stylists are always that rude or if it was because of the miscommunication about the location. Was definitely a huge hiccup in her big day that we had hoped to go smoothly by being on location. Very disappointed in the communication with salon and attitude of stylists during appointments.

She was so so knowledgeable about products, gave me step by step instructions on what she was doing throughout the facial, and offered a very inviting, calm, enjoyable space to receive the service! My skin looked like a glazed donut by the time she was done and I haven't had any breakouts or reactions to the products they used. (Which sometimes will occur.) I feel it's worth the money and when I'm back in town intend on booking another facial there! They have a plethora of services offered as well so it could be your one stop shop for all things self care related. They do sell products but they're not pushing them down your throat like some salons can do. I'd recommend to friends and family looking for a high quality spa.

I searched the area for a nail shop with a high review and found Noire Nail Bar. It's in a shopping center/strip mall kind of area. Walking in, there were no other customers present, but the place looks very clean and appeared to be set up to do a high volume of clientele. I went around noon on a Tuesday. I showed the woman at the front desk my nail and told her I just needed it to be fixed and she sat me down with a nail tech, his name was Tim. He was very gentle and did a good job at matching the original nail color since I had colored thin French tips. I showed my friend and she couldn't tell which one was cracked at all which is a testament to his work. Thanks for fixing me up, in and out in 20 minutes and I was charged $10. I know some places charge $5 for a nail fix, but I appreciated the service and him being gentle because it was very very painful. Now that the repair is done, I have no more pain and I'm happy with the work! If I hadn't just had my nails done a week ago, I definitely would've gotten a full set by Tim!

We had a great conversation and I will definitely be booking all of my pedicures with her from now on. The price was incredibly reasonable too. Definitely worth the 45 minute drive for me. I've already scheduled a facial to try their facial services out and look forward to that. This is not a country club salon, more hip and trendy, with decor that is more fun than serious. Venus Salon rocks!! I've been to the local cheap cut joints (if you don't mind a wait), and you just never know what you are going to get. I've been stuck with spaced out post teens and angry old men and women. They work at minimum wage for the man and it shows. You get what you pay for. 95% on time (appointments only for me). If Eric or Shannon step in expect the same great service. The rest of my family goes here and its not always easy to please teens and everyone else but this place does. Mandie nailed the style from day one and I immediately received complements at my workplace. Count me a fan.
