Quail's Covey Bed & Breakfast - Well hello there, deer (in the backyard)!

I think she may be a little clairvoyant, because Charlie anticipated our every need, and few we didn't even know we even had! Our every request and whim was fulfilled before, during, and after our stay, and if Charlie couldn't provide something, she knew someone who could, including her wonderful husband John. Our rooms were spacious and comfortable, with breathtaking views that changed with the weather or time of day. Each breakfast was more spectacular than the last, and we could have spent the rest of our days sitting on our balconies. But Charlie encouraged us to get out and about and see all that Hartville has to offer. Restaurants, wineries, farms, antiques stores, specialty shops, and some amazing second-hand stores awaited us, and we enjoyed each and every one of them. We were welcomed with open arms by Charlie and John, and everyone in the community, and will carry the memories we made with them in our hearts forever. Highly recommend!

We were 9 people which occupied most of the accommodations and we were treated like we were in our own home. The rooms and the house is beautifully decorated and extremely clean. We were treated to home cooked breakfast, and freshly made Amish donuts. The house is right in the middle of The Amish with horse and buggy's, fields of corn and cows and horses. We would highly recommend staying at this establishment and would definitely stay again in the future. This is definitely a find!

The location to the wineries is very good, while it is also close to the town of Madison. The setting is beautiful. The home is a country style mansion situated on a vineyard and a horse farm. The host, Kay, is a very nice person. She is friendly and helpful. She prepares a very nice breakfast using locally sourced ingredients. We were served fresh OJ, scrambled eggs with cheese and fresh chopped vegetables, bacon and homemade bread that was toasted perfectly. The decaf coffee was very good as well. Our room was located on the top floor and had a small balcony that overlooked the vineyard and horse corral. It was very peaceful and pleasant. The room had a king bed and a small refrigerator. The bathroom was small, but serviceable. The room temperature is centrally controlled, which makes it a little tricky for the host to find a temperature level that is comfortable for guests on different floors. There is a very active train track less than 2 miles from the B&B. Light sleepers may struggle with this as the trans run 24 hours.

Was looking for a handicap accessible hotel for my toddler and infant to visit with their…read moregrandparents. Stayed in the King Suite and it's basically an apartment. Had room for a bassinet, stroller, walker, wheelchair, and floor space to play with seating for everyone without it being uncomfortable. Immaculate, and I was down on the carpet a lot so I got a good look. Super comfortable bed. Very sturdy dining table with six sturdy chairs. Giant, comfy Jacuzzi tub was a special treat. Small pool that was perfect for our littles (stairs in and out). Breakfast was also perfect for us: waffles, sausage or bacon, scrambled eggs with cheese, bagels, oatmeal. Really kind, helpful desk staff. Close to the highway and lots of tasty carryout. The previous reviews made me nervous, so wanted to note that as of January 2025 I'd have no reservations recommending this place to families. Only minor notes: no streaming service on the TVs, so bring your laptop or iPad for your favorite shows. No plates, silverware, or literally anything in the kitchen, so bring what you need. (Full sized fridge and microwave and sink, though - I'll just bring some dishes next time.) Couch is worn and tired, but so am I. :). And, strangely, no chain on the door so we barricaded it at night to make sure the toddler couldn't sneak out.

I am checking out as I write this review. We stayed at this hotel because it was the host location…read morefor our family reunion. Overall, the hotel was just okay, but several issues made the experience disappointing. When we arrived, the elevators were not working, so we had to carry our luggage up to the third floor. In our room, the bathroom sink had very low water pressure and drained extremely slowly. The lighting in the room was also dim and had an unpleasant yellow tint. The most frustrating issue happened after checkout. We spent a little time in another family member's room before leaving, and my son realized that he had forgotten his large satin pillow. We checked the family member's room and determined that it must have been left in our room. However, the pillow was not in the room and had not been turned in to the front desk as a lost item. The manager was not helpful and repeatedly stated that no pillow had been found. Her dismissive response was irritating and made me feel as though my concerns were not being taken seriously. The pillow did not simply disappear. While it can easily be replaced, the larger issue is the lack of accountability and concern regarding a guest's missing property. This experience left me feeling that the hotel is untrustworthy. Guests should be able to leave personal belongings behind accidentally and feel confident that hotel staff will handle the situation honestly and professionally.
