No having to lug your trash every day to the dumpster, just place it at the end of your site. There are bathrooms connected to the front office/store, there are two private restrooms w/handicap accessible shower seats on the left side of the park towards the back and another large bath house on the right side of the park with multiple stalls and showers. All which were always clean. There was even a dishwashing station with a 3 bin sink and hot and cold water. Especially good for tent campers so you don't have to lug a bunch of dirty dishes home. Next to the dish washing station there was also a dog washing station. How awesome is that. Most of the RV sites are pretty spacious and gravel underneath and all have a picnic table and fire ring. However, there are some that have a concrete pad and some of the deluxe sites even have a full grill, a raised brick fire pit w/grill grate and even a patio area chairs and a table. There is decent wifi and some sites have cable. There are two dumpsites on the way out of the park and even a fresh drinking water station near the tent campers area so you're not having to lug in water for your tent site. The store is open 9-5, 7 days a week. There are somes snacks/groceries, rv supplies, pet items, firewood, and there was even a slushie machine inside, and a large coffee machine with flavorings. During the cold months they have a fire roaring in the fireplace, so cozy. The last couple of days there they got in ice cream that you can buy by the scoop, in a cup or a cone. The orange sherbet was delicious. The staff members were so helpful and friendly. I highly recommend this camp ground to anyone staying in the area. Especially if you're planning on visiting Kings Dominion Amusement park. It was closed while we were there but opens in the summer months and they offer shuttle service to the park. Although we did not stay at the cabins they looked very nice from the outside and from the pics online. There was a dog park but it was all the way to the back left behind the tent sites, kind of out of the way. There is also a laundry room on site connected to the office. No need to try to make change and lug around a bunch of quarters. There is a machine that lets you swipe your debit card and choose the machines you want to use, very handy. There are 4 washers and 4 dryers. All of which worked very well for me. The area is very wooded. We came in the early spring and it was very nice, I can only imagine how beautiful it is when all the trees are full.

Family friendly diversity friendly. There's a shuttle service from the campground to Kings Dominion/Soak City. Over all it is a nice place to bring the family. If you don't have a camper and tenting is not for you, by all means rent a cabin. Today we seen several birthday parties. There is a place for churches to gather and groups. They host a Sunday service at 9 AM. The pool is open I believe 10 AM to 8 PM. It's a salt water is excellent for the skin. They offer games like volleyball, tether ball, giant checkers. They have a sitting area where you can watch television. Were those in HanoverCountyVA and #CarolineCountyVA come on over this is a place you want to camp. Being outdoors and experiencing a screenless moment is rare. You can fish, place various games, make a fire, roast s'more's or weenies, swim in a pool, lay out in the sun, stare at the stars and watch the satellites and planes roll by, say hello to your neighbor, bask in some music, walk around pond and look at the beautiful wildlife.. the options are endless and what you make them. Grab your family and make it a weekend (or longer) they remember. Memorial weekend is so fun. They have candy bingo, karaoke, ice cream socials, pancake breakfasts, and more. The shop is perfect are for your needs if you forget something. They have the best colored shirts and awesome hats. Don't have a camper? No problem, rent a cabin :). You really can't go wrong coming out here. Experience life is a new way. I love this place and we plan to come every year regardless of where we live. Now only the government is making the money because they are the only ones who are allowed to sell you the herb and then they have you in the system . The government allows these companies to functionson, so they get the profi. You can't buy seeds for your 4 plants you are allowed to grow. I didn't give it low stars because it really isn't their fault. Maybe next year the government with get off its heiney and get on with what was promised to the voters.

We were not provided with a receipt by email or paper, so I was a little disappointed by that. I always receive a receipt in some form when staying at a campground. Other than that, the grounds appeared to be well kept. The sites weren't too close together. Unfortunately I did have a hard time sleeping. In the middle of the night, people were grouped up and speaking very loudly directly behind our camper. I never had that happen before. Their conversation was very loud and kept waking me up. We left really early in the morning the next day so we weren't able to explore much more than that. It was a nice stop though.

Located by the Patuxent River with a breathtaking view, Endeavor Point, is a ridden gem with campground, private beaches you can swim, a huge fishing pier, and cottages for rentals. From the moment you step onto the grounds of this place you feel your entire body relaxing. It is an amazing experience! I rented a cottage (Mermaid Folly) for the weekend. The place was very well furnished with a fully equipped kitchen, living and dining room furniture, very comfortable beds with soft linens, clean baths with soft towels. In general, the place was very clean, well decorated, and very functional. What I loved the most about the cottage was the balcony with a fantastic view, sitting outside under the tree close to the water, and listening to the waves breaking by the river shore. I also loved my walks in the mornings and afternoons by the breezy beaches and pier watching people fishing, the sunrising, and the sunset. I strongly recommend Endeavor Point if you want to just relax on a visit during the day, if you like camping overnight, or staying in a very comfortable cottage over the weekend.

We've had trails to wander, seen wildlife, and could even go crabbing, pots provided (both kinds, to catch and cook!). The park is serene and so beautiful with the estuary, river, beachy, and woodsy biomes to observe.
