I was especially impressed on the most recent project that included mounting of a digital photo frame. Carlos simply "wasn't having it" to mount the frame with the electrical cord showing! He expertly drilled holes and snaked the cord through the inside of the wall and back out just above the electrical outlet for an amazingly clean look. He had the finishing caps to cover the entry and exit holes too. Carlos and the crew also took a very personal interest in mounting my career memorabilia (22 plaques and awards!) beautifully in my home office. And they are undaunted by "oddball" stuff like mounting clips for a tapestry in my media room to cover unsightly electrical panels. Their excellence starts with the manager Marc who gathers a LOT of information from you (pictures, model numbers, installation videos, etc.) so that the crew arrives fully prepared. When he set up his tables, tools and camera to video the install I knew I was in good hands! He was helped by Khadir and another young man. They communicated well and made a great team. They arrived early (who does that? Contractors are rarely on time). He explained everything along the way, to include the parts that were missing (luckily it was only a few screws that he had in his tool box), how to work the bed, and which mattress would be the best for that bed (based on the instructions given). I am so relieved to have this project complete. I have no doubt about it being installed correctly. Great job. I'll definitely call them again if I need similar service. By the way, they also followed up with a detail list of what was missing (by part number/name) and where to find it in the manual. Packages start at $400 + you may be charged a fee if your car is extra dirty. I asked if there were any cleanings/ packages available around the $300 price point and they straight up said no. Not happy because I felt like they didn't want to work with me and became less interested in me because I didn't want to throw down 5 Benjamin's for a detailing. They didn't offer any cleaning services for $300 which is ridiculous. It would have been nice to just work with me and let me know what I can get for $300, which every other detailer offers packages at this price point.

I cannot recommend College HUNKS Hauling Junk & Moving based on my experience…read more I booked my move well in advance and was given an arrival window of 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. On moving day, no one showed up, and no one contacted me to let me know there would be a delay. After the arrival window passed, I called the local office more than 15 times. Although someone answered the phone, they could not provide an estimated arrival time or tell me when, or if, the movers would arrive. I also contacted the corporate office, and even two managers there were unable to get answers from the local Maryland branch. The general manager did not contact me until several hours after my scheduled arrival window had ended. By around 4:00 p.m., I still had no idea whether my move would happen that day. Because I had to vacate my home and meet my lease deadline, I had no choice but to hire another moving company on extremely short notice. The replacement move cost me $1,517.10, which was significantly more than the $1,203.25 estimate I had accepted from College HUNKS. I understand that delays happen. What was unacceptable was the complete lack of communication. If someone had simply called me to explain the situation or let me know they could not complete my move, I could have made other arrangements much earlier and avoided the additional expense and stress. Moving is already one of the most stressful experiences a person can go through. The lack of communication from this office turned an already difficult day into an incredibly frustrating one. I hope this office improves its communication so that other customers do not have to experience the same situation.
