As a Kings Park native, I've gone to this florist for years. I waited a week to post this hoping I might be less pissed, but I'm not... I will never go back to this florist again after the rude way I was treated and given the embarrassing bouqet of flowers I walked out with Mother's Day weekend. No matter what your job is, it is your primary goal to ensure your customer is happy. It is not the customer's job to make your job easier because you are busy. And when a customer is unhappy, and says so in a classy and respectful way, you make the situation right. END OF STORY. I came in the Saturday before Mother's Day to buy two bouquets -- one for $25 and one for $50. Before I even asked for help, the blonde woman behind the counter looked at me as if I had 10 heads... Are you picking up an order? No, ma'am, I'd like to purchase two bouquets (i'm asking myself, is that so shocking?). She promptly disappeared for 20 minutes, never asking what I wanted in the bouquet. She did, however, bustle back to the desk to grab something mid-way and let me know how crazy they were today, understandably. In the meantime, another worker sold a $50 bouquet to a man, and I commented on how beautiful it was -- the man said, I didn't even look, I'm sure my wife will like it. My woman comes back with my bouquets -- two seemingly identical bouquets, one bigger than the other, and filled with wilted flowers, the majority of which were carnations. Maybe I'm crazy, but when a customer is spending $50 on a bouquet and you don't ask what he or she wants, isn't it common sense to include some of the more expensive flowers? A single rose? Maybe a hydrangea? A sunflower? I very calmly told the woman that I appreciate how busy they are, and I'm sure she's a mom who has to work so hard on a weekend that is meant to honor her, but that this was very surprising... SHE ROLLED HER EYES, SNATCHED MY CREDIT CARD FROM MY HANDS AND SWIPED IT WITHOUT ANOTHER WORD. Then she had the nerve to tell me I should have spoken up, while she handed me a pen to sign the receipt... I told her this bouquet was embarrassing and disappointing and reminded her she never gave me a chance to tell her. Clearly being conflicted, AND PISSED, i said, just forget it... she then snatched the larger bouquet out of my hands and said, "you know what? i'll give you a rose..." BIG FREAKING DEAL. If you are reading this, please understand that customer service and friendliness go a very long way -- if your flowers are gorgeous and you are an asshole, it doesn't matter -- I'm not giving you my business. The right thing to do would have been to give me a different bouquet, and not make me feel guilty about having to ask for that. There are two florists in Kings Park, and you best believe I will go to the other, despite the quality of his flowers... and I'll tell my friends and family to do the same. read more

On December 20th a 'birthday cake' arrangement was efficiently delivered by Kings Park Florist. As I've ordered many floral arrangements in the past from various sources I know what to expect. However, I've never seen such a beautiful display of flowers and have it last as long as this one. The birthday recipient was floored by the beauty as well as it's ongoing longevity. I've never purchased any flowers from this store and I never leave bad reviews. Today, I called to ask, very simply, about typical starting prices for bridesmaid bouquets (which every other florist I have called has been more than obliged to give me that information about their establishment) and was told "well thats not usually how things work" but if I wanted to leave my number the owner would try to get back to me with that information "sometime at the end of the week." Nothing about that phone call even remotely made me want to inquire further about what kind of arrangements they offer. I am editing this because I am now reading other reviews about a rude employee who (according to these reviews) has a history of patronizing customers...If you are reading this be cautious of this establishment as they seem do not want your business... read more

I came I here and asked for a custom bouquet. The woman assisting me-a middle-aged woman with blonde hair who I assume is the proprietor of the establishment--asked me how much I wanted to spend and I said about $25 dollars. She told me she has some beautiful lavender roses that were fresh washed, so I asked for an arrangement with lavender and purple roses. I received an arrangement with a few carnations, a little lavender, and two-ONLY TWO-roses and was charged $28 and change. I then asked how much a half-dozen roses would be and was told about $32.00 and that roses are $6.50 per rose. Notwithstanding the mathematical discrepancy and my obvious dissatisfaction, the woman assisting me bluntly demanded cash or charge. Save your money. Stop n Shop has a better selection, is cheaper, and you can get what you want when you ask for it. read more

I gave this florist 5 stars a few years ago, and I felt compelled to come back and give them 5 stars AGAIN after they did an incredible job on my wedding flowers. I met with the owner to discuss my wedding flowers -- I brought in pictures knowing the look I wanted, but I wasn't too particular about the flowers. She was so, so nice and she knew exactly what flowers to include to make my bouquets, boutineers, and centerpieces look exactly as I wanted, but at a price to fit my budget. I was OBSESSED with my bouquet and we got soooo many compliments on the flowers at the reception. Our in-house coordinator at the catering hall even came up to us and said they were the nicest arrangements he has seen all year! I definitely recommend this florist. HEART BROKEN!!! TRAGIC DEATH IN FAMILY MADE WORSE BY KINGS PARK FLORIST If you value your special occasion or loved ones DO NOT USE KINGS PARK FLORIST! My wife ordered a floral arrangement this week when my grandma passed away. It was delivered to the Clayton funeral home in kings park. She payed 270.00 for it and it was weak small and tacky. When she called to inform the florist about the problem she spoke to a woman named Judy who was apathetic and dismissive. Judy made excuses and even claimed to have seen the arrangement before it was sent out and said she found it to be satisfactory for the price. If she did see it then she lied because the arrangement was an embarrassment. Finally at the insistance of my wife, Judy offered us a 40.00 refund. They probably ripped us off for about least 150.00 There is no way the arrangement they sent to the funeral home was worth 270.00. In the end the best they said they could do was to send flowers to my mom in lieu of the 40.00 credit. But when we told Judy where my mom lives she said they would have to contract the job out because it wasn't a local address. So who knows what my mom will get? Please save yourself the heartache. What a nightmare! Don't get involved with this place. During a difficult time like a death in the family. KIngs park florist managed to make things worse. read more

The staff is dedicated and above and beyond knowledgeable about their flower products. They create unique and whimsical flower arrangements for all occasions that really show how much care and love they put into their work. I've gotten flowers arrangements from here for several holidays and also have personally been the recipient of gorgeous bouquets. Very disappointed with this florist actually went to the shop to order flowers for my moms funeral the white floral spray was nice but the white floral cross for the casket placed just opposite her head read great grandpa what an embarrassment and there are pictures of it also they did refund $ to my charge and I'm waiting for it to appear BUT the lack of attention to detail was shocking even on the Clayton funeral homes part because if was they who more than likely placed it in the casket and it wasn't noted then either while their prices weren't bad the service needs improvement I won't be going back there in the future fore any flower arrangements read more

Very disappointed in this florist. First they were pushing other products while my call was in reference to purchasing a floral spray for my mothers funeral. During my conversation, I spelled the names of the four of us to be listed on the card for my mother FIVE times, and had her read it back to me. When I flew into NY for my mothers funeral, I looked at the card and my husbands name was NOT spelled correctly. How do you misspell the name "Guy"and transpose it into "Gary?" Today I called them to express my utter embarrassment and dismay and the manage apologized and never offered ANY resolve of a refund. Although the flowers were beautiful, this was my final moment with my mother. Even though I know this is a trivial matter compared to my loss, I am still amazed that no one there could pay enough attention to detail to something small that meant so much. I will also mention that my sister also called for a white flower cross that was suppose to say Beloved Grandma, but said GRANDPA. Should I ever have to order flowers again, I will not go back to this establishment. read more
