Given its condition, it should either close or at least offer a discount, informing guests about its current situation. After a long drive, we wanted a clean and comfortable room to rest in. Unfortunately, this hotel didn't have what we were looking for. The AC in our room was off, the room was hot and dusty, visibly they were working on it. The bathroom was disgusting, the toilet wasn't clean, some of the towels seemed to be dirty, and the floor had some stains, that visibly needed a deep cleaning. At this point, we were tired and just went to get some sleep. We went to breakfast around 8:30, but they ran out of eggs and bacon, so we didn't eat anything. The employees were too busy eating breakfast as well to ask us if we needed anything. The hotel was a mess, but it seemed like they didn't care.

We had a less than great stay. My family had a total off 3 rooms (one for two nights 3/14-16, one…read moreor one night 3/14-15) with a total of four adults and four children. We were in town for the OAC wrestling tournament and one of the selling points when we booked was the pool and gym. Our first issue was that when I booked(on the phone) I was never told these ammeneties that we booked for would be unavailable. I understand that renovations happen and I do understand it was listed on the website, but again I booked via a phone call. I found out two days before arrival via an email with confirmation of my stay. This was annoying and incovienvent but not an overall giant issue. However, we had MANY incoviences during our stay. The automative lights in the hallway of the rooms were an absolute nightmare, they went off at least four times a night- anytime someone would roll over or their feet hung off or a pillow fell. This would wake the kids up and cause adults to have to get up to turn them off. There was no hot water Saturday evening or Sunday morning, so not showers...although we had decently hot water Friday evening on arrival. The lock to our bathroom door did not lock. Multiple outlets by the bed did not work. There were silverfish in one of the rooms showers-again this is a small issue I would overlook if not accompanied by many others. We came to breakfast at 8;30am Saturday and ourselves as well as others were waiting quite a while for food to be made as all the hot items were gone and the breakfast area was out of disposable plates... I will say once more hot food came out I thought it was a nice morning spread. The beds were comfortable, the rooms seem recently renovated, and the woman at the front desk was appologetic, helpful, and friendly. The hotel is obviously still doing some repairs and/or renovations but this should be told to people booking and if it interferes this much with someone's stay the establishment should consider closing for the renovation time.

I was on the third floor near the elevator. Room was pretty big and room temperature was solid. Pillows were great, but bed sunk in and gave me major pain. A few cons to the room - There was rust/mold in the bathtub and the toilet didn't flush. Looked like the handle was broke. I reported it to the staff upon noticing the issue who then proceeded to go get me a plunger. I explained it's not stuffed; it just won't flush because the handle is broke. Her response was then we aren't going to switch you because you are checking out today. I said that's fine I'm just making you aware of this problem. The breakfast area was decent. Nothing to brag about, however I always appreciate a hot breakfast and when more is offered then just bagels, cereal, and muffins. They had sausage, omelettes, cinnamon rolls and an assortment of others. Other amenities: The ice machine was out of order. Three of the 4 treadmills in the fitness center were out of order and the swimming pool was very small in total width and only went up to 4 feet deep so couldn't even jump in or swim around so we opted to not go in after initially being excited and packing our swim suits. One last note is my room rate when I checked out on the website was $124, however after I submitted, I saw payment of $182. I looked at my order summary and saw a 19.99 non refundable charge to book plus taxes of course. I wish this amount appeared before I processed the payment because I would have looked elsewhere. That's too much to pay for one night during the work week in the city of New Castle. Overall not the worst stay, but given the price, and the fact that the hotel is only a few years old with many issues, this was an underwhelming experience. Will stay at the comfort or quality inn next time.

Let me start my review with the room has a enormous full wall size window ... with blackout blinds…read more The hallways are bright with color and lighting. It is located on a highway, so even with the air condition on, you hear tractor trailers going by the hotel. The staff were very willing to work with me as far as housekeeping ... I was working nights and needed to sleep all day. The staff uniforms were eclectic (bedroom slippers, low riding shorts, no work badges) making it sometimes difficult to identify who was staff. The lobby always had guests mingling. There is a pool. Breakfast is served in the main lobby. There isn't a restaurant in the hotel but many options within a 10 minute drive. The room had lots of lighting options, soft and firm pillows (embroidered on the pillow cases), large walk in shower, and plenty of room to put stuff. I would definitely return to this establishment.
