I refused to talk to anyone or turn out my pockets without a lawyer, police and proof on video tape. That was the only way they let me go. Cost me a whole day at police station, but now im suing their ass off. Do not shop here if you are a young woman. They are suspicious as hell, no training in shoplifting and will call cops thinking you stoke a $5 item. Who are these people????

The store, though small, has a bit of everything for everyone; current comics and TPBs, back issues, and my personal favorite...the bargain bins. It's the kind of wild esoterica shop that you don't see around much, selling everything from coyote skulls to cheeky postcards. I also want to mention that the proprietors told us to be sure to check out Mexicali Blues (a similar shop a block down) and the cashiers at Mexicali Blues told us to be sure to stop by Rock & Art. So clearly they are good neighbors as well!

Huge and beautiful decorated game room with playing tables for Warhammer, Battletech, Magic, D&D, etc. They have a bank of Gashapon machines that entertain my 9 year old daughter for 10 minutes so I can shop in peace while she figures out which one she wants to put tokens into. Been in probably 100 times over the years for tournaments or to browse through their massive selection and despite what the negative reviews say I have never seen the owner or staff be rude to anyone. Literally never. I have however on many occasions seen gamers stand at the register and want to chat with them for 20 minutes about their life story and I've seen the staff have to cut them off to help the next person in line, which is not rude at all it's completely reasonable. PRO TIP: If you go into a business don't expect the staff to always be able to chat with you for 10 minutes about your favorite hobby as they have product to order, shelves to stock, online orders to process, and other customers to attend to. It is a business after all and they are working. Based on my experiences here I tend to think many of these negative reviews are from super nerds who don't have enough social awareness to understand that they can't consume 20 minutes of a staff members time with chit chat or that perhaps their trade in item isn't as rare and valuable as they think it is. Ignore the bad reviews, go in for yourself and I think your experience will be very similar to mine.
